Everyone who panics is selling.

I think it is fair to say that the big investors (who initiated the dump) have long taken their profits, and only now buying in at bargain prices. The rest is up to the individual with a few hundreds or so worth of investing now thinking it is time to sell because they can't stand any more loss. It is these guys who panic sell, playing in the hands of the manipulators.

Like I get the markets move but is this big wallets, ancient wallets? Who is actually selling? Normie noobs who just got in the market and are spooked by comments?

I dream of the day when alt coins are not tied to the price of bitcoin. Uhg...
no need to ask about who is selling!, of course those who sell Bitcoin in large quantities are whales,
and whales are the cause of the Bitcoin dump, followed by traders all over the world because many people followed it in panic selling,
it's a pity, but this is the truth.

Everyone who panics is selling.

Every day we get to see people selling from time to time so why ask who is selling at this point? because everyone who panics is selling and there's no need to be curious about it.

If alts won't be tied with bitcoin, then most of the alts will be left behind if they won't be attached to bitcoin anymore.

You need to plan everything right from the beginning. A lot of people are forced to sell, when they need cash to cover their expenses such as rent, utility bills or even medical expenses. This situation has occurred to me as well. Back in 2014-15 I was without a full time job, and had to sell some of my coins to survive. And unfortunately for me, BTC exchange rates were at rock bottom during that time. I sold my coins for $200-250, and two years later the the exchange rate had gone up to $20,000. I could have sold some of my other assets, but back then BTC was like 80% of my portfolio, so selling the coins looked like the most logical thing to do.

With that reference, always all Alts  are born and with that relation until his death ... as a projects, I think they should appreciate it.

Who is selling? It is the supply and the demand, both are needed is pure economy, it works with any type of asset or thing that has value.

Agreed.. However, lately Alt coin has become independent, when the price of bitcoin correction they partly do not follow the correction,, I hope so.. The price of Alt coin hopefully doesn't see the bitcoin barometer, which if the price goes down the alt coin will fall sharply... very annoying like that.

Some day this will happen , but if when? no one knows until the cap of bitcoin has been mined then the market will change its way and maybe altcoin will have their own actions also.
This is very possible once that altcoin will surpass the market cap of Bitcoin. We all know why most altcoins are correlated with Bitcoin because Bitcoin itself is the king and the market cap of Bitcoin is the proof.
The Bitcoin dominance is still high for me, that's why, the more Bitcoin Dominance is increasing, the more altcoins are getting rekt.
Of course now is is it possible that any altcoin is able to surpass the market cap of bitcoin? obviously the bitcoin market cap is very high, if you look at the closest one, namely ethereum, we know the difference that occurs is 20 times.

every time ethereum increases obviously because bitcoin also increases, so that difference will be difficult to catch even though it is possible. because we know dicrypto nothing is impossible, but when it can happen. we know that ethereum is still having problems with high costs, so that problem must be solved first before thinking about being able to catch up with the market cap difference.

Well not all alt coins are tied to price of Bitcoin, obviously stablecoins are one but I wouldn't count them.
Who are selling, you ask? Either of the two.

They could be the weak holders. Not everyone is confident enough that the price of Bitcoin will obviously get back up soon. Just accept that these people exist.
Another one are those who are in need of money. You can't blame them.

Yes many of us waiting for that day when altcoins get fully independent of bitcoin because there are some potential altcoins who have their own fundamentals that does not depend on bitcoin...but this is the reality today that bitcoin takes other coins up and down along with it.
independent from bitcoin you meant altcoins can run own way without influence of bitcoin?
what kind of those coins fundamental those can survive any effect of btc market?
i see altcoins market always will affect after btc up and down situation
i guess it wasnt the fault of btc on why altcoins fell down because even the greatest and independent altcoins like eth do also fell down too but that could only be caused by a crypto bear market .
when theres a bear , all cryptos will go down .
for the question of who is selling , all newbies and long time hodlers do sell and both can contribute in the fall of the price .

Wallets cannot be use to know who owns it so basically we can't just get the answer if who is selling.
and besides let them sell while we are buying right?

The shorts have been activated, does that mean they are being sold, for what or why? It is not known, there may be many weak hands selling, they may be Trump supporters, or perhaps it is the entrance of some whale to the market, and the best way to buy in BTC is to buy cheap. Millionaires always buy cheap, of course they currently exist. the exceptions, but generally speaking I think it's because of the huge FUD.

Also, the sales that have been made thanks to the leveraged shorts have been very well taken advantage of by those who buy in the fall, although it is a way to buy cheaper btc, those who sell honestly are not aware of the potential of BTC.

Here the Shorts, and they have not yet closed, this means that sales can continue to occur, although this enters the field of speculation, it is always good to support what has been said with the charts.

Might not really correlated from time to time but in most cases where Bitcoin price or market would be the main trend creator on when the times where bitcoin is bearish then its clear as day that majority of alts would really be doing the same except for some coins but eventually theyve been dragged on with the current trend and its inevitable on the time where everybody is already in doubts on a bearish market.

Asking out on whos selling? It doesnt matter if those are simply those noobs or whales out there because we do have our right to do so since its our money and it doesnt rely nor depend on how knowledgeable we are into this market or being popular because we do have the same target or goal
which is to secure out profits.

I dream of a day when Bitcoin listing on crypto exchanges will have to be paid for like it is a case with all those other shitcoins. Ugh...
Paid for by who or whom, I wonder as in the case of bitcoin.

Well, the market is designed to work in a certain way and this is very exemplary in the altcoin markets. Where coins or tokens can be farmed to provide liquidity. Bitcoj might have past that stage but then, there would always be a buy and sell option in the market no matter how much the market dumps or appreciates. People will always have reasons to sell and traders are always there to make the most of every situation.

No matter how worst it gets, should you not have an unavoidable reason to sell at a low or high, just don't. It won't be worth it on the long run. Sadly, the long run is for hodlers.

Those  who are in needs of money so they need to sell their crypto to get some cash,
Those who already lost some money and wanted to cut loss or some who already had enough and wanted to quit on crypto.
Those who are easily manipulated by the FUD or those who some refer as weak hands.
We all sell crypto for a reason and for sure you are aware of it,
You don't expect everyone who invested on it that they would just hold it forever do you?
Because you're also an investor and you should know that you would also sell your investment when needed or you reach your goal.

People that are new. People that hasn't experienced a crash before. And then there are people that were holding for years, but didn't sell during ATH and selling now because they are scared. In other words, panic selling because they think the price is going to drop more and won't recover. Its better that this is happening. The more this happens, the more the people will be aware of such situations. The less we will see this kind of panic selling in the future. Unfortunately, I doubt your dream will come true. Price of altcoins will always be tied to bitcoin.

Not me, i think bitcoin price can move a lot because whales with their reasons and people who panic and then sell their assets. I said with their reasons because only they who know why they sell their coins, if because of panic, i not think whales will do that.

This is because of some weak hands that remain silent during the hard fall of bitcoin and now for sure they are tired waiting for recovery since the panick selling ended in the market.. Unfortunately there's no a good news until now so probably they concede the situation wherein no potential to regain those lost and decided to quit instead before it getting worse.. Lol see what's happening right now it's totally not fine..

But the matter of fact is whom would the crypto exchanges pay to list bitcoin ?

Now that's the advantage of Decentralization. Those exchanges can list bitcoin without any approval from any authority.  Grin
