You should exchange dollars for bitcoins, it's no need to be big amount, even if you put only 10$ its enough, read a lot on this forum, etc,... you will do the most with reading and participating here on forum, and by the way, earn some too, other than that, exchange bitcoin for other crypto currencyes that you know something about on exchanges platforms like poloniex, beware of fake sites or rip offs offcourse.
You can look for campaigns that are accepting newbies or you can wait and work your way to become at least a Jr. Member so that you can actually join some decent campaigns and make some money out of their tokens.
It is always good to be associated with bitcoin, well knowledge about bitcoin is vast and wide but with full commitment and dedication you will make a breakthrough in it because there are so many branches or things to learn about bitcoin.

I'm Hoeda From Indonesian. I just tried to join today.
First I saw the enthusiasm of my friends in the village who had already mined bitcoin. About 3 years ago, my friend once invited me to join him.
but I refused, because at that time I was studying and working in one of the bona fide companies.
so I do not have time to spare.
and now I have graduated from my college.
then yesterday I accidentally saw my friend on Social Media, he has been successful with his efforts. I started chatting with her, she said her success was due to bitcoin.
after that I am more curious and interested to join to bitcoin.

Now what should i do as a newbie and howto get bitcoin BTC ?

All you need first is read everything understand ang be ware always before tou inter a project. Just enjoy it.
if you are still a newbie in the Bitcointalk forum, all you have to do is read and learn bit by bit what is of course about Bitcoin, Altcoin and so on. If you already understand the previous Bitcointalk forums you can just start to reply to various posts to raise the rank in your account, and post in the thread starting from what you think you understand, while you try to raise your rank also need to learn how to sell the tokens you have later on and how to be able to follow the signature campaign as well as other campaigns. Maybe that's what I have to learn in my opinion it's important for a newbie to quickly adjust to the other members.
