Back then in early 2017 when I started crypto, there are so much money flying here and then. You see airdrops which is more popular then than now that bounty has taken over and ambassadors. The first experience I had was selling a coin that later went up to $35,000 for just $6. The news we had about the coin was that it's was going to dump after distribution, all we all, including myself sold it cheap. That would have been my major breakthrough in crypto. And the second time is when I was scammed of $200 coin on telegram. Though the money is small but it was the one that pained me most, cause I needed that money at that particular time. I need to sold one of my gadgets to sort myself. I have always said this that experience is the best teacher, it will teach you what can never be taught in the four walls of classrooms. Be it the elementary, high school, college and even the tertiary institutions.

I used to invest in projects without careful research, just listening to other people's opinions. But I couldn’t understand how to cover all projects because I wasn’t afraid of losing potential income. But then I read a book “The richest man in Babylon '' where it was said that gold abandons those who invest it in overwhelming undertakings and in something that they don’t understand. So this experience I consider to be the worst.

In the encryption world, it may be full of unlimited regrets.
I sold the second secondary coin, and the next second price will be twice. I will emotionally, I can't control my emotions.
Now I often miss some opportunities to invest in speculation coins. I would be so upset that I kept thinking about it, so much so that I would dream of similar things in my dreams at night.
In my dreams, I was looking at market trends. . .

Having my wallet ripped of about 2000$ in 2018 has been my worst experience in crypto. I was new to the game then with little knowledge on how it works. It all happened when I incautiously clicked a wrong MYETHERWALLET link. It was indeed a long story and a worst one and that made me stop crypto for 2 years.

My worst experience on crypto, back in the 2017 - 2018 where the market was bullish. I never sell all my cryptos when they were reach all time high because I thought that they will increase more but I'm planning to sell them once the price hit my desired price. Because of my greediness the market suddenly crashed and I still keep hold hoping to bounce back but nothings happen, the market still continue dumping then I decided to sell all my cryptos. I gained profit but unlike the days where I gained x10 so I regretted that I did not sell them at high price.

My Dream Comes True

This happens approximately with everyone. When I was new in crypto and didn't have any experience, I made many wrong decisions, and now I am regretting for those decisions. I got 5x profit from a coin but I didn't sell at that time and now I am at a big loss Grin. So I have learned a lot from my mistakes.
Actually this is not a mistake but like a disease that is experienced by almost all crypto players. Greed and lack of self-control to take profit in the right position. People who are technically good sometimes still get stuck with TA that they make themselves even though they already know which area to take profit but they still want gets more

I am someone who has avoided scams and ponzis in cryptocurrency sector for the most part. But even in my case, there were a few incidents which I wish could have handled in a better way. Back in 2014 I invested in a lot of altcoins (I was new to cryptocurrency, and similar to a lot of the inexperienced users, I poured in a lot of my hard earned money in to shitcoins). And in 2015, many of these altcoins were either dead or dormant. But at the same time, there was an opportunity to invest in ETH, and I decided to ignore it.

A very bad experience that made me a lifelong lesson in the crypto world was when my stupidity was the result of the Sitcamp coin bounty project, which I had participated in for a long time until I got the right to work from my own hard work, I was a holder in a market so suddenly suddenly my coin was lost without a trace so I made myself disappointed and sorry for my workA very bad experience that made me a lifelong lesson in the crypto world was when my stupidity was the result of the Sitcamp coin bounty project, which I had participated in for a long time until I got the right to work from my own hard work, I was a holder in a market so suddenly suddenly my coin was lost without a trace so I made myself disappointed and sorry for my work

My bad experience in this Cryptocurrency is losing assets in my personal wallet, it happened in early 2018.
Somehow the story suddenly all of my assets in the wallet disappeared, there was even one valuable coin from my old Bounty project  waiting for the coins to distributed. And when the coins are distributed all the coins are gone, it hurts so much.

Did you manage to get back though?

Here i am going to discussed worst cases. Because lot of people adopting to Crypto space and some getting more and some ended up with nothing.

back 2017 i have no experience and new so some execution not got timely.

My worst experience was Not exit at the correct time. there was a ICO it gave me 10X.  (6500USD) but i did not exit at the correct time so it went for 400usd.

I sent ETH to unknown escrow. 200$ lost. scammers

Not aware of USDT. Its a very bad experience.

Not concern about Technical analysis.

so today i have massive experience so i know how to play the game. Lets share experiences so enrich newbies knowledge.

Cheers

Without reading the entire thread I'm going to assume most people are going to answer in the form of some type of scam they got caught up with.  This field is riddled with scammers and if you've been here long enough you've encountered a ton.  Just dealing with these scammers has been the worst experience, probably the unsolicited spam messages not only here but every other platform as well.  Gets annoying..

my worst experience was buying the wrong token because the contract was different. so I want to buy DEFI tokens (BSC) and scamers have the exact same group as the original project group. even scamers are very smart to do that on the Dextool website. when the presale opened then I bought about 1.5 bnb. then I want to sell those tokens when they are listed on the initial exchange. but can't be sold because of different contract addresses. i realized that i got RUG and lost 1.5 bnb.

Back in 2017, there were a lot of scams, and the ICO craze became the biggest ponzi fraud since tulip fever. It's no different this year, with a slew of moon and dog coins launching that claim to make you money if you work together. I believe that most individuals never learn about crypto and think of it as a way to make quick money, instead relying on their luck, which I believe is completely incorrect and a fault in crypto investing.
I think those who are still here are people who are basically new to crypto and are just beginners who join the hype. not everyone who is here especially old people still see coins like that because indeed they have learned from mistakes a few years ago.
I myself am a fairly new person here and am still learning about everything in detail about something, but I know about 2017 where at that time almost 80% of iCOs were scams and this is certainly very detrimental and I always see from all parties about coins like this because this is just a coin that still prioritizes pump and dump which for me personally I will not enter into coins like this because I believe I will not benefit there

I bought 4 eth for $1,000, then sold it for about $1,800, and then it went up to about $5,000.
I don't think this is the worst thing because you still make a profit from your purchase and it's not that for a small amount $800 is a pretty hefty amount.
and this happens because you are too hasty in selling your assets so that you experience it.
but on the other hand it is an advantage that you should be grateful for and an experience so you don't rush into doing anything and I think you should be grateful for it not consider it a loss

I have also had a couple of bad experiences like yours in the past and they have really thought me what or not to do going forward in my crypto quest  Grin Once I was involved in a bounty that did so well and I had more than a $1000 from it but before the price went that high I staked the coins for a period of time and it was within that period that the price went up and I couldn't unstake to sell and the price fall afterward to below $10, I hated myself for that.
