I have read quite a bit on bitcoin, registered user of bitcoin-otc (with the same name as this). I would like to participate in the marketplace to buy my first bitcoin to further experiment. I have been a lurker here for a while so I understand how things are. Would like to get out of here fast.

ok , new more serious whitelist request.

I'm having a problem with intersango , they are more or less ignoring me and i would like to put a bit of pressure on them by posting in the official intersango thread , instead of here.

Thanks

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Hi there,

I've been mining for about a week at around 5.6GHash/s and I have ordered 2 ASIC units, one from BFL and one from btcfpga.

I have a lot of questions and I have also learned a lot in the last week.  Browsing the forums I think I could answer a lot of the questions people are asking and contribute significantly to the community.

That is why I am requesting whitelisting.

Hello all,

I was lurking the forums for a few weeks before I finally signed up. I started mining a year ago, took a break, and then just got back into it after receiving some bitcoins from trading digital items (TF2). I'd like to be able to post in the other forums, if you'd permit it. I'm primarily buying with bitcoins, now that I have a steady stream.

Thank you for your consideration.

I poured over Bitcoin tutorials, debates and 'case studies' if you will that pointed out little details you'd never think of like your wallet.dat file that can be copied and exploited to gain fraudulent access.

Now I get home today and want some Bitcoins! I found my old AlertPay (now Payza) account details so I'm hoping that will fly instead of PayPal for the time being. Tomorrow, we hike for Mt. Gox. (ie. I check Bank of America for my Dwolla deposits.)

Hello,

My name is Sanjay. I am a Newbie on Bitcoin Forum. Just a couple days ago, I launched a simple, fun game called Kingcoin (at http://kingco.in). I'd like to share my game with the bitcoin community and ask for feedback. My post to r/bitcoin a couple nights ago was received positively. I'd like, please, to request an early graduation from Newbie status.

Hi, I need to buy BT in Marketplace, but I can't send a PM or reply in topics. Do I really need to wait 5 hours just to arrange purchase of BT?

P.s.: Does Mods even look into this treads? Feels like a "increase a mesage tops".

Hi!

I'm doing a thesis about Bitcoin, so I'd like to get a full access to this forum. I'm doing a survey/quantitative questionnaire, so I think that some else than "newbie" section would be a better place to start a new topic about it (please advice which one, if I get whitelisted). I've been using Bitcoin for a year now, maybe a little bit more. I have almost written the theory part of my thesis, so I'm down to writing the research part, but I can't do it without getting my questionnaire done. Getting me whitelisted would really help, thank you.

Hello, I would like to be able to post outside of the newbie area. Have been lurking around for a long time learning about current events and the past of btc.

To provide proof I have been doing my reading, Inaba is a total jerk, block halving is coming up, ASICs are going to replace FPGAs/GPUs, and GPUMax and GLBSE looks like a good investment! ;P

edit: made a post here helping out someone, explaining things clearly, should prove I know enough.

Hi,

please whitelist me. I dont know why I havnt already met the 4 hours restriction. I visit this forum multiple times per day, because i hold a significant amount of ASICMINER shares. Needless to say I own Bitcoins and have gained expirience with it in the last year or so. With the brakdown of glbse I even more have to rely on the ASICMINER thread in this forum AND I want to be able to post there.

Thanks!

I know a lot more about bitcoin than the average member. I studied computer networking, security, and programming. I've done > 8 hours of reading on bitcoin, exchanges, etc. and have traded over $200 of bitcoin via MoneyGram (bitinstant) and VirWox in Second Life. I am familiar with several clients and online wallet services (such as Electrum and Blockchain, the two I use). I am also familiar with setting up an account on Mt. Gox and Dwolla.

Hey, I use this site just for currency trading and I have 9 hours logged in.  I only have 1 post because I needed to pm people.  Now I got scammed for $1200, the most I've ever traded and a big chunk of all my money, so now I want to be a full member so I can see if there's anything I can do.  This is the last pm this guy sent me.

Hey I sent you 600 because....I'm a little paranoid, but I still have 650 left after that if everything goes ok and you want it.

I'd rather have the full amount at once sir. Mtgox limits accounts for sending multiply transactions too fast. I assure you will get the full amount in a voucher. I do not play around here man and multiply people can verify that.

Yup, everything as expected. As he said, the back wasn't even rubbed off. In addition Jermainé included the receipt which makes the transaction even more trustworthy. A++

Thanks, -Jermainé

Hey there, my name is Jebe, I have been lurking for many weeks.

In the past months I have conducted several transactions with bitcoin, and have been educating myself regarding cryptography, anonymity, bitcoins, and other related subjects.

I created my bitcointalk.org account today because I saw a post that prompted me to want to enter my role as an active participating member of the community.

For my first contribution, I would like to reply to this topic https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/seo-for-btc-what-would-be-needed-for-bitcoin-to-appear-in-top-result-for-btc-119100 by pointing out that Google's currency conversion service is provided by Citibank (as documented here https://www.google.com/intl/en/help/currency_disclaimer.html). I'm not sure exactly what implications this might have regarding the incorporation of BTC into Google, but I thought this might prompt some discussion. Perhaps Google is able to offer instant USD/BTC conversion rates as a seperate service, but I doubt that Citibank would approve.

I would make some posts in the Newbie section (and will if this request goes unanswered) but I would love to jump right in and this topic is the one that got me motivated to go through the motions of creating a profile.

Thank you for your consideration.

i would like to be whitelisted please. i have a business proposal which could benefit many users in england.

due to many exchanges no longer accepting or never had easily accepted UK pounds for bitcoins i want to start up a similar scheme to bitinstant but for the UK market.

and now i will copy and paste an earlier post to save re-writing it.

hi there i am from England and i am on a mission to open a UK payment gateway, with very similar services that bitinstant offer. UK currency to bitcoin at reasonable rates and also withdrawl to prepaid visa debit cards so that people and merchants can easily accept crypto-currency, while still having standard UK pounds to hand.

i have already listed my project on BTCJam and looking to get started soon. which is linked here.
https://btcjam.com/listings/166 here is the proposal.

first stage is getting the bank transfers into BTC rolling. i already have a business bank account prepped. just need the customers and the first 150BTC to use for customers. which i then use their funds to purchase new coins. and rinse and repeat into profit and repaying the loan. once i have repaid the loan i become more self sufficient and expand my holdings and then once i have a sufficient stash of both BTC and UK pounds i can then offer to give the UK pounds back via pre-paid debit cards in exchange for BTC.

Thus not requiring outside exchanges as one person cashing out gives me their BTC which will then fund someone else cashing in.

eventually getting fee's down to minimal percentage far lower then other operators offer.

my other agenda is to get merchants and real world businesses offering legitimate products to use my service so that i can increase the bitcoin population in England.
