I think that few years not more, due that huge part of ICO were not successful for investors. Also it depends from the position of regulators, if actual practice of SEC will be applied in most jurisdictions it will be the end of ICOs.

Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?
Now ICO is not regulated in any way. If the authorities of the countries want to ban the ICO, they will begin to take measures that will prohibit carrying out ICO in the territory of their country. In the meantime, this did not happen, then use this and multiply your investments.

This shows that the market is becoming more strict and demanding competition. This is a good sign for us to invest right now, good projects will be launched and unqualified projects will be removed from the market.

Maybe in 5 years. Not in these 2 years, come on guys.
Most likely, they will not disappear, but will simply be slightly changed in accordance with the rules and requirements of the current market. And for certain, they will change their name.

Nobody can exactly predict when the ICOs die, but I think It is going to stay in the next few years. In this year, more and more projects are coming and the number would increase even more in the coming months.

I do not think that ico will die completely. It seems to me that there can be different restrictions and it will become more difficult to participate. And there will be more difficulties for the creators of projects.

This is just the beginning, I think ICO will continue to exist because there are still countries that legalize digital currency. we can see very much ICO emerging from year to year. The only serious ICO loss is if all ICO scams and that's where the ICO is dead.

I suppose they won't die at all, but transform to something completely different, something new. ICO is just a very convenient and currently mostly unregulated crowdfunding method. It would be regulated in a few years for sure.

ICOs will never die unless the signature campaign is banned from this forum. Signature campaign are the main passage of ICOs so that they will be known by the majoriy. Also, since are technology is always upgrading, one can never tell when is the dead end for ICOs.

LMAO, if signature campaign is banned on this forum then it wont affect any ICOs. There are many ICOs without signature campaign, it is not the only way to advertise. ICO will still exist although there is no signature campaigns. ICOs will only die if there is no more people want to create a new project because no more people interested in ICOs. When is it? No one knows.

They will obviously die when nobody is willing to invest any longer. I doubt this will happen any time soon. Even though I believe that most ICOs are either crap or even scam, there are a few real nice gems to be found if you keep looking long enough.

When will losing ICO? Not known. It is now successful. While there is money for investments and eager people, I do not see why to die.
There are more and more people willing to invest in ICO, because ICO gives it the suspense of major fluctuations. There are people who want stability and will invest in a more stable currency. Opportunities will always invest in ICO. I think the year 2018 will be the best in terms of investment in ICO.

I think, if no one involved in the ICO, then the ICO will become worthless.
Currently, as countries adopt more stringent regulation on ICOs,  fraudulent ICO projects will be less and less.

Why are you so worried about this? In 2017, the number of ICO projects was very high, and many of them were successful. This year, I think the increase will also be, and will invest there. You can cook your ETH!  Wink

It is hard to predict when this will happen. Every day there is more and more ICO.  Many people think that ICO is fraud. The authorities of the country can prohibit carrying out ICO and regulate it. Today, they are trying to ban the ICO and invest in the crypto currency in China. But nothing will prevent investors from the same China invest in the ICO project of another country, unless it is prohibited by the ICO itself. In 2018, ICO will only gain growth, and most likely against this background there will be a lot of scammers.  So you need to be careful.

Not sure I'm following what you're saying.  But to answer your explicit question... ICO's will die when there's not more money.  If an ICO raises enough funds through a private sale then there's not reason to go public.  This makes their life easier because they don't have to worry about GAS wars and reduces their investor count.  If you're frustrated about missing some of the ICO's then I'd recommend finding an ICO pool and joining it.

I'm not sure if the ICOs well die.beacause as we look at the situations now there many ICOs in the market and its very popular for investment.  That why many investor who are very interested to invest thier money because of this successful project. So there is a propability that ICOs will not die. Unless the ICOS will stop there project.

I doubt ICOs would ever die off. Think about it, this is a way for any team anywhere in the world to raise money without needing to go through regulations, paperwork or legal criteria. Furthermore they can tap into investors worldwide. Whilst the ICO hype as we know it may slowly die off, they will still always be around, and I wouldn't be surprised to see if we continue to get quality ICO launches for many years yet.

Basically an ICO is a funding tool and funding has always existed but
One of the latest method is Initial Coin Offering.
This may change in the future to a different type of reward structure
with a different name but essentially its still going to be funding, so
the term ICO might be replaced by something else.
