I think the most powerful politician is President Putin. We all heard news about how powerful he is right. I believe he just wants his country to be the best in terms of peace and order. He really puts his country first before himself.

Donald Trump. Leader of the world's only superpower, and while most other countries have a seperate head of state and government, the President is both, and some more.

From my own view  i think is the most powerful politicians because  Donald trump is a master manipulator,  he raised his political career by making false and damaging statements about Barak Obama

I think the most powerful politicians as of now are Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

Its usually the politicians who are the powerful ones, but rather the ones who financed their campaigns, those are the powerful people in politics, their will is what the presidents and other politicians follow for fear of backlash or whatever they may have on them.

The most powerful politician in the world as it stands now is Vladimir Putin. Putin's rising prominence, thanks to United States dwindling leadership on the world stage has become an issues of concern to most people across the world. The former KGB appears to be winning on all fronts. He allegedly meddled into USA elections and it is still an ongoing debate. The just concluded G20 meeting proves that Putin is now in control of the world stage.

He's powerful in his own country, but Turkey isn't a power that could pose a threat to the world.
In my understanding the most powerful politician is someone respected and feared all around the world, a bit like Putin. He even managed change his country's laws to be allowed to occupy the position for so long, so he used his position of power to extend his own rule and as a result give himself even more power, and nobody could stop him. Such thing would be normal in a dictatorship, but in a democracy it's terrifying. He's also one of the wealthiest people on the planet and made his wealth while being the president, which tells a lot about the way things are being done in Russia.

My vote goes to Vladimir Putin as well. I think his sphere of influence is not only in the European region, but globally as well. And if you are going to look at his political career, he became Prime Minister in 1999-2000. Then he became the President until 2008, then became Prime Minister again until 2012. He then went back to become the President which he held since 2012. I haven't seen any person hold so much grip on power as he is.

All Russian somehow believe in the influence of Vladimir Putin. This is not so. In fact, nothing depends on him. West is now squeezed him in her arms and overthrown by his own Russian oligarchs who have lost access to the money in the West.

You are totally right, the amount of negativity toward president Trump cirtulating through main communication channels and mainstream media is ridiculous.
He is probably the most hated politician by media - which are mostly controlled by left wing socialists.

Some of the biggest right now are all going to be part of the Majority Party, which is obviously in the United States going to be all Republican held things here. So the people are going to have to be Donald Trump (US President), Paul Ryan (Speaker of the House), Mitch McConnell (Senate Majority Leader) which are all highly influential people who are pretty much able to sway a ton in a country.

Maybe not on an individual scale when it comes to the members of congress, but if they're all to work together on something and can get their underlying behind it they can change a lot about a country. Pretty insane to think about if you really just think for a second.

Yes, aside from our Duterte my vote is for the NorKor leader, Kim Jung Un.  I just do not know anything about him but with all what the media reports it seems that he is quite something to be fear of as a leader.  The US is always watching the North Korea leader.  The world is always alarmed whenever the North Korea launches missiles even just to test it.  And if what you said is true that fancy haircut is mandatory for all men on their country, then yes, he is the most powerful.
