In fact, in the altcoin world, I always chose Ethereum, even for this year. it's just that, currently the price is still very high. So, I might also be looking for alternatives, and from the existing portfolio, I might just choose BAT, otherwise I might choose BNB or LTC to hold for now.
I am not looking at altcoins at this point because the dominance is very high above 70%, so the possibility of altcoins not going up is very high.
but from cmc or coingecko I see that some altcoins have also experienced very high increases even though btc domination is very high.
such as eth, doge, ltc, bnb, and others.
doge which has the highest increase in recent days because, elon musk said doge on his twitter account and made a very large fomo.

u know i'd better invest in long term in ethereum and eth dex projects, in short term (for speculation) - in good credible defi. for me it's not reasonable to invest into alts when defi is so hyping
besides i'm also try to work with dex-es who offer interesting options for liquidity providers and have simple and effective executive strategy
I'm not buying any more at the moment, only watching my bags moon. From August to December, i accumulated various alts related to defi and polkadot ecosystem. It seems this choice was judicious.
To answer to op : If i wanted to buy now, i would bet on projects allowing to use l2 in order to access cheaper transactions on the eth network. I think his anostronomical fees are poison for everyone and first projects to come up with solutions to this will hit the jackpot, imo.

Polkadot and cardano, but i don't see both altcoins in your list above
why i bought polkadot is because this altcoins is a rising start in altcoins world and this coin has a lot of peotential to grow more in the near time
and cardano, as you can see now, cardano show up its power, and soon maybe the price will touch about $0.7

From your list i would only pick Icon as im interested in only top notch coins at the moment, other than icon i would suggest ada, bnb, dot and trx for longterm hold and massive gains by end this year. - LoopRing

I'm not interested in all the altcoins that OP listed, I'm more a old altcoin guy like Ethereum and Neo, they are far more reliable and safer to me, there are very few new altcoins that I have interest on like Polkadot and Avalanche, apart from these two others are uncertainty to me, still the choice is yours

Those crypto you mentioned, may good choice for investment even those might be best enough for hold but my personality & test, is defferent from yours.so if i were you, i am going to invest my fund by choosing bnb,trx,polkadot and most likely eth!the reason of buy is, those are already proved theirs ability, and i strongly believe, those will going to be more developed and be raised so higher by upcoming times.
I am not really a fan of altcoin and in my own opinion it would be wiser to invest in bitcoin may it be for a long term or short term hold. However, I do believe that altcoin investment though risky it can earn huge depending on luck. Altcoins are tend to be more risky than bitcoin and this is why chosing the right altcoin to invest is the most crucial thing to do. Better chose ethereum and other strong altcoins in the market.

For me cardano for this year. They have a lot of news coming soon. I really hope.it can go up to 2$ or more this year.

Actually i Don’t have any idea about this all coins but i know something about Ontology and Terra. Also have Some Terra and Ontology on my wallet as a Holding token. If Ontology and Terra price is Pump on Upcoming day, then i can Sell my all holding Balance.
This is good idea for buy top 10 altcoins which is list on coinmarketcap. After on if i can get good upcoming project then i want invest there. Otherwise best wishes invest in top altcoins with cheap price for future profits. Recently i really thenk ame token because i have received some profits from it.
The Top 10 is like Blue chips investing in cryptocurrency where we will get big profits and also unmeasurable risks than we prefers altcoins which are still at the bottom and also trading volume is still low.

I will choose Terra and Ontology from your list because their prices are undervalued ATM, I should think. Remember that Ontology once did >$10 at its ATH. I expect it to repeat that feat which is possible fir any token that suffered a dump but didn't get abandoned. Sadly, I don't have any of the two coins I picked ATM. However, my jewel — Cartesi — isn't listed on your list. Yes, I know CTSI has a 1billion total supply (I personally avoid tokens in billions) but CTSI's programmes are irresistible and consistent and that for me are the forces pulling me to it. I fancy my chances with it as I see the risk worth taking. The token is highly undervalued as it were now. - LoopRing

I bought some XLM on Binance exchange, I think XLM has good potential to have at the moment, although there are many options for some other coins but somehow I am more inclined to buy XLM, I think it will be a little boost from the next few weeks .
I buy a lot XRP, because the price of XRP is very low. In future, it will be the great price. One more coin which is good for investment, that is bitcoincash. The price of bitcoincash is good for buying.
^ although XRP is currently in a case with the SEC, I don't think it will dampen investors' confidence in XRP. as time goes by the XRP problem will just disappear and maybe the price starts to go up. BCH is good too, it's just that the hard fork this time makes the BCH value like divided. BCH looks like it will be difficult to touch the ATH again.
personally i would like to invest in king of alt coins name as ETHEREUM
because i believe that no one altcoin beat ETHEREUM because ethereum has a huge potential then other

I am currently not thinking about any of the newly released altcoins. because in my opinion it is full of risks and traps. I prefer altcoins that are already good in the market such as the example of ethereum, the risk is not too big and also the potential profit is already visible in the future
