My favorite investment coin ETH. I have invested some more coins like xrp, cro, vchain and usdt. Eth good profit for me. My buy price was $ 350. Currently trading above $ 500. I'm still holding.
My best invested coin BTC. Also ETH, BNB, NEO and XLM are my favorite coin. I invested about 0.5 BTC. My buy price was 10100. I'm still holding. Also I have invested $200 XLM and $300 ETH. According to the current price, my invest coin is giving good profit. Thanks crypto.

Bitcoin and Ethereum is the top coins what must to hold for me after Bitcoin price now is touch $18k.
But i can recommended other coins for hold now like BNB and BSC, LTC and TRX.

From the past until now I still trust Bitcoin and Ethereum to hold on to for the long term. The other coins for me to hold and use are Monero and Tron. I think Monero and Tron are very worthy of holding for a while.
Basically I have more faith on top 100 tokens which are listed on Coinmarketcap ranking. If I consider top 5 coins for holding then I must say,

This thread was created in 2 years ago and if he invested or hold the coin on his list they get a lot of profit but sad to see there is a lot of people who give up during 2018 when the value of the coins down they lost trust to the cryptocurrency so a crypto investors and holder who put money or still holding the coin are gaining more profit.
Ethereum , bitcoin , litecoin , ripple and BNB is best to hold now and you will get more profit to this coin than the others.

For me personally I prefer to hold Bitcoin and Ethereum for the long term, because holding Bitcoin and Ethereum for the long term is guaranteed and will get good profits in the future compared to other Altcoins. Bitcoin and Ethereum have very clear futures and I believe they will both grow and benefit everyone who holds them, including me.
I prefer mixing my bags with DeFi projects, old altcoins and few new altcoins, here so what I'm currently holding in my portfolio

I prefer DeFi coins because the DeFi project is the choice of investors in 2020, the DeFi coins that I will hold are UNI, LINK, MAKER, YFI and also COMP, the reason is because these coins have a high market capitalization among other DeFi projects.
With unstable cryptocurrency prices, it is difficult to pick top 5 coins that are good for hodl. We should do top to bottom examination and exploration.
However, for novices basically picking mainstream coins with high volumes, those coins are more secure for hodl. In view of the investigation and exploration results I did for a couple of months, I at last found the main 5 coins that are productive to be hodl. Counting crypto.com, munero, Chainlink ,BNB and DIA.

I always prioritize ETH and Bitcoin in my portfolio, those are the best projects and the price will go up dramatically in the long term. In addition, BNB, LINK, NEO, TRX are also good options if you are an altcoin lover

For fifth coin you should consider icon, neo, waves, vechain, matic, atom, nano or reserve rights because all these are legit and have potential to grow.
I definitely choose bitcoin as a long term investment bitcoin is a guaranteed coin even though the price is too expensive at least the increase will occur again when real bull run comes
Bitcoin always remain the unbeatable beast coin, its very rare to see bitcoin plunge like this shitcoins. Although, they are good for immense gains, I will not deny that fact but the damage of altcoin can ruin your portfolio and your future in this business. I prefer adding Alts like ETH and small portion of Link
Since many have already written about Bitcoin and Ethereum, I will probably add 5 coins besides the two listed. My favorites are QuarkChain, Ontology, Keep Network, Zilliqa and Elrond.

Holding new digital coin for a long term is not a good idea for me because mostly it crash and not stay in crypto market. Much better if you convert your earnings from this coin to eth or btc which have a great future because it was already trusted,tested and famous in all digital cryptocurrency. Bitcoin and ethereum is always my choice then i add xrp and bnb that i think has a possibility to grow in a near future.

I see these projects doing bounty, so I think you've joined them and get some money to hold. Honestly I don't believe in these projects, it can grow in the short term but in the long term I think it will crash because they are the normal altcoins in this market, and we have thousands of altcoins like that Idena (idna)

could you provide more details on these five, i have heard for Idena, actually mining it on my computer, but for these others have never heard, some websites or coingecko links would be useful
since the altcoin season begin, there have been a lot shift in position of traders especially the old traders in their fractions of altcoins in their portfolio. They are trying new coins from Defi and other attractive fundamentals with possibility of 100x price value increase into coming month. I follow very clear minded crypto maximalist on twitter, not the bitcoin maximalist alone (I dont trust most of the bitcoin maximalists except Adam Back). Most of them are reducing their stake in bitcoin to acquire more altcoins
Suprised to see so few saying that they hold SNX (Synthetix) It has already made an impressive gain since may.
