If you are still having confusion whether which of the two said cryptos you will be investing with I suggest you split your funds to both of ethereum and bitcoin so you on that we I think its a win-win situation for you especially that both of this top ranked cryptos are having a bullish run.

What do people think? Is it better to invest, say, 100 dollars in ether or bitcoin?
Altcoins are following the Bitcoin surge, which means Bitcoin takes the lead. Altcoins are just pumping as Bitcoin. Bitcoin is on correction time when some altcoins are making bubbles. We can predict that Bitcoin will cross 50k soon, but then Ethereum and altcoins will pump. Now Bitcoin is safer than Ethereum blockchain.

You mentioned the first and second top coins of cryptocurrencies which is bitcoin and ethereum for me both are good investment. Why not diversify your  100 $ 50% to bitcoin and 50% to ethereum and hold it for long term like 5 to 10 years. There is a saying dont put your all eggs in one basket because if one fail then you have hope to another one.

I think anyone that is seriously into crypto would never consider splitting it half/half like this. Always Bitcoin first and foremost, the majority of holdings, and then ETH and other alts a small proportion. Unless of course, you are a developer and you actually build and use things on top of ETH (or other smart contract platforms).

If you want to buy between both Bitcoin and Ethereum I would suggest you go with Ethereum but some people will prioritize bitcoin only. In the end, it's totally up to you which one you would like to buy. Apart from this, I would also suggest you check the top 20 cheap good potential coins that can give you more return with a small investment in my opinion because the transaction fee of BTC and Eth is quite higher if you buy and sell only worth 100$ coin.

I would choose both, maybe with a ratio of 75% BTC and 25% ETH or 50:50. It would be better if we divide the investment, to avoid big losses (when the price goes down) and can take profits when one of the investments has an increase in price.
Moreover, BTC and ETH are both good, both have their respective advantages and their market power is very strong.
So, only need to determine the right timing by doing in-depth analysis both fundamentally and technically, ah and need patience and mentally strong.
That's exactly what those big investment firms doing. Diversifying investment and bitcoin takes the major portion. I'd do that too considering bitcoin never disappoints and the market cap is big it's volatility might have been reduced. Thought in my opinion it just really depends on the person who invest whether he's trying to make some quick buck by investing big portion to ethereum or just steady but sure investment like bitcoin. Other than that can't really go wrong with both of them considering if not them then there's no better choice for crypto investment speaking from their market cap.

Some times, this might be a tough decision or choice to make when considering the fact that both of them are the best in their respective space, that is Ethereum is the best altcoin. Nevertheless, in order to consider which is a better option when faced with this type of choice, I think you will need to decide how long you intend to hold, if you want to go full long term, then I believe Bitcoin is the best, the reason is holding Bitcoin long term guarantees even more gain because more people are getting to understand the value it offers hence the price increase witnessed during the bull run, with even more in the future. On the other hand, if you want to go for short term, Bitcoin and Ethereum can still work but in this case, splitting the funds with a higher portion going to Bitcoin would be a better move.
Nevertheless, in my own opinion, I think holding or investing in both is a very good choice, 70/30 can be a good allocation with 70 going to Bitcoin and 30 for Ethereum.

if with a capital of 100 $ I think you better invest in etherium tokens because if there is enough to buy even though it's only 0.1 ETH and we'll see if it will go up to 2k $ then of course the profits will get bigger. Regarding bitcoin, I think it's lacking, but if you are willing to invest in the long term then it is not a problem because bitcoin every year makes a lot of people surprised by the price that is achieved.

Investing in both is best, however you only have $100 so investing in ETH is better. My thinking is ETH will be improvements in the future, the price will be better when fee is no longer an issue.
That should be the main reason why invest in ethereum is better than bitcoin at this moment. We will not only bet on the scalability problem that will be fixed soon but the hardcap supply for ethereum will be determined too. That will be a very good thing to see that consider the inflation will stop and no more miners can dump ethereum to the market again.
The only stakers will get a lot of advantages

Bitcoin and Ethereum are great and you can benefit from both, but if you want to start investing with a small amount of capital you should prefer Ethereum because the prices are still quite affordable.

Market is occupied by btc maximallists and i like to hold btc as well but to be honest im more bullish on eth and i think eth has more potentially especially if we analyse with respect to percentage gains but we have to wait to see what actually happens.
Bitcoin's value is too high for the little shrimp-like us. That's why altcoin could be the best target for the little shrimp to make some money from there.
Ethereum is a potential investment but it will not give another good ROI like when we are betting into the coins that are still below ethereum MCAP.
People should try to think about alternative coins.

both are very good for now. thinking of the best is not the solution, but choosing both is the best. however, personally, I would prefer ethereum, but for now, the bitcoin involved is always more dominating than the rest. Well, it all depends on your decision, but if you can both, then think again.

If that's only $100, put it on bitcoin until you will have more than a thousand. That's just my strategy and idea for the newbies who would like to invest in cryptocurrencies.
But if you can't avail that then at least put your investments mostly in bitcoin before getting into Ethereum. It's still your choice but most will say that bitcoin first then Ethereum next.

I don't understand why people still ask this question which is better or which one will give you better return. I believe Ethereum will give better return this year because of its Ethereum 2.0 scaling solution, for now Bitcoin do not have anything new upgrade coming but will keep its number one position for long term

To be honest both are good coin but if you want single one then btc even if you want invest then best time now for eth. I hope you won't loss your assets so make be sure invest in eth because there has been more chance for price up in the future. Basically I would invest best coins in best time so it's really your time.

$100 wont really be that much of a significant amount to invest on and you do aim for some profits. Well, its up to you but when you do go for long term then BTC would do
but if you do like alts then ETH will be a good option too. We shouldnt talk about which one is better because when it comes to investment there would be
no guarantee on who would really fly up with colors but its quite evident and clear to our very own eyes that nothing beats out the king which is BTC.

It doesnt matter on which one you would choose as long you do know the risk on investing with crypto. What matter most here is on to make profit but
out of that 100 bucks then dont really expect too much.

Unless if you do make out some active trades with that then it is much more worth than on just simply holding and gaining some peanuts.

Bitcoin and ethereum are good coins to invest in. So this is you who can decide for yourself. But  to  get into this  investment
make sure the price is not at the top. both investing in bitcoin and in ethereum. Be a little patient to wait for the price to drop.
Now that both bitcoin and eteherum are correcting their prices, before  they go up again, be able  to set a target for purchase.

What do people think?

What about a mix of the two?
Being able to predict new cryptocurrency investment dynamics is a key skill for any trader, but it's a tough job, especially for beginners. Bitcoin's rapid gains have caused a sharp criticism, but many investors agree that it is better suited for long-term investment due to its high market demand. On the other hand, the established presence and success of Ethereum during 2017 and 2018, combined with the fact that its popularity continues to grow and the greater and greater industry acceptance , continues to give Ethereum the edge. In addition, the switch to Ethereum 2.0 has generated a lot of hype.

To conclude, both bitcoin and ether are likely to be used in the future. I think it applies today as much as it did a few years ago.

if we talk about features, i think ethereum is better than bitcoin my friend,,
but if we talk about market cap and volume, for sure bitcoin is the best
for me its better to split your capital for both cryptocurrency, so $50 in eth then another $50 in bitcoin
