Over the past one year, Theta had been doing a great performance instead of bear market as it pumped more than 4x back in March 2020 when team launched the mainnet for the first time. But crazy thing about Theta team is that they always postponed their launching dates of any major event. Just like previous events, team has already postponed the launching date of mainnet 3.0 and it'll be done in June instead of April. So, it'll might take a little correction if big hodlers try to profit out, IMHO. But, it's good for the long term.

Why even invest in ADA and uniswap. Those altcoins are kinda very risky to invest in. If the uniswap trend dies, the chances of the price to get dumped is very very high. The best way to invest for long term with less risk is to put like more than half of your investment in bitcoin and rest in some very well established and well known altcoins like Ethereum. Keep like 5% of your money to invest in risky unknown and new altcoins.

Just I would be very careful investing in any kind of defi right now. Just remember that to put in into a pool you need 4 transactions (to swap two pairs and then to trade in both pairs to get your liquidity pool tokens). That will cost you about $100 even if you choose very very low gas fees right now! Normal fees for almost instant will cost you even $250 or more!

Rather than buying Uniswap's coin UNI you should buy something useful in Uniswap. It's already in Top 10 coins list so you can't make much money with UNI.
You can try your chance with NFT gaming projects such as AnrkeyX. You can buy ANRX in Uniswap. There are other legit and undiscovered coins too, you should dig deeper.

I actually found myself in the same situation as op a while ago and spent many hours doing my research. My choice was the following: devote a large part of the budget to two solid alts (I had bet on Dot and Link) and the rest divided into several much more speculative projects. I quite like this distribution, solid projects ensuring a minimum of risk.

If I had to do the same thing again today I would bet again on Link which has not demonstrated its full potential (far from it Wink

).

5k $ is a pretty big amount and quite a big risk to invest all 5k $ in a currency.
I think you should split the $ 5k and invest in a few big projects in the current market.
50% invested in BTC
25% invested in ETH
25% invested in BNB

Except now there are just SO many competitors that people are moving to. And unlike Bitcoin there are no loyal users in Defi, they're migrating to Polka or using 1inch or just pushing on to completely centralized platforms like Binance Smart Chain. I find it crazy the prices of their coins are so high now!
