Same. I am a gamer from my past and actually I still play some but not a lot like from the past. Now it is all the "want to make money online" thing that is happening in my mind. I think being exposed to bitcoin made me realize that time is really precious.

Yes I too guess it is a kind of confusing how the people claims that the government knows that the citizens are making use of bitcoin, and try to prevent them from the use of it. But, from what I think, it might be that they check those bitcoin sites, and any of them that is accepting their country, they will immediately warn them to stop accepting the “so” country. Because I don’t see how else they will know.

The fact that it is still relatively unknown in many parts of the world adds to the reason why bitcoin has not made it to the mainstream consciousness of most ordinary people. If in a few years time, it is introduced to more people, then they will have an alternative to what they are currently using to pay traditionally.

Yes, lack of information is the most common problem of people not using the Bitcoins. Once people are aware of the bitcoins and its benefits associated with it, they will leave all other currency and use only this where available.

Definitely some ways have to be found to aware people about bitcoin, educate people that it is a good method to earn money, one can gain knowledge with it everything should be known to people. If it happens we can expect good adaptation.

People don't use bit coins because most of them don' t know exactly what it is or the value of it
maybe they don't even know how to use it. I think people are afraid to use it because they don't know much
about it and you need to buy it with money, and money is there everything.
Why pay with bit coins if you can pay with cash and have more warranty.

Someone scared about scammers anyway and or they just don't like bitcoin cause it's illegal on theirs country a lot of different factors that stopping people using bitcoin.

Yeah only countable number of users stay out fearing of scammers. Most people just fear of the assurance, there is no guaranteed return as the user can't question anyone.

google is a good teacher nowadays, I am using google for all of my knowledge to receive, and according to you this forum has also a good knowledge about bitcoin, but in the start I was not aware about this forum that it has that much knowledge and I started to search all about bitcoin on google and in the articles I tried to search for all the new coming terms, and learned a lot.
try to search on everywhere on this forum and try to read every topic on this forum carefully, so I think you will learn a lot about bitcoin as a large treasure of knowledge about bitcoin is available on this forum, but still it will take about a few days, I will like to know from the "superways" that from where he learned all about bitcoin in a few hours, that will be really a good source of knowledge about bitcoin.

i think that the main thing that is stopping them is the possibility to lose all the money they have because of big price fluctuations, though thats just my opinion to be honest and i dont know it for sure

No Government can have a control over bitcoin, if people loves it they will continue to use and no one can stop them, not even the Governments.

I don't think that the Criminal aspect has anything to do with Bitcoin not being widely used.

It really boils down to 3 things

1) Most people still aren't really aware of it because...
2) It's still not widely adopted by retailers and...
3) It still can't compete with the speed and ease of use of a contactless debit card.

Simple example. I go do my weekly grocery shopping, at the checkout, go to pay, I insert my debit card in slot, 2 seconds later asks for pin, punch that in, another 2 seconds at the very most, pin confirmed transaction sent, pull card out, thats it, boom, done, so easy. The only thing the consumer has to remember is a 4 digit number, and its the same number each time, no faffing around with Bitcoin addresses having to type in the amount of money to send etc.

Or if its a small purchase, or using public transport like London Underground, contactless, wave the card, boom, done, practically instant.

I was a really strong supporter of Bitcoin to begin with, and still think Crypto currency has a lot of benefits, but it just can't compete with ease of use with the present day Debit Card for normal every day transactions, at least not yet.
