EndChain - Complete Logistical Solution
when the altcoin price I hold increases more than 50% of the price when I buy it, it's a great time to sell the altcoin I hold.

I think following a stable strategy wouldn't be useful to make a choice about the selling time. In my opinion, following the current price and trying to make new predictions about the new record prices according to old prices would be useful to choose a good time to sell altcoins. On the other hand, you should be very lucky to sell at the best time.

You want a salary i think, by reading what you are saying. You want every month profit about 15k $, that is possible, if you are genius and have 100% luck. There is no right time to cash out, everyone search for it, hope for it, but there isn't. Read news about that you put your money in, make your own percentage, like 30% above your investment if they grow and you don't believe in them, pull off and invest in something new. Everything is beliefs and hopes, charts, but you need to make your own.

Hope it's helpful, I think on this kind of actions you have to be as rational as possible and avoid all the emotional feelings.
Ask yourself the questions: how much risk am i ready to take and how much gain would be worth the effort.

I'm not greedy. For myself, I decided to fix profits when the coin grows 3-5 times. Then I sell 50% of this coin and buy other coins.
The other 50% is my long-term investment.

Thats a good question. I hold many coins, and the most of them i should sell some weeks ago when it was on the alltime high. But i was to greedy. So i thougt the whole time maybe it will go uo higher, ANd now im waiting that the coins will hit the some high again. So after those experience, i ask myself the same question. ANd i dont have a answer. Because you never know. So my new strategie is to sell my coins when i make a good profit and im satisfied. Its very hard to hit the alltimehigh.

At the moment I would just hold my altcoins. By the end of this year, i think they will be rising up quite substantially.

Usually I set a level of profit I wanna get from my investment beforehand, so I just set a sell order right after I buy a coin. Then I set alarm in Blockfolio to know when the price reaches the needed threshold.

It is impossible to say exactly when to sell coins. You must be able to feel and analyze the market. And you must have the ability to make decisions. Sometimes these decisions lead to losses, and sometimes to profit.

Magic is real
I do not know. Everyone decides when to sell. A friend of mine does not sell anything at all. Sometimes he sells a coin in which he is disappointed, but immediately buys another. For Fiat, he sells nothing. This is his decision. I occasionally sell part of the coins (not all) if there is a good profit and I need a couple of Ether to participate in ICO.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
Absolutely wrong reasoning (what I marked out in red). A fixed profit is good in any case, and thoughts about how much you could earn if you do not sell the asset (or buy some other for example) is just a fantasy.

Well if I really need it then I'll sell it. But usually once the price at least doubled then it something for me to consider selling. But If I really believe that the coins will have a high value in a long run, then I'll hold it for quite sometime.

I'm counting on not selling my coins for a long time. I am waiting for the time when they will be legalized in all major countries. Then their price will increase very much and you can think about selling. But so far it is early.

Piece of advice:

1. Analyze - study carefully where you will invest your money, make sure that the team is legitimate, the platform would be in demand and should have a niche market to ensure profit.

2. Create a plan - build a strategy that will serve you as a guide, if the plan executes perfectly then do it again and if there is something else that could make it better than do it.

3. Stick to it - always have faith in yourself, no one will do it except you, if you fail then start again. It really requires much time and effort to do trading, just be patient, Im sure it will be paid off.

As an amateur day trader I tend to sell my Altcoins when I think that I already earned profit because the formula of trading is Buy Low, Hold and Sell High and always be the same formula even in local trading as well.
There are a lot of things to be considered before selling your Crypto Assets but the most valid reason is when you do earn high enough profit then it's the best time to dump and turn them into money and enjoy your profits.
Cryptocurrency is the best thing happened in my Life since last year.

You need to have atleast basic technical analysis to be able to know when would be the perfect time for entry or exit in each coin in the market, and you need to know fundamentals are more dominant than technical analysis in cryptocurrency market.
There is no right time for either buying or selling of any of your crypto coin. It is you who has to analyze the situation of the market at that very moment so that you can have a better idea of what to do. The best time for selling of any of your coin is that time when the market value of that particular coin tends to increase and increase to that value which brings your desired amount of profit for you.

I think I will cah out when I have enough money to buy the thing I plan to buy in the near future.

I think if his IOTA is increased, he can sell it all of IOTA or only sell to get his money back and this is what I do so far. I won't take a risk by not selling the coins while the price increase because after the increasing of the price, the price will be down and sometimes the down will be too far. I have a bad experience with this and now, I am trying to sell if the price increases more than 100% because the chance is only for one time and if we want to wait then we need to wait at least 2-3 months again before the price increase back.
