Try to sell with your limit percentage go to it consistently do not assume higher and try to research more about future project of you holdings coin,it necessary to find out if you gonna be have profit so be strictly mind thinker, as i am if i have 15-20 percent gain i'll sell it and try to buy when the price down and also try to another token.

the same problem for old alt token holders ..I myself have more than a hundred alt tokens in my wallet, and until now there have been no tokens that have a good price, especially the worst thing for the team one of the tokens is inactive and there has been no progress ..
there is no other choice but to wait until price get really high. because for now the transaction fee are very high and if you want to sell your altcoins at a low price you will only be lost by transaction fee.
If the altcoin you hold has a bad team and exit their project, just let it be useless shitcoin.
so, best option is to be patient and wait until the time comes

Whats your target when you buy the coins?
If you trust enough to the project but want to take profit, sell some percent of the coins while you still hold some of them, but if you want only the profit just take it all when you feel enough.

The right time to sell altcoins, of course, varies depending on the potential of these altcoins, but advice is not to be too greedy in holding altcoins, or you will regret it, don't expect more than what you have got, if the altcoin has got a profit above 20 % -50% of your purchase price, then you can sell it

When should long-held alt coins be sold? When to sell even when we are in profit? That doesn't make sense. Let me know if there is a suitable alternative to this issue.
if my strategy is to sell when getting a profit of at least 15% that is a safe point, because with a profit of 15% it is good for profit and that can be used as the main benchmark. but all of that is the choice of what percentage of you to sell you can set yourself

Holding longterm altcoins is a better strategy than short term because it can be said that the profit in longterm is greater especially if the altcoins you hold are longterm investment and you do not have to panic in case the price falls a bit but if you are one short term trader is the best strategy because many people say that traders' daily earning profit is big but the decision is early, it is better to explore first and ask experts about such things.

Really depends on the altcoin though. You can say this for Litecoin, Monero, (ETH is almost becoming a monster of its own so might no longer even be an altcoin in the near future).

But most defi/ico coins, like it or not, are really just short term gainers in the end.

However it depends on the altcoins because for me not all altcoins are good in the long run,
we have to be able to determine whether the altcoin we want to invest in is suitable for the long term or not,
because if we make the wrong decision, of course we can lose,
and to hold back in the long run also requires more patience. It is not easy for sure

I think it's fully depends on you. If you are a holder and you are in 4-5x profit thats a good profit. But if you think that coin have more potential you could hold it further. But when ever you sell a coin don't sell it fully. Every time I'm in profit I sell 30-59% of that coin. And invest in other potential projects. And the rest i just hold wherever it goes low or high.

You by yourself must decide when to sell your altcoins, for example, I sell my altcoins when the price at least doubled, but usually I wait for the price to rise at least in 5 times minimum, of course this does not always happen, but it happens very often, of course you should always choose the right altcoins for investments in order to get an excellent profit later, so each person decides by himself when to sell his altcoins, since someone sells his altcoins earlier with the lowest profit, and someone later with the greatest profit.

I agree we have many new investors running to crypto for the FOMO and excitement of riches.  These people are not seasoned to the emotions.  Studying the charts are completely useless if you invest based on emotion.  I sold 30% of my ETH at $1590.  I have to accept that 30% of my portfolio missed out on the pump higher.  At these highs when the market goes south it will with a vengeance.  In a bull market, there are a few investment strategies you can use right now.  You can either dollar cost average or you can lump sum.  In a bull market lump sum is probably the best thing to do.  Buy and let it ride on the pump.  In a bear market dollar cost average is probably better because you will get a cheap price over time.  Remember no one ever got hurt from taking a profit.  I don't do trading so I'm not the person for that.  If you are a US Citizen I recommend you try to hold at least a year.  it will save you a lot on taxes.

If the value of the alternative cryptocurrency suits the holder, he can sell or buy the altcoin at any convenient time. It all depends on what the investor wants. The altcoin rate is constantly changing, so you first need to study the market situation, and then make a decision on the relevance of buying or selling.
the problem is that many new investors are attracted to crypto when the market is in a bull-like it is now. even those who do not have investment and trading skills have an interest in a profit. and it won't give them anything if they don't want to study the market first.

When hold long term coins, first thing is to define your goals of to hold for 1 year or 2. Profits are not just the only factor determining why we hold a good coin. Moreover, the profit you make from a coin for holding for 2 years or less will be greater than the one you see holding firm just few months. My opinion is that you define your minimum and maximum hold limits when holding these coins

On the first stage of development of project it is hard to understand its prospectives because founders cannot finish the projects.
I think that it is very important to check what have already been done and how useful will be project in future.
There are ecological projects that help to protect nature from CO2 pollution https://moss.earth/blog/
MOSS is working project and it has done a lot to compensate CO2 emission and to protect Amazon forests.

I checked the price of MCO2 token. It is growing. More and more people buy MCO2 token because they understand how it is important to protect the nature from CO2 emission.

It's all related to the type of project, when you become aware of it and when they start getting the first tangible results. It is not the same for all cryptocurrencies, some have great publicity and therefore rise in value first. On average, the results are achieved in 2-3 years, at least for the cryptocurrencies in which I invested

It seems you have to be patient until there is a token that has a good price,
I think it's just a matter of time so it's possible to stay patient and follow market developments and movements,
maybe that way you will not lose the moment

Why should you ask about when to sell. when you start investing it should be clear when to sell at what price. because if you buy altcoins of course it will be a mistake. you have no guide to be profitable. better learn more clearly about the investment in cryptocurrency. that way you can get many suitable preferences for you to invest in. without knowledge you will get a loss
Thats right, if we invest in crypto its a must to have a concrete plan on when are we going to sell, at what price and for how long. There are coins that it takes months or years before we can see a changes in prices while other coins are frequently moving which is good for daily trade.

Thus its important to know your position and goal because its better to have a plan and strategy to follow. Hence you wont get confuse about when to sell since you already know when is the perfect time to do it.

Before I bought an altcoin I had done the analysis first and I did the main thing. after that we make a technical chart to be able to determine buy and sell positions. This will give you confidence when there is a decline because with the basic technique you have, of course it will give you confidence when holding. regarding the target when to sell technically we can also do. what is clear is not to buy altcoins without your knowledge

There are so many strategies and just pick something that feels good for you and, most importantly, stick to it. When in profit take your initial investment out in USDT, ETH or BTC and let a part in the alt you invested in. As long as you do take profits and not getting greedy. Don’t chase green candles, but be patient and don’t get affected by other people taking profits. Always look at yourself.
