I would go for new coins at least for 50 percent. That's where you gain if you risk. Zilliqa, Wanchain are under my radar at the moment, for wanchain we need to wait more though. Have a good look at DRGN as well. They just started showing some activities and not so known yet, but probably will be in near future
I think almost all alts now is down by its price, if you are planning to invest, put youre capital to the coin that you think Will give you profit in return. If your asking some suggestion I suggest reddcoin and siacoin both coins are down now and it has potential to go up.

I think you can rely on some of the following: Stellar, Monero and IOTA.
Honestly, I'm also a supporter of Ethereum Classic. But the choice is yours.
Honestly chose a good ico and invest a few dollars till march that seems to be the best bet. But again wheather it will hit the exchange or not will be a risk you have to decide upon. Till March i expect the market to be like this, no solid reason this is what the vibes i get out of the crypto world
