NOTHING is risk free!

For example many people hold some bitcoins, besides using it as a currency, and I would consider it as quite safe, because I believe in the concept of bitcoin and know all (i hope so) disadvantages of fiat currencies. Furthermore I think if many people (reffering to all BTC users) want something it´s hard to stop them. Thats why i think its quite "risk-free".

But imagine if somehow USA, EU, Russia and China would say: We create our own Cryptocurrency, which they control, forbid BTC, advertise and force their cryptocurrency, which is well developed, got no scaling problem and so on. Well I think the BTC price would drop. I know this is quite unrealistic and I have like 100x more argumants why this is impossible than why it is possible, but I thought I mention this to show you nothing is "risk-free".

For now I would sell my BTC for fiat, wait till the attempt to solve the current scaling problem is over (I really hope it succeds) and then reinvest immediately into BTC afterwards (if everything goes well, immidiately because price will rise, or if not wait till one of the forks takes the place as the real BTC and invest into thisone, before price rises again). (I do this)

Another option would be to invest into the bankroll of a casino/ open your own, because in the long term you will always win. If you invest somewhere, only invest in really big ones which won´t file for bankruptcy.

I think this is unnecessary to say, but never invest in some Ponzi, HIYP or participate in any kind of MLM, avoid ICO´s where you aren´t 100% sure it is not a scam (if you know the devs or something).

At the moment, I would wait till 1st August to see what happens in the bitcoin world ! So till then I guess it is wise to hold all your coin in a cold storage !
For investing purposes, you should  know that every investment has their risks, even lending as it's risks ! So you should search first about what you want to do, is it lending, trading, bankroll or something else. Get to know How it works and after that start investing some, not all at the same place.

it's very simple. there is nowhere risk free to invest your bitcoins.

there are ways to capitalise on your bitcoin holdings for free with alts.

bitcore, stellar and byteball all give you free coins based on your bitcoin balance based on certain dates the blockchain is recorded. sign a message with your addresses and you get free coins you can keep or dump.

with 40 btc you should get about over 1 btc worth of alts with those coins.

way better return than any bullshit investment.
Can you tell me how that works? you mean i only have to share my signed signature with bitcore, steller, byteball and they will give me altcoin for free?if that's so i can do that.tell me more?

ico are the most remunerative now if you can invest a tiny % you can get an idea, try tezos, is a new ico and look very promising, dev behind is competent

otherwise the only rosk free is mining altcoin, never lost anything there and made tons of btc with pow coin, you can always sell back your gpu
is cloudmining altcoins really legit and risk free?or you mean to mine altcoins by purchasing own hardware?

I have been buying bitcoin when the price was around 400$-450$.Most of my bitcoins are bought at that price around 40 BTC and remaining at less then 600$ price.i have been holding btc in paper wallet since then and already my stash in usd is 6 times.
here is one of my tx

what i want to know is please suggest some ways to invest my bitcoin at zero risk to earn some profit.Even 0.8% to 1% profit per month is good for me but it should be risk free.i don't mind the profit percentage but risk should not be there.if you have some suggestions please post that too,if i should keep holding for more years and if yes how long should i hold?

I think its better to hold onto your bitcoins although its not risk free, you can still also earn from it. If you really wanna invest go for ICO's that has a good project and vision. Research very well so that you can earn profit many times more than usual.

Wait until the heat surrounding hard fork taking place in August cools down. Once the certainty about Bitcoin is back, you will have plenty of options to choose from.

I am new here but even I know that nothing is risk free in this world. Bitcoin holders believe in bitcoin future and in price increase, by them just holding is the safest way to make profit, but like other
members above me said even that is not risk free. 45 BTC is $115k and that is a lot now, just with holding that can worth double for one year or less.
I must agree here and probably repeat what is said many times on this forum, it is best to split the money into several parts and if something goes wrong with one investment you will still have back up
plan, safety first is one of my rules.

Yes, and just like what old timers says here: Diversify. It is still not a risk free, nothing is risk free specially in investment, but I think not putting all your eggs in one basket will help you mitigate the risk of a lost. And yes, I think you have the patience to hold into it. So if I were at your position, holding is still the best option and the safest for now.

That is what I do... I don't have a lot of money, but does't matter, it's always good to split the investment among some sites. FreeBitco.in is a good option, Casino bankrolls are a good option, to just hold a part of these Bitcoins is good too.

If any of the investments go wrong, you will have all the others still working and able to let you recover your losses. However, investing in Bitcoins you can never avoid to have losses if the BTC price decreases, what I don't believe that will happen, but the possibility exists.

