...I dream of the day when alt coins are not tied to the price of bitcoin. Uhg...

It is possible that this will happen sometime. And when that day comes, what will it change for you? I believe that there is no problem for a trader that the price of altcoins is correlated with the price of bitcoin. This makes it possible to predict the price movement of altcoins by observing the price of BTC.
I do agree on this it's an advantage if both bitcoin and altcoins do correlate in prices and I think it only happens during bull run but sometimes it moves the other way around. This market is so unpredictable even the market fluctuation is impossible to predict precisely.

Only whales can manage to manipulate the market so easily but we have to be ready in case this will going to happen. Doing some TA will help to determine what would be the market's next move.

It is unreality that altcoins are not tied to the price of BTC, let us assume if one day the price of altcoins have nothing to do with BTC, it may be the end of BTC and the end of the crypto market.
When bad news comes out, it's always causing panic, and people sell one by one natually and i think most of them are newbie.

I think they are not so tied up as before! It's all about the pairs on the market... before Bitcoin was the only pair for many alts, now you can trade alt/stable coin pairs!
Reality is one, crypto is a free market! Anyone can choose to buy or sell at any price... whale or a small-time holder/trader, and according to buy/sell orders of the certain pair you can see the market move!
Someone said a long time ago  "do the opposite from what masses do and you will harvest profit all the time"! Don't panic when others do that, use that for your own advantage!

I can't blame them and it was not surprising that most of them suffer such feelings as they are not really prepared for the market crash. Because what they think first it makes a profit, they always think that price will keep moving high, it wasn't in their mind to think about a market crash. Many are selling for the sake to save their funds, and it wasn't right for me.
I do blame them because at the end of the day if you think that you are going to keep making profit then you are going to end up being upset as well. I personally make my decisions based on either direction, it could go up or it could go down but I want to be involved and that is why I buy in installments once a week and that way I end up with an average price, I did buy at 58k at highest and I bought at 6.5k at lowest, that is why I am not worried because I know I will keep doing this for a very long time and I have no plan on quitting anytime soon.

It is not that I do not think prices will not go up, I know that it will go up, I just feel like it is not going to go up at all times, it may go up or down so I need to be prepared for something like that. If you feel the same way then just be ready, if they thought that they could profit constantly then they were wrong and they are to blame.

Like I get the markets move but is this big wallets, ancient wallets? Who is actually selling? Normie noobs who just got in the market and are spooked by comments?

I dream of the day when alt coins are not tied to the price of bitcoin. Uhg...
Altcoins aren't tied to bitcoin actually , but of course investors are relying on bitcoin price to add investment to their altcoin targets.

But about those selling? everyone does mate, only strong holder like me keeps the coins inside our possession .
Selling depends when you bought and what's your goal when to sell. It's not so easy to be buy and sell.
hi friend, it's not difficult to sell bitcoin in the market, you can buy and sell in the market,
why should it be difficult?, I really understand because not everyone can do analysis,
and always rely on fomo and fud, of course if it's done continuously then your capital can run out easily

For sure, newbies are scared when the market goes down. So it wouldn’t be a surprise to me that a lot of them sold their coins when they saw the market crash. But another thing to look at is the trigger for this action.

A lot of things might have happened to trigger the sale. We have seen people like Elon Musk and the ways they have always tried to manipulate the market with their words. But I don’t look at all these things because I feel like they are meant to happen. The market won’t rise forever, no matter what, there is always going to be a time when it will go down. That’s is it for me.

This gonna be a lesson to learn for newbies, We must not be confident with the market and never, never underestimate the word volatility.

But this is already happening. There are certain exchanges that don't pair tokens with Bitcoin. Those days when I used to trade on Idex (a Dex kind of), tokens were paired with ETH. So, it's not as if it hasn't happened before. Even on some Cex, there are still tokens which aren't paired with BTC. Some have pairs in tether.

