the best source of new is this forum. but if you like to follow an token and has an updated news about it better to follow them on telegram. you can also ask them if you have some questions about the project. i also reading some news on the crypto news application i downloaded on the google play store. it's also an updated application that you can read new news about crypto and blockchain etc.
I usually find news about my favorite coins from Twitter, facebook, Telegram, and media like: investing, cointelegraph, steemith, https://www.newsbtc.com/.
A very good source is twitter. Start looking for crypto and you will find new channels every day. Not all are really good but after investigating different channels, you will find out which one is good and others only tries to spread affiliate links. If you see channels only posting "Buy ICO X" ignore and unsubscribe.
I try to use different channels. Telegram, Discord, Slack are the most popular. I don't use RocketChat. As I think twitter and Fb news are too late often. I need the most fresh news not from social media
I usually find news about coins on social media like twitter, reddit, telegram, YouTube channel, Reddit, LinkedIn and mostly threads here.... Others are cointelegraph.com
Now there are many sources of krypto-news, but not all of them have sense and truthfulness. I read on this forum, and a lot of news from the groups in the telegram, I would also like to mention Altcoinlog, a fairly good source
Normally youtube, some of the big twitter guys are good too.
Yes, check several YouTube channels. They place the information about the cryptocurrencies often. I use Telegram and Twitter as well. However, as you see the news here, on this Forum, appear often.
There are many news sites or forums to get updated about bitcoin or altcoins. For example, You can join bitcoin forum for updates. You can also search in google. In my case, I visit http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Business+&+Finance/Cryptocurrencies for updates, I also visit https://coinmarketcap.com/ for price updates.
Usually people find all news, announcements and updates on the official websites of the company/project. Also you can use bitcointalk.org, it's a good resurs for all news about crypto. But for me the best way to know cryptonews is the special telegram channels.
I found the news about crypto most of the time is here in forum and sometimes heard in other people, talking about the new came out crypto and what the updates about it. And since we our now based in technology we can get news immediately by internet, and since there's a lot sites you can get info about crypto, you cn now get it in google. Even the news in television you can get what going on about it, and that's my way to know the news in cryptocurrency,

News I receive chaotically, very often I accidentally come across news that I did not even expect to read, but it happens that they are very important, it does not always happen, but it does happen.
I use twitter reddit and Facebook to find all interesting news
Bitcointalk is a good site but yeah here you do not able to find a lot news. But check different online media. there are actually a lot of information and news about altcoins, cryptocurrency. I like to read medium, steemit, reddit. Also there are useful chats in Telegrams where you get notifictions.
What websites (besides this forum) or other sources do you use to get news about your coins?
I read on bitcointalk but have the feeling that I miss a lot of interesting news about the coins I own (currently BTC, OMG, ADX, SUB, KMD, ARK, BLOCK, ETH) and would like to stay more 'in the news'.

There are so many means of allowing ourselves to get the information that we need in the cryptocurrency world. One good example is on the advertisements in Youtube. Watching videos about cryptocurrencies, and it will pop that will lend you information about a certain altcoin. Another one is the facebook, there are so many altcoins shown there once you scroll on your news feed. There are so many one in the online world, easy to access and easy to understand.
Google and Twitter are also very helpful.
Exhaustive answer. Instead of Google, you would have written the Internet. So that people do not have any questions. 
As for me, I subscribe to the telegram channel with announcements of those coins that interest me.
I draw news from almost all the sources that are available to me. Internet sites, this forum, friends who are engaged in crypto-currencies. Any adequate information that can be found.
Everytime I want to know new updates, announcements or updates about cryptos, I just go to telegram channels and social media sites and get some fresh updates.
I get information on the forum.Google and Twitter are also very helpful.
I normally found news from youtube. Also some times I use few websites to find latest news. I think bitcoin talk also giving news to users. So it is also a good way to find latest news.
What was learned on the TV news and online forums was also shared on Twitter. When you are concerned about these, it will naturally be pushed to you. And then recognize some people in the same industry.
