You have a long list of altcoin portfolio that have tanked down by 90% since you participated in the ICO.  What was $5000 is now worth $500.  You are at a loss of $4000 and there happen to be an upcoming token sale that is pretty hyped.

You are in desperate need to recover your losses and you plan to invest in that hyped token sale in hope that you can earn 5-10x.  Would you:

1. Pump fresh fiat out of your pocket into the token sale or
2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

I will not trade off the altcoin to invest in the token sale since I am in 90% losses, the best option for me is hold these coins. I will use fresh fiat to invest in the token sale, this is if I have spare fiat.

Hold for long term is best thing to do for now, but we have to choose good coin that have strong fundamental,  like LTC,  EOS,  TRX,  XLM,  XRP,  BNB.
The chances that coins like BNB, TRX and EOS dont exist in 3-5 years are very high. Dont take it for guaranteed that they will ever pump again. The next bullrun might also be a "BTC only" run with lots of Alt-sellings in favor for BTC!

All the coins that I have have decreased in price and if sold now of course the losses I receive are very much. What I am doing now is to keep holding coins and make short-term trading. The market has started to increase but it has not lasted long.

in my opinion the way to recover losses we can do with trade even though the market is in poor condition at least we can still pocket it rather than no income at all. we know that this will not reverse losses in full, but in this way we will know how to get profits not only depending on long-term investment.

If you want to recover losses, it is better to stop for a while and recover for your losses or move on for your losses.
When playing gambling, make sure that you play for the amount that you can afford to lose so you can move on fast and recover for losses.

I would simply get out of all the shits and start to be a day trader which I already have been doing for last couple of months for recovering my loss in my investment. I have invested in some altcoin in mid 2018 thinking that this is the support zone but fuck off, my investment decreases to 60% and later, I had no choice but to be a day trader to recover the loss. I have already recovered some of the losses.

I think we would you do to recover your losses is that this time the market is slow and the coin rates are very low but if we wait for the right time and invest in coins for get the profit in this work is the only way.

One way I have recovered some of my losses was going into trading, search for a good coin with potential and very undervalue because of the bearish market, but the coin at a good entry point wait for some percentage increase, then sell, continue the cycle.

Hold for long term is best thing to do for now, but we have to choose good coin that have strong fundamental,  like LTC,  EOS,  TRX,  XLM,  XRP,  BNB. in 1 years all these coin has potential  to raise more than 10x because the market cap still low and the price still undervalued. Second thing is keep patient waitimg for bull market is key to recover loss.

I'm getting around $100k lost but i never try to sell all of my portfolios. I have put fresh money to the btt and fet, I can get my money back at least a half from my total lost already recovered. And this time I'm doing trade to get more money to recover the rest of my lost.

I'm already in loss and I'm not going to add more loss and take that risk into that hype that can also push me downwards. I won't invest with any coins that I have and sell it just for that. But in good choice, if you can avail that with some spare cash you can do that.

See to it that you can avail that loss if ever something goes wrong again with that choice of investment you have. Much better to avoid losses in the future, why not just buy bitcoin and hold it and stop riding those coins that are being brought up by hype?
