Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think
I think the implementation of KYC method is really giving the confidence for everyone but this case also it need to be properly regulated for every gambling sites because after this implementation will be lots of difficulties to gamble by rats of people that's why I am saying this

You can't enter a casino when under 18 so I don't see why there should be different rules for online casinos.
But online is completely different even if the gambling sites were asking for KYC to restrict the under age people to enter into casinos they might fake the details and will enter the sites. But KYC often used to stop the rewards to go into the hands of legit winner.

I dont agree with kyc procedure at all, I think crypto should be anonymous, no matter how legit and secure the site is, identity is a really important data, once it leaked nothing can stop the hacker to used it for a lot of purpose, if I want to reveal my identity then its better to used centralised gambling site, at least when I do kyc there is a law that could help me when something happen
Honestly speaking, you have every right to be against KYC, and judging from the view of anonymity, I would say that you have a very great point. Privacy is a major priority to every gambler but lets not be too fast to put into consideration the main essence of these KYC.

The rate to which people launder money these days is really high, so many fraudulent people who disguise under the umbrella of a website which gambling site is inclusive, and if KYC is to prevent these activities then I feel everyone should be considerate enough .

I am a very private person and I enjoy to gamble without disclosing my identity but considering the reason for KYC implementation I will not mind filling the KYC form, the best is to gamble on a safe website.
You are a legend indeed.  You made the answer so simple, sweet and easy to comprehend. I am truly impressed. I almost vowed I would never fill a KYC form on any casino site but then will I say I am beginning to have a change of mind?  Well I understand the angle you are coming from, crime rate is truly high in all online platforms and also KYC is to prevent minors from gambling, so it’s bad if I  fail to look at the very major reasons for the new implementation

I love to keep it private gambling also, and it’s always embarrassing to me when I find casino sites asking for personal sites though I see that the intentions can be genuine, especially when I know so well that I am on a well-known casino site but my only question now is this. What happened to people, genuine gamblers that would have easily filled the KYC form but because of the status of gambling in their country, that’s those from countries where gambling is illegal, how would they fill KYC.

KYC is needed for gambling since some of the casinos have bonus offers for first time players
The casinos use this security feature to help prevent multiple account deposit abuse - it is not to steal your information.
Tell me what a tiny island in the middle of nowhere wants with your picture ID

Still adding KYC features on gambling site not recommended to find the scammers on their sites. Instead they can give the IP address access limit for each users on their server this can solve the multiple user problem.
I hope you may answer many people can stay in one IP address as well. It is not valid answer to have the KYC verification involved.

In my opinion, the feelings of players should also be put into consideration. I understand that they do this to prevent minors but also take not that most gamblers that are of gambling age also don’t like giving out their private details. I stopped offline gambling after I saw the advantages of crypt gambling over fiat because of the convenience and security.

I personally will not play on a casino site with KYC implementation because I feel it is really of no use. There are other options of sites that do not ask for it before play, so I would rather play on such sites and if all casino sites makes KYC compulsory, then I might be pushed to stop online gambling.
Yes. Sharing personal details with a third party is what no gambler would like to do and these gambling operators would not bother to put us into consideration.  I don’t think it will ever get to a point where all casino sites would ask For KYC and if such time comes, it means sending many out of online gambling. For someone like me who is hiding my identity to gamble because gambling is illegal in my country, it would mean Good bye to online gambling for me.

I hope this KYC issue is corrected as soon as possible because it is becoming more serious by the day and I am becoming so uncomfortable with it.
Giving out personal information is never been a convenient thing for us people who do are really serious on hiding their true identity online and that's
why Kyc is always been hated nor not being preferred by majority.Gamblers came from traditional fiat platforms do switch out on crypto due to this
issue since crypto gambling sites do give out that benefit on hiding yourself without the need on complying these rules. If one day it would be a requirement
then it would be a big mess up for most gamblers.

