It's become the pre-caution way in order to protect the owner from harm.
But in other side, it's annoying when people choose crypto as their transaction but they want also privacy.
Well, it's inevitable when the regulation keep evolving every time so we also need to adapt !
The good thing with cryptocurrency is the feature.about blockchain technology where records could be trace publicly. So transactions is clear and transparent. This should be applied to a government system so that there is no need for an FOI (Freedom of Information bill) where one could get the right for information to access the government files or records especially in terms of.money.

Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think
mostly the implementation of KYC gives the confidence for the people to stay safe for and if any problems for their going on you will easily trace your identity using the KYC method and they will also perform well and find the best person to give proper guidance.

Yes, kyc in gambling site shouldn't obliged unless there is bad behaviour being done by user. I think, if a casino will ask for kyc at the beginning just before we make a deposit, such casino won't get many active users.

Well, everyone isn't like you. There are people who like to stay private. There are people who hesitates to share their details online, specially to some random people. You should be aware that people can misuse your identification information. You might be a victim of identity theft if your ID goes into the hands of the wrong people. What if the exchange database where you stored your information got hacked?
Yes you are right, some users do not want to get their identity to give in gambling sites for security purposes and so blockchain is already implemented so blockchain is enough already to stay away from.KYC.

However, if this is a mandate from.the government then it should be respected. There are minors playing online gambling and this should be avoided. Minors should go to school.instead of playing games online gambling money given from.their parents.

Anyway, I think there is no wrong in implementing KYC. This is just a way to.secure the platform. But is still the decision of the user to undergo KYC or not.

KYC might be important on other exchanges and ICO because the essence is to check the activities of users in other to prevent fraud and money laundering but I don’t think it should be applicable to gambling. I doubt if anyone would save a huge money that has been laundered in a casino site in form of bankroll, that’s totally impossible, so why disturb gamblers with KYC implementation?

Gamblers always like to keep their information private and this is the main reason why many have stopped offline gambling to online gambling. There are countries that prohibit gambling, and those who gamble from such countries could hide their IP address and play anonymously. So demanding for KYC from them is like exposing them already.

Usually, trusted gambling websites will ask you for KYC verification if you have massive transaction and balance on your account, for security purposes. I dont see any point on requiring KYC procedures before using the website and gamble. Requiring KYC verification before using the website will decrease the chance of registering new clients.

But if the trusted gambling websites ask me for KYC, I will move to the other gambling websites because I am sure there are other trusted gambling websites which don't need to ask for KYC. I don't want to send any document to the gambling site because I don't think that is an important thing for the members to do KYC. Maybe KYC can be applied in another website out from gambling, but in the gambling website, I don't think that is a good idea to apply.

Filling KYC means we send our personal identification to the third-party which we don't know how good they reputation for keeping the document because when some data or document was upload to the internet, there are too risky to save than in the offline life.

That will break the purpose of crypto's as freedom and decentralized if the casinos start to implement KYC. One good reason that I can see is to filter kids and teenagers registrations and players.

But I don't think that casinos will ever think of it. All they do is business and if their local gov't will issue an order for them to start conducting KYC to their customers, they don't have choice but to obey that order.
In my opinion, the feelings of players should also be put into consideration. I understand that they do this to prevent minors but also take not that most gamblers that are of gambling age also don’t like giving out their private details. I stopped offline gambling after I saw the advantages of crypt gambling over fiat because of the convenience and security.

I personally will not play on a casino site with KYC implementation because I feel it is really of no use. There are other options of sites that do not ask for it before play, so I would rather play on such sites and if all casino sites makes KYC compulsory, then I might be pushed to stop online gambling.

Personally, if asked KYC needed or not. Actually i am not agree with it. Because actual i come for crypto gambling is i can do it anonymously. If must KYC then it is no different with gambling sites in my country.
If you like gambling and if you are a big time gambler then you cant escape kyc because if you already reach your accounts limit a site will maybe ask for your personal info ( kyc ) before you can continue playing or withdrawing/depositing . Kyc is important for both gambler and the site owner so why wont you just do it  ?  If you trust the site and if you think that the site is legit then go.
Maybe what to be my aim into crypto gambling site is i make account, deposit, play, if win i can withdraw it without give my data. Maybe something simple like that. That is why i pick on crypto gambling site because fiat gambling site is already much actually to pick if i want.

