Goodbye, Z.
I'm mostly kidding. However, I am referring to those newbie posts that are so bad that they get 0 replies and are deleted by a moderator within a few minutes (unless they are all asleep). I don't even know why people bother making such posts. Some of them are just random words put together and have zero meaning. If you just report these posts you are literally guaranteed a 100% accuracy rate.
They even get deleted when all mods are asleep.
As long as Mitchell is running the bot checking all newbie posts, those are usually being deleted faster than you can report them.

I swear that those crap bot-generated posts that appear every 5 minutes in Bitcoin Discussion are generated by someone who wants to improve their Report to Moderator %.

No, I don't think. I suppose that there are a lot of users opening those 'crap' threads for the only purpose to reply with their main/alt forum accounts and be paid by the various signature campaigns. Improve your report to moderator % doesn't give you any benefit.

Thanks to everyone who reports!

Is always a pleasure to keep "clean" this forum, our forum. I really encourage people to understand that ALL of us are moderators, help this forum by using the Report to moderator button, is like help ourselves.

Keep up the good job guys!

You have reported 199 posts with 100% accuracy

Looking at your 20+ posts today, which include several pointless new threads,
do you report yourself to achieve such accuracy?

Not as bad as hermahns09 though, over 200 shit posts today.

Has anyone reported this?

There is currently no option to report several posts at once either.

Good luck pushing the report button 200 times, but it will get someones stats up!

By the way it will be a long way for Lutpin or anyone else to overtake you!
Is that a challenge? Grin

Definitely not for me! Haha. But I'd be glad if you surpass him on the next updated list Smiley
That challenge would only help the forum.

@thermos:
It would be nice getting a regular (e.g. monthly) dump of the top 50 (or even 100) reporters.
Might also be an incentive for some of the less-active reporters to step up their game.

Thanks for your reply shorena.

Is this report button also for off topic and zero or low value posts? (if so, why does it not say)
Yes, but sometimes the bigger picture needs to be painted. In this case a PM to a global mod or admin might be better.

That is why I didn't use the report button in this instance. I thought there was a bigger picture to paint.
I've never reported before. I'm new to all this.
Seems like very hard work to get a moderator to respond to this issue.

I would like to know, does my thread highlight reportable posts or not, in the opinion of proven accurate reporters?
Looks like you have answers to that in your thread already. What is constructive and what is spam are tricky questions that may not always have an easy answer.

I am struggling to see how any of the posts I questioned are constructive, in any way.
(but then that is why I have reported it)

The only answer I seem to have had is to pm a global mod, which I shall do shortly.
Seems a bit strange now though. Obviously my thread is being ignored by these moderators.
(clearly, global mods have seen my thread, but chosen not to responded in any way)

And I thought my 97% was good, don't have anywhere near as many as those listed though.

Whoo hoo! I made the list!  Thanks for the kind words Theymos; it's nice to know our efforts are appreciated.
I'm pretty sure I'd be over 1000 by now if Cyrus was a little slower on the delete button Wink
Thanks for the reports, they're spot on!

how can we see this report to moderator rate? or where?
At the end of each post, there is the "report to moderator" button on right hand bottom corner, click on it and on new page you will see your accuracy and number of reported posts.

No I dont escrow anymore.
-snip-
Lets assume 97.0000% of these are correct, thats 1843 correct and 57 not. In order to reach 97.5% (I assume thats when 98% will be shown) he would have to make 2223 total correct reports vs 57 bad. Thats 380 good reports without fail.

Accuracy is always rounded down IIRC, so it'll take even longer.

People shouldn't worry about accuracy much, and certainly not single percentage points.

Had that in mind as well.

The report to moderator button, when activated, says,
"Use this function to inform the moderators and administrators of an abusive or wrongly posted message."

Is "abuse" reportable?

Depends on your definiton of abuse. Anything that is against forum rules.

Is this report button also for off topic and zero or low value posts? (if so, why does it not say)

Yes, but sometimes the bigger picture needs to be painted. In this case a PM to a global mod or admin might be better.

What sort of posts are people reporting?

The majority of my reports are threads in wrong sections. Which makes the "Im no snitch" comment hilarious.

I have never reported, but have just started a thread.
