I think there are various reasons that obstruct an individual path to financial freedom.
In my opinion, having no savings stashed somewhere for emergencies is a big obstacle to achieving financial freedom. People spend lavishly on frivolous items and later come around to regret purchasing such items. And without some savings to fall back on when your account is in the red, when then would you do? You’ll head on down to the bank to take out a loan with some ridiculously high interest rate. But you’re broke and need the money so you take it and now owing the bank. If only you had some savings right?
When all’s rosy, It’s always good to keep some money for the rainy day.

I have no problem with the government since my life plan is never to work under any man or company, my biggest obstacle right now is not having enough fund aside for investment, not only in crypto and stocks but other businesses online that I am already into.

Each of us has a unique life situation so what is your biggest obstacle to achieving it ?

Definitely, the availability of the sources of money.  With limited job opportunity and huge numbers of competitors, this one of the biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom when we are born in a second to the poorest rank of the society.  Having no fund to start a business towards financial freedom is also one of the biggest obstacle.  But I think the no.1 biggest obstacle is ourselves.  Our mind setting and attitude our traits and how we perceive the things that is happening around us.  I always believe that if we wanted some change it must start from within us.

Doing the same thing over and over again will not produce different result, that is one of the saying that I am so fond of.  So if we need improvement, we have to improve ourselves too.

OP's question is too general for me, but your answer is absolutely correct. Our biggest obstacle is ourselves, we have forced ourselves into difficulties and barriers because of fear. We should not blame our circumstances and conditions for not being better than others, we are not brave enough to step out of our comfort zone to do things we have never done. "It's not your fault if you were born into a poor family, but it's your fault when you grow up poor." Our lives are what we choose.
It's interesting what is discussed here, and I also agree with that the biggest obstacle is ourselves. Actually what is our question to others, is the first question for ourselves to answer. But we don't realize this little thing so that later we can learn more from what happens to ourselves.
Too many people blame circumstances, especially their financial problems, but is it true that circumstances are fully responsible for the problems they face? I do not think so. Indeed, in certain situations, our main problem is outside of us, but if we think about it, the biggest problem is ourselves.

Inflation is a obstacle to financial freedom. If you are able to make some money it is not able to take care of needs you have because of high inflation that is eating the money you have and you can't have some savings. If you want to have financial freedom you must have reserve that you can use in investment but high inflation is obstacle especially if your earning is small. In the past inflation was reduced and you can save and have reserve but now is difficult to do, you feed from hand to mouth, you get money enough for feeding of family and no reserve.

When you've got a lot of obligations that you just can't let go, that's for sure one of the reasons for someone to be stopped reaching his dream of being financially free.

But I know that there are a lot of hard working people that despite with too many obligations, they still manage to reach their goals and one of it is to have the financial freedom.

It all sums up with any strategy aside from working hard and smartly and as well as being an investor and a saver.

Life that I am living right now is teaching a lot of stuff about the financial situation of me and my family. I am a guy who is always straight and do not want to bend the rules of book. I am going with routine life with a part time job in local bar and at the same time pursuing the education (side courses). Its very hard for me to live on single job so I am also working out my hard time through forum's earnings and ton of side hustles that I keep doing all the time.

Now you guys might have learnt by now that I am just the average earner and not doing great about my financial freedom. For example, I want to open up my business associated with mechanical stuff but there is literal challenge of managing normal funds so what to say about other stuff?

Time, financial freedom is easy for those who started early and accumulated assets over the course of their lives, but most of us start dealing with money as soon as they get a job, then the responsibility will be great and the return will be very low.
If you start at an early age, for example 14 years old, then by the age of three, you will have come most of the way to financial freedom, unlike if you started at 24 years old.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Probably more sources of income? Or an increase in salary. I have some space with my salary after deducting everything that I need to spend for the rest of the month, a small bit for my enjoyment, and the rest goes to my portfolio, but even then it's a tad bit paltry compared to what I want.

Information' that's one big challenge or obstacle to financial freedom, in this case not just to me but to everyone. Financial information available to you at your finger tip is what makes you privilege to financial freedom when you utilise it to your advantage.
For example, i bet there were many persons like me that never got the information about bitcoin when it first emerged but those that got to know about it earlier, keyed into it and were financially empowered when the bitcoin price skyrocketed in 2017/18. lack of information has really been an obstacle for me even in other areas of life activities.
Tbf, even with the idea that Bitcoin existed back then, I doubt most people would've actually taken it as an investment, mainly because most people don't have any idea what it is. And for those who actually do, they've already decided to take one of the two stances, to support it or to ignore it. Lack of information is indeed a factor but also knowing what said information is, is also needed. It's rather easy to say that you'd invest in Bitcoin back then since it's already happened, but realistically speaking, I doubt most would be able to when faced with the same question a decade back.

My first obstacle to financial freedom is the government, they don't have enough job opportunities for people that is willing to work for them to be able to put food on their table, instead government comes up with harsh laws to control the citizens financial life by collaborating with financial institutes. That's why government in some countries banned cryptocurrency.

Corruption is a key factor, when the country is corrupt there will be less opportunity the common man to display his talent or skill in the society and achieve his goal, government cares less for citizens and only thinks in how to steal public funds and put their families in big positions in government, nepotism government.

What you say is what is happening in all countries, not your own problem. It is understandable that governments make strict laws because that is how they maintain their existence and how they govern us. If a society is not controlled and regulated, I assure you that it will first become more chaotic than developed.

Every country has corruption, if you are the government, you will be corrupt like them, that is human nature, and it is tough to eliminate completely. But I agree, a corrupt government is the cause of economic difficulties and people's miserable life.

Regardless where we live, money is our top priority in order to survive and thrive. Having enough money to fall back on means we are entitled to more choice and possibilities. Like it or not, we are chasing or being forced to chase money in most phases of our life. Financial freedom has been most people's ultimate goal for decades, if not for centuries. To achieve this goal, we will encounter endless challenges. Each of us has a unique life situation so what is your biggest obstacle to achieving it ? I know we can make a long list of problems but there must be one or two primary reasons that really hold you back. This is where we should focus and I would like to hear your story. Thanks.

it's very difficult to be able to get passive income nowadays,, especially if you live in a city,, it's even more difficult to achieve, because the cost of living and also the needs that must be met often make it difficult for us to divide our income for needs and investments .. therefore most of it today's youth cannot achieve financial freedom at their age unless they inherit assets from their parents

You ask about obstacles in making money, right? Because the point of the question is that. So, in this case, I can only say that my obstacles in making money are three things for now and I'm still experiencing it to this day, even though I always find a solution.

The first is the lack of capital that I can turn to for profit in various directions or businesses of various sizes. The second is that stalls or places to open new businesses or side businesses have begun to decrease to support a better living income. Those are the only two that are currently holding me back because I am not a government employee who receives a monthly salary.

It may not be my biggest obstacle but this is the common reason with what I've seen in different online money forums about. And that's all about the delayed gratification.

Because when someone has the money, he just can't stop himself on purchasing the things that he want. There's no feeling of the need to invest the money because they'll earn it again and again.

That's where the cycle goes on and they'll complain that they can't invest because they can't delay the gratification that they might feel upon purchasing a thing.

So, aside from that, it also connects to the discipline in handling money.

A lot. Especially with the job, it's very hard to get a job nowadays when u only have little skill. to be financial freedom we need hard work and a dozen of investments whether is an online investment like a mutual fund, stock, or crypto or you have some kind of business. The fact is very hard to generate passive income without lot of money right?

A little bit out of topic do u guys have job for me ?  Smiley online job that requires small skill and of course remote Smiley
