It is actually very difficult to say which cryptocurrency is the best for an investment or best to buy.It is wise not to only invest in one cryptocurrency, but to diversify so your winnings can make up for your loses.You need to diversify and do your homework researching the team behind the cryptocurrency and what is special about it. You certainly don’t want to invest in something that is just there to speculate and don’t offer something different like technical improvements over another coin.In my opinion aside from bitcoin and ethereum,you should consider investing or buy Litecoin,NEM and ripple.That most likely I can suggest for you.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I think this is the best chance to bought BTC or is it just me? Didn't see any good altcoins at this time so I rather put it in BTC.
Of course everyone would say bitcoin is the best coin to buy today but for me, I think you should decide for yourself on which coin you think would be best to buy today. I think BTC is still the best. Other altcoins will of course try to beat BTC, that is normal because it is all bout money here.
buy bitcoin is still the best things that we can do because the price is up and down so we can try to buy at lower price. but if you can find any altcoin that will go to increase later, then you are lucky and I hope that you can make a lot of profit. I will choose bitcoin and eth because both coins are very stable and promising for short and long term. and I will invest 70% to bitcoin and 30% to eth because these two coins have great potential in the future. so I would prefer to hold both these coins for both long and short term. You will be confused by the number of altcoins that are scattered now, very different from the previous years. Just look at coinmarketcap, so you can see what coin is convincing to you invest.
Which is why the best coin to invest in if you are a newbie is bitcoin, yes it is expensive and it is the most common advice but with the huge amount of coins out there it can be really confusing for a newbie to understand which coin should he buy under the current conditions of the market but a good coin to buy no matter what happens is bitcoin.

I don't think OP will buy any crypto-currency. He asked the question and ran away. I don't think he has any money to invest too. People still reply to OP though, it has 16 pages of replies. Everybody say coin names in their portfolio. You can't find the best coin like that. You should look out for independent analysis posts. Every investor is also speculator at some level here. I always make my own decisions. I hold NEO and find it too cheap today. If you want to buy NEO please make your own research first. Just because I hold NEO doesn't mean it's the best option for you.
Now a lot of good coins are on the bottom. And this is the best time to buy. Today I bought BTS, BRD and TNT and I think that I made the right choice. They actively develop and it seems to me that this year we will see a good growth.
