I think without internet we could have had more peace and happiness in the world. Social media alone as a sector of the internet is being used to create crime all over the world. Free porn, jihadists recruitment, hacker and scamming activities are all done on internet. People could have been holy, just and righteous without internet.

Without the internet, society would be better. Conversations between people would be more healthy and productive. Nowadays, I noticed that whenever there is a gathering or even a simple hangout with my friends, you will see that most people are looking at each other's phones or tablet, there is no real conversation happening.
Less advanced, more isolated but happier and sociable.
Without the internet, we would socialize more with our friends rather than cooped up looking at our tablets all day. Mankind were living a great life before the internet and we will continue to.

The only downside of life without the internet is lack of information. You wouldn't know that someone in your area is selling a house or renting a flat without buying a newspaper and looking something up would take much more time. No Wikipedia, no Google maps...
A lot of things would definitely be hard, regarding research. It's going to be real hard work like the old times like going to the libraries where it's live action, or probably manual copying of files. Computers would still exist but the innovation or the time it takes to upgrade something would take even longer, that's for sure.

I think the better question here is where would be the society if internet will be gone? Since almost all of us is using internet everyday and even some cant live without it. I cant imagine how hard it is especially we use to have internet.
I remember society before internet. Life was more slow and peaceful. You were not annoyed with 2000 emails. You had more time to do your work. You could imagine people do serious things instead of bullshit on the internet.

things would be very status quo, the elite would be getting away with a lot more just like they did in the 80s and 90s. thing about the net was the rich people who invest in it possibilities did not understand it right away. society needed to adopt it first, or the elite would have kept it for themselves juts like everything else

Internet gives us a quick information to everyone. Its also improve a lot in communications, because you can communicate to anyone in the world, unlike before. And ofcourse its easier to advertise any business today, that means more business will be created.