KYC and gambling. Gambling is prohibited in many countries. And that's why I refrain from signing up for the KYC-compulsory platforms.

I think anonymity is so important for gambling apps.

Indeed. Maybe KYC is made in some gambling sites for their security but I guess one should also be concerned with his. It has been said that almost everything online can be prone to hacking. So once a gambling site has been hacked, and your personal informations were affected or used without your consent, then it may jeopardize you and could even blame you for such happening.

But if there is a con, there is also a pro. Maybe they required it for reduction of traffic in their website. And in the aspect of hacking, they could easily track who did such.

Whatever the site's reason is, the decision still depends on the person if he wants to fill such requirement so he can play in the long run.

Indeed, KYC verification now has often to all bounty programs like ICO's projects and all related on ICO, but gambling is different into them.
I think KYC verification on gambling is not a neccessary thing to do, because as far as I know, gamblers are didn't want to submit their personal data just for gambling. They want of being anonymous to protect their selves from theft if they hold a huge amount on their account. If somebody knew that they had stored a huge amount of their account and the risk was there so much better if gambler will remain anonymously in order to protect their selves.

I disagree requiring kyc for the crypto currency gambling site, people choosing crypto gambling because they want to secured their anonymity as a gambler But if government forcing that kyc requirements nothing to do is follow the law inforcing by the government.

I don't think the government is behind this and we all know the site's owner can apply this in their site whenever they want because they own it and I think he is also thinking for the greater good of the site. It is true that there will be no anonymity in that but the thing is that people are taking advantage of that anonymity and sometimes, it is not that good.
Even for online gambling sites there are some restrictions based on their jurisdiction so you have to follow them to get approved legally. But myself personally don't like KYC and avoid playing on those sites if they have KYC requirement since its not called as decentralization.

All the rest of the gamblers in the world will stay gambling online if KYC is not required. Even before BTC was created casinos online are already asking for details of tgeir customers because some state does consider online gambling with their laws. I'm however thinking why those EOS gamblings dapps aren't requiring KYC to their customers.

Kyc is not basically required if your only small time gambler and kyc is mainly required if your a big time gambler but i think its not a big deal to a big time gambler to lend his personal info to a gambling site that he really trust  .kyc is not a hindrance to a gambler to play online gambling because online gambling do have some advantages and benefits compare to a tradtional ones .

I don't want to visit a gambling site that required KYC verification, it really depends on us if we are going to pursue our selves to pass the KYC verification in gambling which is a very risk on us as a gambler. I think if there is a gambling site that has KYC only fewer gamblers will use that gambling site those who are willing to show their selves. But those who remain anonymously will not undergo KYC verification, maybe they will afraid.
You are right, a casino which requires kyc will see its traffic decrease drastically. It would be a shoot in the foot. If gamblers were fine about giving their personal informations I believe they wouldn't be gambling at crypto casinos, but at the online fiat casinos.
Nobody wants to win a jackpot and have all their informations watched simultaneously, there are gamblers playing even being under age, there are people who don't want others seeing what they do as hobby. Kyc ceases all these customers.

KYC is frowned upon by most gamblers as most of us want to stay anonymous and we want to keep it that way. But if a particular gambling site is requiring to complete my KYC owed to some legal procedures and I know they are authentically legit, I will finish it without hesitation. I just hope they are doing their job in legit way. But with the current scenario in online gambling, most of them are not pushing a customer to do the KYC stuff. If you don't want to undergo such process, just select the sites who do not require such stuff but be careful on what site you want to send your money to.
Just be prepared to share your prize with your government if you win at a casino that features kyc.
They don't take the risk with you, but they want a large piece of the reward. Grin
