Facebook is one of the best social media used by almost all users but it is not the only platform for advertising, so a ban on this wont have strong effect on ICO projects as still there are lot to promote like twitter, instagram, telegram, by any one means people will be aware of ICOs.

What effect do you think this will have on ICOs and future  of cryptocurrencies?
The effect has been effective immediately and I have a feeling that this is related to the plummeting of bitcoin. Adding to the impact of the slow down for its increase that resulted to a big crisis while there's a big crash that's happening. This can be experienced for now but as others said that its only a very minimal effect as cryptocurrencies are growing, people are becoming aware of it and they are starting to have an idea that they can have a good return with ICO's so they will keep on finding out the best place to advertise and investors will just use search engines for these projects to chase them.
There is a big difference between investing in Bitcoin and investing in ICOs, so whatever happens to ICOs has nothing to do with the price rate for Bitcoin. And I believe that the reason Facebook banned ICOs is because there are lots of fake ones, so they won’t like to see their platform being used to promote scam and the rest of them. It’s likely that people has been reporting such advertisements on Facebook, especially those that hates Facebook.

And maybe it's because of the amount of fraud (scams) or uncertainty about the advertisements that's related to the crypto.
By the way.. it's just on facebook, there are still many other social medias that can be used for advertising about cryptos / ICOs.
I think this only gives a temporary negatively effect only.

Facebook ban ICO and bitcoin ads to avoid or to reduce the deceptive information or scams.

This kind of banned could really affect in case of contacting people by each other but there are some other schemes to communicate y Telegram or Twitter.

Facebook have it new policy pertaining to initial coins offerings 'ICOs' . The policy specifically prohibits ads that promote ICO on it platform.
The banned is due to the fact there are so many companies who are advertising ICOs that are not currently operating in good standards and faith.
In the meantime, Facebook is encouraging people to report content that violates this new policy.

Facebook's involvement with ICOs is a ban on advertising. Because there are so many ICO scam models advertising on Facebook that lead people to cheat and lose all their investment in ICOs. It does not affect Facebook bounty campaigns at all because it is not a form of advertising on Facebook.

Facebook, as a place where there are any and all people wasn't the best place to advertise ICOs anyway, so this won't influence crowdfunding process much. Apart from the specialized forums, like Bitcointalk, there are still Reddit and Quora Smiley
It really would not have much influence on ICOs. Google ads are still often used for ICOs, twitter at least for now still available and some other various options as well. A lot of real investors are even hardly found on Facebook anyway. Most of them make use of some ICO listing webs, or twitter to get ICOs they can partake in. So at the end, Facebookwill just have a very minute impact that won't be felt at all.

Firstly, Facebook is not the only platform that adverts are done, and even though automatically Instagram is affected, I really do not see how this can have a huge effect on ICOs. Twitter is still there, articles are written to promote ICOs, the forum is also there as well and there are some websites that ICOs are promoted as well. At the end of it all, ICO's progress is not tied to Facebook’s advert.

in my opinion it would be better for ICO`s as they would have to make more stable marketing strategies and attract real investors on the other hand I think that this will promote the growth of blockchain based social media platforms like Steem.

Already everyone got know about bitcoin and ICO investment. I do not think that it will affect the crypto market. Moreover i think it is a positive information according to my view. After they banned you may find the investor look to promote in the forum and twitter alone.
People does not understand what will after one move corporate only feel bad. Investors holding for long time does not care at all.

While Facebook drew a lot of attention and traffic for ICOs, this move essentially means one less social media for exposure of their project. This isn't exactly the end of the line since there are lot of other platforms which can be made use of for advertising their project and attracting investors.

I agree. Moreover, I don't think there is a fallout on Facebook's move.
If you'll just noticed the past ICO advertisements , there isn't much traction & interest when compared to other social media giants like Twitter (which have a lot of discussions/comments taking in on the project).

This move was done to prevent scam ICO projects getting away with investors' money since Facebook was a platform used for advertising and keeping in touch with investors. Inevitably, they ended up banning all ICO related ads which was the right move since encouraging ads might which turn out to be scams would be a wrongdoing on their part, allowing FB users to interact and invest in potentially bogus projects.

Facebook is considered as first social media platform right now, its having the most active and biggest community. Its decision of banning the ICO ads will affect the ICO projects surely, but luckily the crypto community is more active in Twitter and Telegram, so it is not a great lose for the devs in my opinion.

I don't know why, but my Facebook news feed are still full of ICO advertisements. Looks that this ban isn't effective so far.
It's hard to tell how ban of ICO advertisement will affect crypto industry. I don't know how much money Facebook are getting from all these ICO advertisers, but I suppose that FB wouldn't cut off branch that they are sitting on. Yes, there are other social networks like Twitter, Instagram and others, but they are less popular and it's proably more difficult to find targeted audience for advertisers. So, I think that ban of ICO advertisements will have more or less meaningful impact.
But I imagine what would happend if Google will decide ban advertisements of ICO's, cryptocurrencies on Adwords. It's probably the most effective and most used method to reach potential investors. And there aren't good alternatives for it.

i cant see anything that affect a huge scar on bitcoin industry since there are lot of platform to showcase that ICO therefore the ICO will find a new way to reach people thru social media , twitter are still existing and also youtube are there  but has not used by many so they can used youtube as an alternative to facebook..

most of my friends on facebook doesnt even know what ICO's stand for. and most of them thinks bitcoin and crypto in general is nothing but a scam. i'd have to join facebook groups to get the attention and information that i need.. so facebook banning ico may not be a good news but i doubt that it will have significant effect at all. plus.we can always use alternatives like twitter, youtube, telegram and discord along with any other blogsites out there.

That is true but international corporates and banking system does not want bitcoin to be known to all the people that is the effect Government regulating cryptocurrencies and bans for advertising bitcoin and ICO on Facebook
If we all fuck out the illuminaties from the crypto currency side. We will find the bitcoin and all the cryptos good in the market. Since media telecasting does not know about bitcoin. They are trolling out BTC.
This is why media taking advantage on fucking out peoples mind who don't have any idea on whats crypto and when heard and putted in their minds once they do encounter crypto related things they would consider it as a scam. They do ban one of the mediums on where advertising is really a good place since fb do have a high traffic and most people of the world make use of it.

Actually if your friends in facebook are not real friends i think even you promote or post some topics about crypto i think no one will believe in you but if you know all your friends in facebook that's good to use,me as a user of social site like twitter and facebook i already have 700+ friends in fb but the real friends only there are 200+ and in twitter i think even i have 3000k followers i have only 100+ real friends so it's nothing even you have a lot of friends in social site because they will not believe in you and i don't use that to earn here that's a lie for me.
