Ethereum is having a more stable market value so choosing it over Bitcoin would result to less risky investment. On the other hand, Bitcoin is having a higher rate of increase during pumps, making it more profitable but yet, more risky. So it would depend on the what the investors prefer.

The rewards will actually be handsome if you have the resources to invest in both coins as they both established projects and have the potentials to increase in price astronomically just like we saw in the bull run of 2017.

Invest on both coins but I won't do equal portion. Probably 70% for bitcoin and 30% for ETH or 60/40 or 80/20.

with the current market situation, now is not the time to tell someone on which coin to invest, because we are in bear market, now is the time we need to do our own research and to find a convincing project we can invest on.

The advantage of the etherium over bitcoin is the ability to use smart contracts. These are contracts that occur automatically without human intervention, when the conditions for them are met and the time of execution is appropriate. 
I think that you should invest in bitcoin. Look at it, bitcoin is the best coin in the market which means that bitcoin is the coin that is least likely to die out sooner. You have the bulk of the investors in bitcoin which will always ensure that bitcoin has more value than all of the other coins in the market. You are safer with bitcoin if you ask me.

I think Bitcoin and Ethereum will be great investment, but how about Cardano (ADA) ? Take a look Cardano (ADA) is already using Blockchain 3rd generation which is better from past generation.
Both are fundementally good, they have lots of projects, investments and of their market's revenue is still growing. I prefer to invest in both currency if i have the funds you just need to set some threshold on how much will you invest in both eth and btc to properly allocate your money this two coins are promising in my own opinion.

I would invest in both. Bitcoin and Ethereum are relatively distinct. Whereas Bitcoin is more of a digital gold and a medium of payment, Ethereum has a few nifty features that give it an edge over its predecessor in some key areas.

It depends on your goals — do you want to invest for preserving your money in the first place? Do you hope for big profits in the long-term? Then Bitcoin should be considered, despite some believing that it reached its oversaturation.

I think both are good investments but considering the market dominance of bitcoin and the fact that it is continuously increasing it is a wise investment to place your bets on bitcoin rather than on Ethereum but if you are investing in altcoins only then yes Ethereum is the best choice.
For me eth because its proven that when its value go down it will double the price when it will goin up.And the ethereum is not too expensive to invest than bitcoin.You can buy more eth now and stock until december then you will have your huge profit if ever that time will come.
Although Bitcoin is very good, but it is currently a very high price, you need to invest a lot of money in order to have a great profit, ETH is much cheaper than the comparison, I suggest you still ETH!
Eth. Especially during dips since ethereum has a habit of falling a lot and then increasing to double it's price that it fell to when the prices start recovering. Since it is the coin that mostly follows the price of bitcoin, once you see the price of bitcoing going up, then you can be sure that the price of ethereum has gone up too.

I think bitcoin is more promising for an investment, because bitcoin is a pioneer and already a lot of great people who invest there. I advise to invest in a very dip value position.
