You said it well. But here's the thing: A person who is addicted to gambling cannot stop gambling. This is the whole problem of addiction. If a person is able to stop gambling, then it will no longer be an addiction. It's like telling an alcoholic who has a big problem with it, stop drinking if you feel like you're addicted to it.

The addiction of gambling is even worse than that of alcohol,in fact alcohol with a little desire and going into a dis intoxication rehabilitation clinic they have a huge success rate of well over 95% who make it out of it without the body needing alcohol anymore. In gambling is a completely different story as money is involved and the human nature is greedy, they want more and more money and riches, they keep playing until they lose everything if they are addicted, even people who go in the rehab centers to recover from their gambling addiction has a lower success rate,in fact it is 50-50 here, only half of those who go there manage to cure addiction, statistics showing that gambling addiction is even worse to be fought than the addiction of alcohol.

Gambling addiction, yes, is hard to tackle, due to the fact it meddles with the way players think. Winning big in gambling is another promise that never leaves the brain of a player. However, while battling with addiction, is not simple to forsake the amount of money lost in the process. It's a mental disorder that continuously stresses the addict out every minute of his life. Unlike alcohol where the addict gets a clear thought once the alcohol content subsides. Addicts struggle with having a clear mind out of gambling, once addicted. Although addicted players at some stage wants to be free, they still find it hard to quit.

The whole process starting from figuring out the addiction and getting the player to therapy is not simple. Addiction causes a chronic mental disorder and must be followed with patience. The healing process continues even after the gambler is fine. Like you said, swogerino, alcoholic easily stops drinking, but a gambler will gamble still after getting healed. The only difference would be that he does it moderately, and not compulsive. To quit gambling completely as a gambler is almost impossible. What is most important is control the way we play.
A gambler that enjoys the fun in gambling will not quit gambling even though he was once addicted, that will not prevent or scare him away from gambling. He will only gamble responsible so that he can limit his losses and don't get addicted again. Any gambler that have suffered from addiction and was able to overcome it, will understand how to gamble in a way that will not affect him.

This is why it is gamblers who are addicted needs medical help and his loved ones to help him at that critical time that he is fighting to overcome addiction in other for him to be successful, and he needs to be monitored to make sure that he does not go back to gamble at the initial stage.

You can add these two:

When you win little, do not gamble on that day again. But some gamblers will feel like they should continue to gamble and they will lose at the end of the day.

When you are addicted. Quit gambling for a long time.

This means that it is easier said than done and I agree with you because you have said something that is in line with the fact that addiction is a phase where it will be very difficult for someone to stop and maybe you have heard that people who are addicted are difficult to give advice to because usually they will not listen to anything you suggest which leads to the recommended action such as implementing some limits, all they want is to continue gambling and if it was that easy to stop gambling when they are already addicted then logically there would be no gamblers who would experience many impacts bad from gambling like falling poor? Of course.

But in fact, as we see now, the number of gamblers who experience many bad effects is actually increasing and that means it is not that easy to stop gambling when someone has entered the addiction phase because addiction is a situation where someone already has a very high interest in the activity. This is for a reason, such as wanting to get a big win to restore the situation.

It's true recognizing and admitting to an addiction is the first step towards recovery whether it's gambling, smoking, or drinking. This realization can be a powerful moment of clarity, prompting individuals to take control and initiate changes. It's all about personal awareness and the determination to improve one's life. Just as some people successfully quit smoking or drinking on their own by reaching a personal breaking point, the same can be true for gambling. The key is self-recognition and the willingness to seek help and make substantial life changes.

Indeed, this is easy to say but difficult to implement, just like the self-control that must be mastered when gambling. Many people have ruined their lives financially, health or even their relationships because they can't control themselves or can't gamble responsibly, they only think about winning, even though the gambling they do ends in defeat, they don't care what they think about winning. and just win. It is very unfortunate for those who gamble but cannot be responsible for what they do.
Someone who can be responsible for their actions or can control themselves when gambling is a rare thing, because the majority of people who gamble cannot do that. They often use large amounts of money, even more than they can afford, because it is not surprising that there are cases of people borrowing money to gamble, or having their lives chased by debt.
That is unfortunately very true. I have seen people lose houses at gambling, they were rich people anyway but the fact that they couldn't stop themselves shows that casinos are so addictive and people fail to stop when they should. I understand losing some money that you decided to gamble with before you start gambling, that way you would know your budget and you will not gamble more than that budget.

