There are a lot of factors. Inaction team and the lack of a working project. Also the behavior of the team. For example, when the whole system is built as a pyramid, when you are constantly asked to buy more and more coins.

I define shit coin as a rubbish coin that doesn't have good movement on the market. This coin has no real results and cannot compete in the market. This shit coin has low trust from the people and can be said as a failed coin. This coin does not have technology that can compete in the market so it cannot survive in the market for a long time. the future of the coin is not potential and is not bright so that the movement of demand and offering of this coin is not balanced.

Development that is not clear and also updates do not show progress. the team they usually use is fake too. and also whitepaper copy paste. it already shows how we can look for shit tokens or shticoin which are very detrimental.

Coins with no real tech behind them and no innovative solutions brought to the market that could solve real-world problems.
A shit coin is any coin that have no legit team behind it even if it claim to solve real time problem and a working product that does not meet up with the market requirements, this coins are dump after listen by the team member who hold large number of the coin. Price is not what matter most in a volatile market such as cryptocurrency because any coin can decrease and also increase at some point.

What actually defines a shit coin?  The continuous price decrease after listing on an exchange with actual working products in real life or a stable price and a minimal increase in price but lacking real life working products?

Price is not the sole parameter to be considered while defining a shitcoin. Because I have seen some of the very good projects getting listed at a discount to the ICO prices (and then continuing to drop) due to no fault of their own. It may be due to the prevailing market condition or as a result of the manipulation by the whales.

IMO, a shitcoin is a cryptocurrency which has no uniqueness of its own (i.e a a copycat), promoted by scammers and undergoing pump and dump cycles so that the promoters can dump their coins and profit out of it.

I think price alone does not define shitcoin. Given the volatility of cryptocurrency, prices of a coin going up and down from time to time is a common phenomena. We can also see many good and promising coins have gone down in price due to various reasons like lack of enough advertisement. Even a so called shitcoin may rise in price due to its hype. I think good and strong team, technology, goals etc can determine the value and importance of a coin. So we should take these things into consideration before investing.
Price is nothing but a number. No one can detect a potential cryptocurrency with its price. Bitcoin had zero value since its beginning and later when it has first gotten a value, it was $42 for 10000 bitcoins, mean $0.0042 per coin.

Well, what do you call something that is a pain in the ass and worthless, for me that is what shitcoin means, if you invested in a coin and you lose a big sum of money without return, you can shout a big SHIT on that coin, but I don't know who first started or coined that word in the crypto community.

No experienced dev team with inactivity. No innovative and nothing new in the form of the coin. Copy paste shit of another coin. This criteria are the one for which I consider a coin as shit coin.

You should be advanced than that.

You are already talking after the listing which means you already bought the token.
Go 1 more step forward.
Before you even bought the token you must already knew that it will be a shitcoin.
How?
First, they should already have the funds and just looking forward into what they will get from an ICO.
The ICO should just be a help to make their market more larger or to introduce their token and project.
If they dont have that then be really careful. Out of 100 there could only be one that could make it or complete their roadmap with that kind of strategy.

They say when its not on the top of the list it must be a shitcoin, of course its not entirely true there are serious good coins out there just waiting for it to be fully developed and some just needs marketing. But to me the real shitcoins are those that were not listed on any exchange besides in the dex where people can buy millions of it under $100.

Once after the launch of the coin there will be no development further to keep the market of the particular coin good. These days the competence have increased much higher than the earlier days, based on the same only with continued development it is possible to stay high in the market. When this gets lacked automatically the coins goes worthless, this is what mentioned as shitcoin. Same time if there is continued development then someday it'll grow. I've come across various such coins, and one such got launched two years ago but they were giving the best to get it good value with continued development and providing updates to the investors.

No progress and active development, no real technological improvement, no real community of supporters, no real use case, unfulfilled promises by the team, unfulfilled roadmap, suspicious devs and almost zero in value - these I think are the characteristics of shitcoins that we needed to avoid!

Well of course, the word SHIT is not a a good coins, useless, no value, can't help us to give profit but can steal
our capital if We believe to their hype tactics. And most of this shitcoins are really manipulators where they control
the market to their coins then they will the community to buy their token then all of a sudden once they've hit the target
of course they will sell at once then run away and never go back.

For me shitcoin is a project that has no certainty and when viewed from its vision and mission it is not good.
Shitcoin is not suitable for investment and even if it is used as a gambling investment, it is a loss.
Please avoid shitcoin because it will only make you lose a lot of time, energy and money.

My definition of shitcoin is the coin don't have any volume trading or under $5k volume trading daily and the price of that shitcoin under $0.01 or even less. Shitcoin usually only have sell order, rarely have buy order on exchange. Also only listed on unknown exchange or small exchange.