That is a nice expression, do not keep all eggs in one basket, I did not know for that, and this explain this situation. Greediness have a big role here, greedy people will try to make more and always
more, that inspire them to try very risky investments where are chances for losing bitcoins are high.
You are doing a right thing then, in which Casinos did you invest your bitcoins? FreeBitco.in is a nice site, but their faucet prizes are very low at the moment, I assume that you deposited your bitcoins
and you are making money just from holding them there, I`m their user but on their site things are going very slow.

There is no combination for "risk-free" and "invest", any investment does have a risk to the invested money and the profit earned would likely be related to the degree of risk you put your money through.
Trading and buying altcoins is extremely risky, lending p2p is even more, investing in gambling websites is gambling with a little bit better odds and buying stocks of bitcoin operations in havelock is combining both stock trading risk and bitcoin risk.
The safest way to keep BTC is holding it, and even then, the risk of USD fluctuation exist, but a 45 BTC will stay as a a 45 BTC sum.

Wow, the 500% gain you have isn't enough? Crazy. There is risk in owning bitcoin, so theres no such thing as a risk free bitcoin investment.

I think you should leave your bitcoin in that paper wallet until segwit and the fork talk have passed. Segwit2x is scheduled to occur on August 1. And then the nodes and miners have 6 months to fully adopt the new code, so a fork is possible for 6 months past that Aug 1 date.

Just hunker down and enjoy the ride!
are you saying that if bip 148 is successful then also there will a chain split within 6 months?

Yes. There's a good explanation of it here, scroll down to Segwit2x HardFork

Bip 148 is just a fail safe, if Segwit isn't already live by August 1st, Bip 148 forces nodes to reject blocks that don't signal for Segwit.

I think the best thing to do is to keep them safe and wait for the price to go up since you are asking for risk free investment... Trading can earn you a lot with 45 btc but you could also have the potential of losing your bitcoin

You are a really lucky guy, with the amount of bitcoin present you are one of the very rich guys. I think you do not need to make any investment, keep bitcoin in your wallet, and you can make a profit when bitcoin increases further...

Wow 45 btc is big amount of money so if I were you just hold onto your bitcoin and wait what will happen this coming August 1. And if you are afraid of loss then maybe do not go into investment because investing always have risk and losing is part of it.

If you can't risk anything i think you will gain any profit cause when it cones to money there willbe always risk whether you like or not. I suggest invest your money in trading crypto currencies depending on how much you've invested you earn up to 5-10% on trading and also this is good if you want to earn cash quickly but do some research about it before doing cause it's better to be safe than sorry. Just start with a small capital first then if gotten use to it you can start trading big amounts of btc or some altcoins.

45 BTC is far too many to just invest in one place risk free. I'd suggest put some into a credible alt with a good staking return, give some of them out as loans on trusted and verified platforms, reserve some away just to not touch and maybe come back to in a couple years when Bitcoin is much higher, and the rest I'd suggest you trade with cautiously.

45 btc?? Wow that's too much. Well you should invest on August 1 where bitcoin will drop its value due to a split in system. The best way to be "risk free" is to hold it or invest some in altcoins. Well suit yourself on doing the ways in earning but i recommend to hold it.

I doubt if you would find any bitcoin-related investment that has zero risk attached to it. Even bitcoin in itself has a lot of risks given its volatile nature. You can just convert back to fiat maybe a portion of your bitcoins and store in a time deposit or in a relatively safe and low-interest earning financial instrument, but inflation might just eat away the value of your money. But the decision is all yours and the risks you take will depend on how long you want to stay invested and how much more you want to make.

there really isn't any risk free investment in the whole world. there are very low risk investments but even if they assure you there is no risk, there will be some.
I think the best thing is to continue holding for profit. but you can always invest small amounts, you don't have to invest big. for example only invest 5BTC in different things. you can also start trading meaning to invest in altcoins short term for more profit.
but the best investment in my opinion with money is starting your own business.

There is no risk free way to invest such a large sum of money. I would reccomend lending it on poloniex where the only risk you take is on poloniex itself.

I would suggest you to keep those BTC in your wallet. There is no any safe cryptocurrency. If you really want to make some profit fast, then you should find out more about trading.

But it would be better to keep it safe. Because value of BTC is rising fast, you have already seen it. Wink

Nice job dude! Can't believe you were one of the early investors to bitcoin. Is that 700% growth not good enough to for you. My advice to you is wait for the hard fork to happen and after that see what happens to Bitcoin. Right now the best investment you could do, which is not entirely risk free, is just hold bitcoin. With all these countries adapted to Bitcoin, there is definitely potential for another huge surge. Every investment has risk no matter what.

Good luck with your investments!