But these are not the same things, we are talking about people who end up losing as much as possible, we are talking about a situation that is a bit bigger than that. I believe that most people end up losing a lot of money because they do not know what they are doing and they fail to stop, which causes a lot of trouble later on.
Indeed, there are more gamblers who cannot stop themselves from gambling, because gambling has a strong attraction too, whether people are rich or poor, in my opinion it is the same, rich or poor does not rule out the possibility that they can be addicted to gambling. They can become addicted to gambling if they cannot control themselves when gambling. It's true what you said, they can't stop when they should, such as when they win and when they lose. I think that when we win or lose we must be able to stop gambling to avoid losses that could cause us misery.
I think those who lose a lot of money know what they are doing, but their mistake is that they expect too much and they chase things that are not certain (winning). If only they knew and realized that winning at gambling cannot be achieved easily, perhaps they would not gamble excessively so that they could lose a lot of money.
It's exciting and thrilling, but it can lead you down a very bad road. We can talk about managing your money and leaving while you're ahead, but that's just the surface. The real thing? That big. This is what we want, no matter how much money we have or how little
Maybe we need to change our attention. Instead of criticising the game, you should show people how it works.  It might be time for a lot of gamblers to wake up by learning about the odds, how the house always wins, and how crazy unlikely it is to win the prize.  It doesn't take away the thrill, but it does make things more real

When someone playing gambling too often, he can becomes addicted to gambling. He doesn't realizes what happens to him. If someone have a spare time and choose to playing gambling, he must be carefully and have a limitations because gambling can tempts him easily. He will not stops playing gambling when he lose some money. And he will keeps playing gambling and recovers his lose because he thinks he still have a chance to wins. That's why if someone have a spare time, he must not use his times to playing gambling instead doing the other things so that will not makes him to spends money. We can playing gambling but we must knows when to stops ourselves so we don't have to lose much money. And we must remember to take a break from gambling if we thinks we already lose some money and to avoids more loses.

That's when the player has no good gambling purpose. Emotional stress is a problem for most gamblers. Handling it is not simple, and taking control while in such a condition is another huge trouble. Most gamblers are stressed emotionally, and it demeans their self-control when gambling. I see this loss of control as the main reason why players are chasing losses. The house's goal is to generate lots of money, and naive players out of greed also want to rake enough money to suit their fantasies. Thier perspectives or views of making huge money, drives the player to make mistakes. Since gambling is designed to help players relax money should not have been any gambler's purpose of being part of the game. However, everyone somehow needs extra money, but gambling isn't a nice place for side hustle.

Yet inexperienced players get deceived to think they can earn more through gambling. That's why they invest both time and money aggressively to hit the jackpot. The more every gambler craves for the jackpot, the harder it gets to win. I see the jackpot as method for attracting more gamblers to join the casino. Since the house advertises players who won the jackpot. Lots of casinos even take it to TV stations to show they've awarded a player a whooping amount of money. In a nutshell, the strongest drive and purpose that leads gamblers to participate in gambling, the jackpot, is mainly for advertisement.

Your first point is extremely correct. Desperation can make your situation worse than it originally was. I’ve seen someone gamble with desperation and he said that he’s staking all he has so maybe the return will match the amount that he needed, and he lost it right in front of me. That’s the worst time to gamble, because you’re focused on getting that amount of money and you’re controlled by it.
If someone want to make money, it's better for them to trade futures or buy shitcoins. At least if he correctly predict the market or correctly picking the right shitcoins, he can earn a lot. While gambling, it's high unlikely someone will win.

Although... when desperate it's better for someone to not gamble at all, if they have a financial problem, better to take a loan and working hard to pay off the debt.

👉👉when you are in need of money urgently

👉👉To regain back your loses

👉👉Under pressure or frustration

See if any gambler is faced with these three reasons or conditions you mentioned, he will automatically stop himself from gambling. Because all these situations are undesirable and can happen to anyone at any time so if he is an experienced and professional gambler then he must refrain himself from gambling in the above mentioned situations.
However, many times there are many mental disorder gamblers who do not pay attention to the above mentioned conditions and gamble only for the greed of money, so these situations come upon him as more terrible. So those gamblers can't stop themselves in all these situations and can't stop themselves from gambling.

On a norm, when a gambler is experiencing these conditions he mentioned above, it is a very critical stage because when you gamble to get money urgently he even loses more instead of gaining and trying to recover lost funds will even lead to more deeper loss which leads to frustration and depression so in order not to experience this things going on a break at that material time is very important for the mental health of that person.

When you are addicted. Quit gambling for a long time.

Addiction to gambling means that you are doing too much gambling and in that case, quitting gambling is not easy. If it was so easy, everyone would have taken a break from gambling for some time and never become addicted. I think it's too late for the gambling addict to follow any gambling golden rules because he is totally in control of his emotions.

If it was so easy, everyone would have taken a break from gambling for some time and never become addicted. I think it's too late for the gambling addict to follow any gambling golden rules because he is totally in control of his emotions.

That's one of the best strategy that I've been doing since then, and it works to me that's why I didn't lose big chunk of money in my pocket because whenever I win, especially if it's smaller amount, I thought carefully first if I can still place a bet for the money I have or if I should stop first because maybe in the end I will continue to lose. Gambling is really risky and you need courage especially when it comes to money and the values of money used or consumed in it are no joke.

You are following this strategy means that you are not addicted to gambling and you can think what is good and bad for you. A gambling addict only focuses on gambling and does not care how much time and money he is losing in gambling.
I agree that if we keep on following these small practices and also manage the risks, we will never become gambling addicts. Smiley

Most of the people gamble due to their greed so if they win in gambling then they are not thankful for that reward but utilise that sum again in gambling which does not guarantee that he will win this time also. If a person accepts both win and loss then he will not gamble regularly but will gamble in limited timing with limited cash.

