Use special sites like icodrops. On forum every day publish a huge number of bench and recognize the a normal project becomes very difficult.
I am using primarily IcoDrops as they seems to be the only (quite) credible ICO rating site, but I am avoiding IcoBench and others "pay4rate" sites.
I stumbled upon IcoGens lately and it is similar to IcoDrops with some additional listings, we shall see if they keep their bias-less ratings.

Most of the time I am relying on the bitcointalk forum, because most of new prospective projects are announced here, and none of the project cannot live without having a page on bitcointalk forum.

its not 'iso' , it is 'ico' though your strategy is good . listening advice or asking important infos about your friends that is good at at it can also help you to be more sucesful when finding or joining a good ico .
well if you ask me about my strategy of finding a good ico , what i actually do is i only look for some feedbacks or reviews before i join to an ico . if i find a lot of good feedbacks about them , that is the time that i will decide to apply for their campaign.

It's not easy to find a promising ico for current investment, there are so many ico out there. However I always look at reviews of ico bench or ico rating. There they review all about ico, good and bad. They discuss everything.
One of the main sources of information is of course bitcointalk, but there are also useful sites with ICO rating such as ICORating, ICO Bench, Icomarket. Thoroughly learn the project before the adventure!
I learn from the Telegram as for me it is the easiest .So same from known . Read the forum. Watch YouTube video reviews,what's on offer .
