to be able to catch up bitcoin ,is less likely but what I see now is that the price of ethereum has started to rise from before even though there is a slight decrease, expect ethereum to go up again and be at the highest price
Ethereum is the only project that I see continue to rise sometime even when bitcoin is declining, this shows that ethereum really has a very good working products, but despite this, ETH can still not meet with BTC. Even those projects that are built on ethereum smart contract only follows bitcoin in its increase, I have never seen  any of them follow ethereum bull run, mostly they all depend on bitcoin bull including the shitcoins.

It shows that a king will always be a king even if we really don’t know why bitcoin increase affects other altcoins increase, because my believe initially is that they have their own different function and product they present to the world is what should make their value appreciate.

I don't know about ETH really, or for that fact any other crypto, for the next 20 years there will be nothing to challenge the status of Bitcoin as the gold standard of crypto. And Litecoin as much as I like the coin and project, it specifically marketed itself in the past as a silver standard, next to Bitcoin. So in terms of price it will never catch up, but in tech? Litecoin got segwit first remember?
Well, I don't know too much about altcoin but I can see that technology of bitcoin is really outdated when compared to altcoin that appears after bitcoin because many experts have shown it clearly through the charts of the features and effectiveness of these technologies compared to bitcoin. However, although technology has shown too many weaknesse but in terms of value, altcoin remains forever incomparable to bitcoin when bitcoin's lead is absolute and perfect, no one can catch up to bitcoin in this regard when capitalization and market support for it are overwhelming.

But what do you mean by outdated technology? Old doesn't mean outdated. People usually refer to transaction per second, that Bitcoin only has 7 max or something like that, and others have 100s per second. So that's faster, right? But no, wrong. Ask most merchants and they will say they only need 1 confirmation (or even 0 in many cases) for deposits to appear. But for alts? There is no such thing as 0 confirmation, they will wait for 10 or more if you're lucky.

And tech? Bitcoin got Segwit long before most alts did. Just to give 1 example.

he doesn't mean anything by it. he is just a parrot repeating the propaganda that was started in 2017 to pump coins like ETH. the funny thing is that people who are repeating the same thing don't even understand how much of ethereum is copied from bitcoin. in fact the differences are minimal and in places that aren't related to the "technology" which is the funny part of their statement. if they said something like DAG coins is the advanced technology compared to bitcoin, it would have made more sense although was still wrong.

we don't need to hurry for them to immediately catch up to bitcoin because ethereum and litecoin are slowly chasing him so be patient
Yeah boi . These alts are indeed catching btc but in a slow steady manner  . Altcoins are always known to be stable and slow moving even before even bitcoin pumps unexpectedly  . This why alts are known to be a coin for those long term investors   . Alts such as eth and ltc are not for impatient people   but there are still alts that are fast moving  , bitcoincash for example   .

@op its now happening actually . Take a look at the value of eth .  The value grow about 100 usd plus .  But i havent check the value of ltc yet .

Too far to pursue Bitcoin. This is not an easy job for Ethereum and Litecoin to outperform Bitcoin. Bitcoin Price is always moving up, while both coins look very slow. But with the rising price of Ethereum certainly also gives a very positive impact.

Yes, we should be very happy because already both the ETH and Litecoin prices already increased in the market but to catch up Bitcoin it will take time because the supply of these two coins have high compared to Bitcoin, in the coming month we might see some major movements in the market.

In my opinion all of this is in order, a few weeks ago the price of bitcoin has risen, maybe the next few weeks the price of ETH and Litecoin will also rise following the movement of bitcoin

i will say it is not a easy way for LTC or even ETH to catchup with BTC because it is the only crypto that unique and has more trust from investors than any other altcoins,  so that they rather choose to invest in BTC for long term profit than just waiting for ETH or LTC to catchup with BTC because it will take us a very long time.
People always hyping bitcoin price too, in my opinion it's hard for ethereum and litecoin to catch up to bitcoin (in the price). They are good on their own though.

Even without that, ethereum and litecoin still doing good and i think these 2 coins have a big potential.

I'm consistently putting small amounts into ETH and LTC as a kind of emergency fund that likes to grow.  When, exactly, do you guys think that the recent surge in BTC will result in a "catch up" surge in ETH and LTC?
I don't really think that's going to happen in a long while, bitcoin still remains the most valuable cryptocurrency in the crypto space, not just in the sense of price but what it has to offer to the crypto community. I see lots of merchants that buys large quantity of bitcoin and sell to people who make use of them, we even have those that have used crypto as a store of value for their future in order to make a lot of money once the price of crypto begins to moon.

very difficult even almost impossible if you compare ethereum and litecoin can pass bitcoin, ethereum and litcoin are not a bitcoin comparison just look at the total supply of these three coins, I think you're joking when asking when ethereum and bitcoin will cost like bitcoin.

Yes, that is true. I think it's not good to compare between bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin and it is very difficult to catch up to bitcoin because bitcoin price is at the very high for ethereum and litecoin. Maybe ethereum and litecoin can increase higher, but the price won't pass the bitcoin price, so it is not an easy job for ethereum and litecoin. Let bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin has its own price so we can take a profit from each coin.

What I see on this is about the fundamental analysis of particular coins like ethereum and litecoin, just like the ethereum  which the upcoming updates will be the proof of stake and the Litecoin will the wimblemimble protocol which I heared that Litecoin will do something about that.

It is generally belief that history often repeat itself but with a little difference.
The upward increase in the price of btc shall have positive corresponding movement in both ETH and ltc however this effect shall be stronger in ETH compare to ltc.

In my opinion the litecoin and Ethereum will never reach the bitcoin value, don't get me wrong but i think bitcoin will always value more than other coins and Litecoin and Ethereum can grow and reach a new ATH.
they will reach their own ATH. to achieve the value of bitcoin indeed I think it will be very difficult for all assets not only etheruem and litecoin. it is even impossible to achieve by other assets, because bitcoin remains the best now.

A simple way to trade if you don't like putting money in Tether or other stablecoins, and don't have time to follow the intricacies of each coin's development, is just move money back and forth between BTC and alts depending on relative strength. So at the start of a bullrun this means move to BTC, and then when BTC growth starts to slow, then move to alts... and then back to BTC for relative safety if the market starts to turn slightly bearish.

This is a response to Bitcoin's price increase. So that LTC and ETH are able to advance up for pumping. To chase and then outperform Bitcoin, I suppose it will not happen. But the impact of Bitcoin price increase is certainly very remarkable as all the coins are able to pump. This price increase will continue to happen considering that in the year 2017 the price is able to pump very high.