At first everyone will say that he has control over his gambling abilities but when the loss and greed increase he will lose his control over his feelings and will feel happy after each opportunity that he will find after a loss.

Controlling emotions for a gambler is very hard and gambling acts as a poison that spread slowly and its toxicity increases with the passage of time.

The emotions of gamblers can get injured by gambling. Not just about the loss of money the player faces, various factors like continually experiencing anxiety lead gamblers close to depression. The game is designed to lessen the emotional strength of a gambler till he's not capable of controlling how he wagers money. As you said, the emotional pain gradually spreads till the player is unable to understand what he's doing. That's the reason most gambler's emotional control is in the mud. Gambling processes that consist of ongoing losses rather than winning, affect probably the feelings of a gambler. Thereby, causing the player some harm. Which he never expected to happen to him.

The emotional struggle kicks out sadness and anger on the gambler, hence his decisions will be fueled by it. Playing with anxiety won't be fun, and the gambler has a low advantage in making nice decisions. In a battle context, the house handicaps the gambler not to have many chances of winning. The house wouldn't have made as much money as they do if they were seeking donations to help run the business. So, they devised a method that'll make gamblers enjoy the game and spend more time gambling. Thereby, yielding more profits for the casino. Enough to clear their bills and pay workers.

self control in gambling is a good way to handle our losses cause if we don't have self control then there's a chance that we will loss a lot of money because of the reason that we are too greedy that we can't handle ourselves and bet as we can without knowing that our bankroll is run out of money.  But anyways there are many gamblers who can control themselves and they didn't loss a lot of money in gambling and that's a good example of a responsible gamblers.
This has been one of the greatest challenge of most gamblers but then it's actually not easy letting go because sometimes you may seem to respect and respond to how you feel much more than how you bare actually supposed to react and so it turns out that you ha e got only but very small control over yourself and habit too aswell especially while gambling, even experienced gamblers suffer this at times.

Controlling yourself when Gambling is actually not an easy thing to do but if you successfully achieve it, then you can say for sure that you have been able to get a good habits that will actually help you gambling and to be able to maintain such you must be able to keep to your routine probably what you have decided to do and what not to do than you could be specific about even the Amount of money you have aswell spent too gambling for the day or probably for the week so its all about you planning and most definitely it will turn out you can gradually maintain a good habit.

Controlling yourself is something one can actually started gradually because habits are things that are very hard to drop but way much easier pick up especially the bad habits that will cause use to even not to be able to properly think of the opportunity the good habits Avils so we be able to put them into consideration and be able to see if it's something we could actually get  controller gradually.

Gambling can be fun and also become a serious problem if not done appropriately. Alot of gambler get themselves into problem because they gamble anyhow and anytime. There are some times you should take a break in gambling so that you won't become an addict or give yourself problem. Time you shouldn't gamble includes:

👉👉when you are in need of money urgently
Some people gamble the most when they are in need of urgent money. They use the little in their account to gamble believe they can double the money in no time through gambling to do what they want to do. This most times go wrong making them to lose the little they should have save for that purpose

👉👉To regain back your loses
Pursuing loses in gambling make you lose more. So it better to have a break when you have lose alot. That period may not be your own lucky time to win. Taking a break can help you to avoid being addicted and also save you from losing more.

👉👉Under pressure or frustration
Gambling under pressure or frustration may make you go beyond your plan. It can also make you to make wrong decision from your bet. So it's better to do away with gambling during this period.

CONCLUSION
Gambling should be fun, it's better to stay away when it has started to become a problem.
I say just don't gamble when you're supposed to be doing something else.

You have a problem you think gambling could fix? Don't gamble, you got something on your mind that you think gambling could take you out off for the meantime? You check out other stuff first before you go depend on gambling for company. Thing is, there's nothing that gambling could specifically give you, that other sources of enjoyment couldn't. I'd argue that gambling is even more detrimental to you than just thugging the problem out and facing it head-on, if you're having problems that is.

Gambling is something that you can only do for fun if you wanna be successful at it and not get addicted, you can only see gambling as a one-off rendezvous so to speak, something that's there for when you need it, not something that you need to have all the time.

The moment you make gambling a bigger deal than it is, and start particularly looking for lists like this, you're already fucked and you're probably halfway to being addicted to gambling already. By then I suggest you look introspectively and actually quit.

It is not difficult for gamblers who have good motives, those who try to pay off the borrowed money after taking it. Moreover, if the gambler has the ability to repay his loan, then there is no exception. But nowadays no one trusts gambler because they mostly lie or cannot follow through on their words. No one wants to pay such people because no one wants to lose their own hard earned money. I don't trust gambler because the kind of promise they make to me is not possible for anyone else. I personally don't trust Gambler to lend money because they can deny it at any time. However, it is not possible to say that everyone is entitled to the same type of personality. There are many who try to match words with deeds. It is not bad for them to lend.
