The intention to use kyc is good. But still it's good characteristics does not apply for every situation. Like for example if the site was hacked. All your private infos are can also be valuable for the hackers. They can sell it on the black market or worse track you down and try to root on all your accounts. But I think casino doesn't need kyc for their respective clients. Just like a regular casino. They doesn't care who you are. They don't need to know who you are.

Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think

KYC and gambling. Gambling is prohibited in many countries. And that's why I refrain from signing up for the KYC-compulsory platforms.

I think anonymity is so important for gambling apps.
That is why I am not fond of having a KYC in an online crypto casino. People are using crypto casino like me because I don't want to reveal my identity for some reason while playing gambling. I know that KYC must be good but for me, it is not appropriate to use this method in this field probably in trading and investment will it perfectly suit. Actually, I am now currently into a crypto casino and it has no KYC required that makes me like it. Besides, it has a lot of amazing features such as Mobile Friendly, No country restrictions, Live Chat, Email support 24/7, Low deposit options, Fast withdrawals, and SSL encryption. This crypto casino has also a bunch of bonuses that will boost your gameplay.

Personally, if asked KYC needed or not. Actually i am not agree with it. Because actual i come for crypto gambling is i can do it anonymously. If must KYC then it is no different with gambling sites in my country.
If you like gambling and if you are a big time gambler then you cant escape kyc because if you already reach your accounts limit a site will maybe ask for your personal info ( kyc ) before you can continue playing or withdrawing/depositing . Kyc is important for both gambler and the site owner so why wont you just do it  ?  If you trust the site and if you think that the site is legit then go.

I don't think kyc really needed in gambling section, especially for the crypto gambling because people were playing crypto gambling to avoid filling their real identity. They better to choose crypto gambling than traditional gambling if they want to hide their personal identification because it's not worth to verify to the gambling sites.

If you talk about the real casino, then perhaps, it is necessary for the member to fills KYC, so the casino will know who are their members and who is the winner. Besides that, the member can use so many option coin as the bets, and they will choose the other gambling website which doesn't have KYC.

Firstly, this topic does not belong under this board. Move this to Gambling discussion board asap.

Coming to your question, I basically despise the entire KYC process in crypto in general and avoid filling it unless absolutely necessary(Example: Extra security in exchanges like Binance, Bittrex etc).

Anonymity all the freaking way!

That will break the purpose of crypto's as freedom and decentralized if the casinos start to implement KYC. One good reason that I can see is to filter kids and teenagers registrations and players.

But I don't think that casinos will ever think of it. All they do is business and if their local gov't will issue an order for them to start conducting KYC to their customers, they don't have choice but to obey that order.

To know if the one who is playing is already at a legal age,
To know if the gambler's location is against gambling .
I think is the only sole purpose of it or to know if some one is abusing it like other gambling casino they want to limit their players by one account per person only.

I don't think so if you have your own gambling site and you implemented KYC I think that is not tempted to the gamblers because of the majority of all gamblers who are avoided on KYC which is they don't want to risk their personal data especially crypto enthusiast. I think KYC implementation is not necessary on online gambling, email and phone verification will be fine.

depends on the situation. both sides has pros and cons. i personally prefer no kyc. just jump in and play.
but when a gambling site will do a "big business" i totally understand that they are requiring kyc process. You have the choice, do kyc or move forward to another gambling site Smiley

I think casino owners are just being cautious, maybe they just wanna know who will sweep all the winnings and make them bankrupt haha but kidding aside, I really think kyc is has both pros and cons in being implemented on online casinos

They already have all the ropes. The fact that they don't know who's playing in the system doesn't change anything. I also think there is nothing to be careful about!

Everything online is now hackable. If we're all aware,
we could notice that there were several cases of hackings these days so even gambling sites are now requiring Kyc.
It would be helpful in tracking illegal transactions.
I see it as a positive thing because they're giving us an assurance of security.
But gamble in some country is illegal, so does anyone wants to give their personal information on gambling sites? This is unsafe for players.
Anyway, a lot of persons can fake KYC to participate in bounty campaigns so this way is not the way to against hacker.

KYC in some sites take a long time before the information you supply to be verify, I am not in support of kyc most especially when it comes to gambling, gambling should be left anonymous and privacy is required why are they conducting a kyc for just games which may end within minutes and winning cashed out.

Personally i wouldn't give a try to any gambling platform that require KYC before play game on their platform, not even when i have win the game on a very high side and request my KYC before withdraw, i will rather fuck them with the money and keep my identity. What is the meaning of cryptocurrency if KYC is involve?

If this has to do with fiat, am not afraid because we have done that before the advent of online casinos.

The purpose and objective of KYC is to prevent fraud, money laundering and to imply the security measures which is necessary for both users and the gambling site. It will benefit us though it sometimes causes us hassle. It's important for the monitoring of legit transactions as well.

People's participation into cryptocurrency accepted gambling is to stay anonymous, when the user is with specific purpose they'll surely go with KYC free gambling websites. Bounties and other ico programs request for KYC which is to avoid people from specific country where the respective product or the project is restricted. When there are so many access to play immediately who is gonna choose something that take days for the KYC procedure and further to start playing.