I don't really see any important reasons why anyone should go for a KYC when signing up on a crypto gambling site. These are crypto sites and the main purpose of cryptocurrency to keep users anonymous, and cryptocurrency doesn't require giving any information to receive or send payments, so why would anyone be telling you to do KYC on a gambling site? I might agree for exchanges but not on a gambling, that u disagree with. All I need is just my email and a password to sign up and have full access to the site. Any gambling site that is asking for KYC is likely up to something, and KYC doesn't mean that a site is legit.

They have all the right though as its their casino site, they however can't force you to submit your information. You can join to another casino site for that matter. Of course they are up to something maybe avoid the cease and decease order of government incase the government find them catering kids customers.

things may be different later on. there are states that online gambling is banned and most importantly, they prohibit kids from gambling and so the reason there is kyc. of course like you hates it and will move to another online casino that doesn't ask documents. its all up to you but then there may come a time that we may not ever see a gambling site that won't require KYC.
Some country allowed gambling but there is a condition they must follow and that is to prohibit kids from playing under the age of 18 for example then that means even if it's allowed but people who wants to gamble but still under 18 years can't play or gamble in the casino so they'll need to implement a KYC to avoid their casino having gamblers who's not 18 years old above that is why they have a law about it.

In gambling, of course KYC is not needed at all in my opinion. Because people play gambling just for fun without anything complicated. Just an example, if someone just first gambles and the goal is just to have fun. Is the person complicated by doing kyc first. In gambling doing kyc seems to be a waste of time. I have never played gambling on a site that requires members to do kyc first.

It would not be necessary to do KYC in gambling. But with the rampant hacking that's happening in gambling world, that KYC would be the best resort to be done to minimize those kind of attacks.
I'm not against with KYC because i fully understand that it is only for security measures for the player itself and the gambling site. But i still think that KYC can be fake too by giving them personal information not even related to the customer itself. The reason that are most gamblers avoided KYC and only play to those casinos who don't require KYC.

The purpose and objective of KYC is to prevent fraud, money laundering and to imply the security measures which is necessary for both users and the gambling site. It will benefit us though it sometimes causes us hassle. It's important for the monitoring of legit transactions as well.

I couldn't agree more, It's good that the gambling site is doing that because it only means they wanted to protect the gamblers as well from fraud. KYC is very important because it can make the gambler and the owner to feel at ease knowing that all people using the website has been fully verified. It might be bothersome to fill out but just look at the bright side of it of being secure.
I beg to disagree with these points. KYC regulations to prevent money laundering have no way it secures gamblers. It’s just a policy the government feels it’s necessary to prevent the activities of those who launder money and other fraudulent activities and I personally feel it has nothing to do with gamblers. Have you ever wondered how this protects the interest of a gambler? And do you think this is safe for a gambler? Off course NO

As a gambler, I love it when I play without my information been disclosed, I always loved gambling when I was much younger but because I hated staying in the gathering of people to play games, I avoided casino centers but I was so glad when I discovered online gambling, where I have t do it privately without having to tell anyone about myself. KYC is not of any use in gambling.
Very good point indeed. I like the angle to which you came in, yes KYC is for a reason but the good reason is definitely not in favor of the player. So of what benefit is it for a player to risk his personal information to a site that there is no guarantee that it will not be hacked. Or how can a gambler be so sure that there is no other reason for this requirement aside the one they have made us to understand.

Truth be told, KYC implementation might be very useful in other platforms but I do not see the necessity of having it on a gambling site. I will never fill the form on any site, rather I would look out for other gambling sites that will give me freedom to play games without intruding on my privacy.

I do not mind KYC for a gambling site. If you are genuine and you have no intention to cheat or scam, then there is no need to fear of KYC.  Also by doing kyc, the people will not be involved in any illegal activities.
Well the exchange knows what is going on right? They know the person you transfer you coins to or you receive the coins from. So I think a gambling site does not need to do that or at least you should not risk your identity for the money you gamble for on the site. There are people who do not want KYC on gambling site and this is why they just refrain gambling on such sites.

Kyc is important in gambling can't prevent abuse but it can't resolve all issues.

Imagine to play a poker game, a sit and go or a cash table game and a player is using 2 accounts, what happens?

He can abuse creating collusion to take advantage on other players.
