It’s a question of time now, since bitcoin segwit ends its implementation, we will be able to see bitcoin more stable and more countries should follow legalization, making it easy to all to use bitcoin to do business.

Retailers are not dumb if a lot of their clients began asking them about accepting bitcoin they will do it in a heartbeat but since the user base of bitcoin is small and it is dispersed there is not much incentive to accept bitcoin payments at this moment, but that will change in the next years.
The user base in bitcoin is rising with time and these situation will change in ten years time, more countries are legalizing bitcoin and that will encourage retailers to start accepting bitcoin and it wont be an issue for them after that and i am sure it will be used world wide in the future,it is the best thing to happen for travellers.

Depends on the acceptance of the world's population. When bitcoin strongly implemented or even spread in different social media it will be more easy to every retailers to accept  bitcoin as mode of payment.

"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.
Well now that Japan has taken a step forward, maybe other countries  will or maybe not.  Because people think that if they use bitcoin they might end up in jail because  bitcoin is "only used for illegal purposes and not for good things ". And they will think that they are also getting scammed because of bitcoin 's price being this high.
Oh I did not know that people are afraid of getting behind bars for using bitcoins. I do not think so bitcoin users are experiencing any such thing.
Bitcoins are just a currency; they do not harm you until and unless you yourself use them for wrong things. Bitcoins are in fact helping many to improve their financial statuses and live a life they deserve.
Bitcoin is definitely useful and harmless. There may be some countries that prohibit the circulating bitcoin. That is an unfair conclusion they do not know the developing technology.
Very sorry if Bitcoin users go to jail. I hope it will not happen anywhere.

Yes it's directly related to bitcoin adoption. In case of Japan when the government recognized bitcoin as one of payment methods all the Japanese or most of them started taking interest in bitcoin and even started considering it as another currency made available to them to buy goods and as a result even the retailers have to start accepting it so it's going to be the same with other parts of the world too as the number of bitcoin users increases the number of retailers accepting bitcoin will increase too. Although nothing can be predicted for sure when this going to happen but we can only hope that it happens soon enough for everyone of us to witness and take benefit of it.

When it is legal to most countries or to a certain country for sure, retailers will accept it. And also if it will be damanded by most of their customers. It is now close to possibility that more retailers will accept Bitcoin as a currency. Now that it is being demanded by lots of people and now that it is more popular than it was before.

Retailers are the strategic individuals working into a certain establishments considering its consumers demands to come up with a plan or strategy to attract more consumers like doing an entrepreneurship. I think that matter of when does retailers will accept bitcoin is if the consumers have already used their demands on bitcoin usage. Consumer's demands will surely force and push the retailers to offer and operate bitcoin as a term of payment.

Maybe instead of asking each other every day we should start demanding to pay with bitcoin? I took this on last night and guess what? My haircut lady will do my next cut for bitcoin! Sometimes all you have to do is ask. When I did she told me I was the third person to do so.

Many will do the bitcoin dilution in the market that will happen in some time, this is when the local or foreign countries also receive bitcoin as a legitimate payment. If the reseller's legal bitcoin gets a name in the market and will be announced.

One of the causes of the bitcoin's getting accepted in a country is a lot of people use it and when the time the Government began discussing such a thing, it's certainly bitcoin will be recognized by a country and finally a lot of local store using bitcoin became one of the place of payment. But it is a role we all need in order to get recognition in our country, because it will all go well when many people use it

I think that if sellers start accepting payment through bitcoin, then prices may rise because of high fees. In some cases it will be convenient to pay in the store bitcoins, but not all will want to buy the product more expensive, for example, 2-3 times.

I appreciate the government of japan on thier decision to remain a tax free economy.
Hopefully, not only japan but all major stores and commercial organisations globally will start accepting bitcoin soon

yes  hotels, airlines and department stores in Japan are accepting bitcoin as a payment method. few merchants in other countries also now started to accept bitcoin. if this continues more countries adopt bitcoin as a good payment method.

I think they will accept bitcoin if they become familiar about it. If they know its advantages that it will help them so much. And also many retailers will accept bitcoin as main term of payment if it become legal worldwide and because of the continuous spreading popularity of bitcoin it is not impossible that all people and establishments accept bitcoin to blend with the changes.

I think retailers will accept bitcoin as soon as the consumers will push through their demands that retailers must operate bitcoin as a term of payment. In this situation, establishments will be surely forced to generate the usage of bitcoin because its their consumers needs and wants also to get along with the innovation of currency that is widely spread and used through out the whole wide world.
Indeed, the usage of Bitcoins for common purposes totally depends on the customers' love and passion for using Bitcoins as a mode of payments.

Only the Bitcoin holder can build up a pressure on the retailers for accepting Bitcoins as payments. Besides I believe that if the retailer that educated about the advantages of using Bitcoins, they will surely show interest in accepting Bitcoin as payment.

As we saw with Japan, the country legalising Bitcoin has a booming effect on whether stores are accepting Bitcoin or not. Next time such a thing will happen, number of stores will grow drastically, and price too !

Bitcoin as a payment method still represents significant risk for retailers because of volatility, legal regulation or lack of it, transactions speed and fees and all other issues connected with cryptocurrencies. At the moment Bitcoin is mostly accepted by online merchants but with time this will change too.

we need to increase the number of bitcoin users if we want more retailers to accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is known as the first cryptocurrency and it is very popular but, people only know it as a coin and most of them do not want touse bitcoin in the real world. I believe that when the number of bitcoin reaches 20% of the world population, retailers will accept bitcoin Cheesy

I think this would happen if a lot of retailers are aware of the benefits of having bitcoin. But, it's hard to blame them for not accepting bitcoin, it's hard to do because bitcoin price is so volatile, so if they accept bitcoin as payment for their business they would suffer great loss if bitcoin gets dumped really hard.
