In altcoins, there is no alternative for ethereum. Ethereum is the king of all the altcoins. It is leading altcoin to grow big. Litecoin still not much popular like ethereum. Ethereum has great potential than litecoin also.
I don't know the reason why you think LTC is the king of altcoin

Ethereum was the main useful altcoins in this field industry. This is most often being used for the new ico project in crypto currency.
It is already popular in the entire world too, lots of merchants too adopted Eth as their mode of payment aside from Bitcoin. Though, there are some altcoins in the market on which are much more higher than eth, but in terms building community here Ethereum was the one who prevails among of them.
I would consider Ethereum/XRP for now
EOS/TRON/ADA and others are just too new to consider "king"

The question about who is the king of altcoins is very dicey because every blockchain has its uniqueness, however i love the EOS blockchain because of its proposed scalability and security features

From Ethereum and Litecoin I think it's Ethereum. It's not only because of the price. There are many many Ethereum users than litecoin. many new projects directly accept Ethereum than LTC. Ethereum became everyday use coin. But the other fact is all of these ETH and LTC ane other altcoin prices depend on BTC price. In that case, BTC is the king of all cryptocurrencies.

Yes, because of ICO's users need ethereum for token transaction. Remove ICO's and ethereum price will go to zero because there won't be use for it.
