It is better to wait for access to normal exchanges and sell at a good price. on Etherdelta and other very large commission and you will sell them at a very small price. My choice is to wait.
Depends on what tokens you have. If you have ERC20 based tokens you always can use a decentralized exchange like IDEX. If you have NEP-5 tokens you can use Switcheo exchange.
first of all go to the announcement topics and check where you can sell them. there is always a link there. and also there are sometimes people there selling and buying coins and tokens in each announcement topic underprice if there is no exchanges available.
other than that you can go to https://coinmarketcap.com/ search the name of your token and check the market tab to see the list of exchanges having the token you want to sell.

Second, coinmarketcap is good idea to check where we can sell our token and we can check the volume or circulation of the token in exchange.
because I get token from following bounty so I follow the project listing in exchange, usually I sell in forkdelta, etherdelta, idex and many others
On any major stock exchange, you can sell a token. If your toker is not traded on the top-market, you need to sell it where it trades. You change to Ethereum and sell.
The best practice is to sell the tokens where each token is listed. Etherdelta and idex such sites are doing very cheaply trade.

If you can't get to see your token listed on your exchange, try finding them in exchanges like etherdelta and forkdelta which has lower requirements for listing. Though keeping patience till it gets listed on a proper exchange pays in terms of profit.

You can not sell it if your token can not enter the market unless you sell it to someone else who will receive your token.
Before you can sell your token you have to know if your token is already listed and it will depend on your token where you can sell your coins it will be base on the coins that you have you can check if your coin has a value on coinmarketcap, if it does not a value on coinmarketcap you can check on other website that put the coin value there are many websites there. But it is more safe if you check in coinmarketcap that is the website that I know have the safeway to sell your coin. You can read some opinions here in bitcointalk. How they sell their bitcoin.
