I agree with this, and I always advise people not to make this mistake because even if they love a team or a player, they shouldn't make bets on them all the time because there can be better sides than them in the world and they are up against a stronger team and you are still making your bet on your favourite team, you are basically giving your money away just because you support that team, you don't need to waste your money to show your support.
When you are sitting at home, watching the game on your TV, and enjoying yourself, you don't need to make a financial bet to show your support for your team, moral support is enough, just don't bet if you think that the opponent is stronger than your team so that you don't lose your money and just enjoy the game.
Who would have thought that Bayern Leverkusen was going to have a straight run up last season. Just imagine staking win or draw in all of their matches last season, even though you are given 1.2 odd, a single game with $1000 for every 38 match play is going to return a good amount of money but who knows they were going to turn out well. Even with that, they failed to beat Atalanta in the Europa final and a lot of people lose money on that match, that's how scary betting can be sometimes.
I'm very sure some gamblers are going to have the same mentality this season by always giving much win to Leverkusen thinking what happen last season is going to happen again but it can't, only in a rare money such season do repeat it self because definitely the transfer market is open, there is going to be + or - players across many different teams and there is no way the teams are going to remain the same, some players might likely resume the season with injuries as the like of Copa America and Euro is ongoing.
