Sad to say but it is true to some extent. There are several players that are abusing the platform of most gambling sites that offer bonuses for new registrants and then later on they will jump to other platforms without care so I think it is only good at the beginning. Before i was too innocent about gambling sites and in the end i was fooled and lost money, so based on that it is important to have background checks about something you want to put in money like gambling sites. Check for reviews and their performance and if it is an old one try to see their performance trend through years of them functioning. That's what i mostly do when it is something money is involve.

I would like to comment to avoid giving bonuses of types such as money that they can immediately withdraw, which would only result in account spams so they can get free money. Probably a type where they can only use it to play, and they can only withdraw after depositing OR spending all the bonuses they got. You could also introduce a rake back system right from the start. Those welcome bonus in newer websites can also be true. I'm not telling that all of them are legit but some of them are running the business for real and truthful as they compete with the older ones.

But the trust factor and meter for them is no longer favorable because of the new casinos that have an agenda to scam users. That's why some gamblers already have a thought that if it is a new casino, higher chance that it's not legit.

Welcome bonus means that your services are good, and you're in for casino business competition. It will be a big flop even after the whole "welcome bonuses" offer to users, they are still complaining of the services been render to them, and difficulties in payments.
It's better to have a legit casino without welcome bonuses than having one that cannot be fund with bonuses

I would rather prefer a good games and support for a casino instead of those "welcome bonuses". Anyway those "welcome bonuses" are just bait for getting new users. They have impossible requirements. Even if users manage to fulfill the requirements, the casino ends up holding the funds for months because they think the user cheated (lol even they know how stupid and nearly impossible it is to achieve those wager requirements).