I agree with you on this. It's pretty difficult for traders especially in the spot to make money in these times because along with bitcoin almost every coin is falling miserably. There is no coin that you can find in an uptrend. For people who can trade in futures, they still make money using some shorting but people in spot can't really do this. But I don't think this market phenomenon would ever change now, because bitcoin is the most dominant cryptocurrency, this is only possible if the dominance of bitcoin goes much below 20% or basically we get two three different coins which are almost equal in terms of the market cap because only then bitcoin would not be seen as a barometer for market. Until then this phenomenon would continue. Rules of markets once made aren't easy to mend. This has become a customary rule of this market for quite some time now I really doubt it could ever change.
It might hard for the traders but you can never change that but instead, traders must have to adopt the system. If they can't, they are not supposed to be here in the first place. I'd never heard old traders had complained, I think they are much happy with the situation and it is for the newcomer to adjust themselves, otherwise.

We cannot put crypto into our hands, Which I think many had wanted to do for their own benefit. because this could never be happening.

When bad news comes out, it's always causing panic, and people sell one by one natually and i think most of them are newbie.
But this is now not a peculiarity of the crypto market. Just look at what happened to the stock markets around the presidential election in America. News that Trump might win has affected the entire market - not just in the US! - an drew prices down, news about Biden's victory, on the other hand, had a very positive effect.

So news affects markets in general, not just in crypto. What is very characteristic here, however, is BTC as the lead currency, which is something I don't know from the stock or bond market at all.

What exactly you supposed to mean?
Are you asking if the exchanges are big wallets or ancient wallets?

Yes

And that's probably the day 99.9% of them die.

Really how come? Ones like Vechain have real world use! They should be priced in dollars or Yuan or whatever. Like stocks.

Imagine if all stocks were tied to the price of Apple stock just because Apple is the largest? So when Apple moved up or down, the rest of the market follows in a similar manner, even though many stocks have no relation to Apple?

I do acknowledge most altcoins are shit coins but that doesn't mean they all are. People who think that probably haven't actually looked at Vechains fundamentals. I think it's the most undervalued coin out there. When it takes off and people realize how useful it's gonna be, it should blast off one day.... hopefully. Long as China makes them an exemption to their crypto ban.

It never comes for sure. The Altcoins movement is somewhat the response to Bitcoin's trend, it is unlikely to see that altcoins will have their own agenda and run in the other way but it goes along with the same direction.

Well, I do respect that news either fake or not, whether we like it or not, it has a huge market influence and this could never be changed.
If these people got affected and sell their coins? That is their choice, we don't need to stop otherwise, you will be the one to blame. Think that they are doing the things that they feel was right. If they were right or wrong, that is their problem, not ours.

Who doesn't? A stand alone coin that is not reacting whenever Bitcoin or Ethereum moves. It's difficult to find and I guess its glued with that reality.
It's not even easy to find reasons why. They have their own market so why the heck are they moving if it's not tied with anything.

I see some NFT coins looking like that today. They don't move much whenever a dump or pump happens with top coins.
But those are NFT's, and associated with it is danger of losing funds or let's just say a high risk investment.

Buying or selling of a coin depends on the coin’s marketcap.
If the coin is not so popular or new, then you will see slow movement in buying or selling.
If the coin is popular and marketcap is high, then huge amount of trades will be going on.
And yes these are made by people and traders only, no big wallets move the markets.
Some wanted to buy at current price whereas some has bought it in a lesser price who sells now.
Numbers dont lie and you can directly tell on which one is on demand and which one is just having those temporary pumps and liquidity.
When it comes to the question on whose selling then this question is something cant be precisely tell on who but you can tell that
lots had been selling when the market is declining and also only the best projects that does have demand will definitely survive and the
rest will simply just die down and be forgotten. Remember that this wont be called a market if there were no sellers and buyers in the first place

I don't get exactly get what you are trying to emphasize here, but there is one thing I am pretty sure that altcoins has a big
help to me for a couple years already now into my life, without this I cannot support all the expenses I have now, but that's not what happen
instead, through altcoins I can support my own family because I can sell anytime I want.
Well, you are lucky and your patience got paid off. But I think, all of us are benefiting from the previous ATH, hunters had a huge profit from their altcoins and I can't really imagine seeing many shitcoins just pump for no reason during that time. Honestly, I have some and sell them immediately when I notice they already have a value after waiting for several years.
the right time to sell altcoins is a momentum that must be used properly, if we are a little late, then a dump event can occur right away. therefore lucky you can take advantage of that time, so you don't regret it when the altcoin dumps right away
