The rules and requirements of every country is different, so are the needs..

The needs are the same. However, the magnitude can vary. For example, if you are living in a country such as Japan or Singapore, then I would recommend against applying for a gun license. Because the crime rate is so low, and you don't need to waste your time and effort in getting a gun. On the other hand, if you are living in Cape Town or Nairobi, then gun ownership is a must.

Unequivocally, the more weapons in open access, the more violence. How many stories about teenagers who took revenge on classmates and teachers. Especially after the popularization of relevant computer games.

I believe selling of gun should be banned, if not it has to be strictly regulated. So that terrorist and anti-social elements can not get hold of it easily.

gun control should be limited only to law enforcement, because the control of the gun must be more disciplined and tight. We can not tolerate negligence in the use of weapons, therefore it should only be used for law enforcement.
therefore law enforcement officers must work even harder in supervising smuggling of weapons and banning the use of inviduals. Cool

Guns are dangerous, and are tools to kill.
It has it positives but would go more with the negatives,
I hate them in every way, they are used to rob, hi jack, and rape
People in my country, I know of a few cases where friends were armed
But could do nothing when they were robbed, the criminals have
the element of surprise, and another legal firearm found its way to the
Wrong hands.
I am for strong gun control and they should only be in the hands of the police
And army.
It will make the streets a lot safer back home.

On Black Friday alone, Americans bought enough to equip the entire USMC.

Guns really are a key part of the fabric of American life. They're so much a part of it that on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year when people mob stores for the best deals on televisions and other consumer electronics, Americans bought enough guns to equip the United States Marine Corps.

Ain't it great to be an American?

According to the FBI, over 200,000 background check requests associated with the purchase of a firearm were submitted to the agency on Black Friday, marking a new single-day record. The previous record was set on the day after Thanksgiving in 2016. In both 2017 and 2016, enough guns were potentially purchased on Black Friday to arm every active duty Marine.

USA Today reported that, in total, the FBI states they fielded 203,086 requests during the 24-hour period associated with Black Friday, decimating the previous 2016 record of 185,713.

The background checks are required for firearms purchases from federally licensed dealers, so the number does not necessarily reflect the actual number of sales that took place.

In some cases, a single background check could be associated with more than one gun purchase if a shopper decided to buy more than one during a single trip. Additionally, not all who apply are ultimately approved, so some applications would not result in a purchase.

It's also worth noting that 20 states have provisions where a background check isn't necessary with a valid concealed carry permit. This is guidelines from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives who note that permit holders have already undergone an extensive background check and lose their permits if they become ineligible to buy guns.

Guns are made for one purpose, and that purpose is to kill.
I believe that guns are not weapons, they are tools. How they are used is up to the person holding it.
Guns are especially dangerous in the hands of people who don't know how to use them (i.e., kids and teenagers) as well as those who are mentally ill and/or have a temper problem.
Gun control will not stop violence because a violent person doesn’t need a gun to be violent.
After the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, support for gun control increased dramatically.

Generally in America, the support for gun control has outweighed the support for gun rights.
Are gun control laws constitutional?
What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

I agree to your statement that guns are made to kill. Made to kill living things and destroy non living things. Guns should be use with proper precautions especially if you have kids or teenagers. At home, parents who have gun/s should keep it in the right place where children can't access. However, in terms of our community awareness on gun control, it depends on every country. There are countries in which guns are overused and underused.

If there were no guns, the 250 pound bully could easily overpower a 90 pound granny. If they both have guns, Granny has a chance.

The solution to be offered is live monitoring of individuals.  Probably through brain implants.  If 'the system' detects a bullying event, it can be stopped in real time.  Same with all manner of crime.  Especially thought crime.

Even though the 'consensus view' will be that the benefits of such a solution outweigh the dangers, it still might be difficult to get certain greedy and self-centered  conspiracy theorist people to show up at the clinic for their 'safe and effective' implant.  Even when laws are in place to forced vaccinate for the public good, there still might be some people who will break the law and thus 'put the community at risk'.  Fortunately, one of the most promising technologies seems to be 'neural lace'.  With nano-technology, a lace could be seeded and grown without anyone needing to do anything.

What an absurd idea. There are so many things that could go wrong with this.

You are just being a conspiracy theorist (which implies also a racist, a nazi, and spawn of the devil.)  Of course all of the potential down-sides of the technology will be thought of and nullified.  You are putting so many good people and good families at risk with your negative ways.  Shame on you.  If you are detected to be without without your implant (and vaccinations), you can easily be 'corrected' for your own good and the good of the community.  Then society can enjoy a safe life and live in peace.  Forever!

Guns are needed to protect from guns, why not eliminate guns in the first place? We don't have to hunt animals with guns anymore. We only need to hunt oil with guns...right america? hehe

Good idea in some ways. But...

Because some people don't think like this, they will always make new guns, even if all the present guns were destroyed.

Bad idea because...

People like to feel superior ovewr others. Weapons help them do so. So, no. I don't like the idea of individuals carrying a handgun out in public

It is nice to have a gun just for self defense only , but if having a gun for killing people that is not allowed anymore. People who have a gun is like a vigilant and for himself he is untouchable. Gun users should have a liscense of their guns to make sure that their guns is legal to hold.

If someone attacks you, and you shoot him in self-defense, make sure you kill him. Why? Because if you don't kill him, he just might testify in court with the lie that you started it. You might lose, and be sent to prison for a very long time.

Cool
That is so true, i think i recently read a newspaper article about the exact thing where a robber stormed into someone house and when he was shot he sued the person who shot him and even managed to get a settlement out of it which was very absurd.

I think that storing weapons in a residential building should be prohibited, because everyone can accidentally break, and then it will be difficult to change the consequences
In my opinion the gun sellers are the ones who should be very vigilant when they are selling guns to people, just because people are buying guns shouldn't mean you should care less about what the person uses the guns for.

Regulation of firearms and weapons should be regulated properly. These things are capable of hurting people or even be used to harm and destroy or end someone's life. Only people with authority should have acvess to them to avoid irreversible damages.
