And why do you need a king? Today we have a huge list of crypto-currencies. Today BTC has global popularity, but this does not mean that it will always work. We are building a decentralized world.
I think that in the future there may be a coin that will surpass bitcoin.
Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?
I do not think that Bitcoin will give up its leadership position soon. Not likely to be so. It seems to me that the first two cryptocurrencies Ethereum and Bitcoin will remain in place.

I believe it will all take a lot of time, a project to make better coins than bitcoin or ethereum as both are the best crypto to this day.
Bitcoin will remain king and father of cryptocurrency, and ethereum will be the best coin alternative.
I do not think that any altcoin will beat bitcoin and ethereum in the near future. Both coins have much potentiality like its good technology, usage, strong team and they have won people's trust. So no coins will take over them. But in my opinion, talking about ethereum and bitcoin, ethereum will take over bitcoin in the future.
Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and it will never be replaced by others
I think for now bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency for this year, because bitcoin is the best and the bitcoin will be the king of cryptocurrency in the market
There will be no new king in the world of digital currency , it will always be the bitcoin being the king of cryptocurrencies. There are many altcoins that are in the market and they have their own specific characteristics to be called the next king of cryptocurrrency but that is not enough for them to take the place of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most influencial cryptocurrency and have the biggest profit that a holder can have.
Bitcoin will the king always i think. The queen and princess will nationals cryptocurrincies like cryptodollar, cryptofranc, cryptoruble etc.
I think the position will not change within the next few years, but in the long run, ETH might have a chance of replacing BTC to be the new King.
The new king will be the old king. No altcoin will ever overtake bitcoin in my opinion. If it ever happen this would mean that the whole new world is born and I cannot imagine this happening.
I think in the future Bitcoin will continue to be the king of the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin was born in the crypto market, all altcoins are affected by Bitcoin, and in the near future it is unlikely that any altcoin could replace Bitcoin. If Bitcoin is weakening, I believe that only Ethereum can replace Bitcoin.

I would like to look at it from another angle. The Blockchain space is divided into three; Wallet, Protocols and dapps. Right now, it seems like the protocols are wining such as Bitcoin and Ethereum but the Blockchain space is still in its infant stage so it is not easy to predict the king but i believe that each area will have its winners
There is only on king and that is bitcoin and it cannot be defeated by any coin because it has highest value in this market and top choice of every new crypto investor as every new investor knows this market through bitcoin popularity every where.

I think no currency can beat Bitcoin, because it's all about decentralize. What do you think about what Satoshi Nakamoto did after creating Bitcoin, why Satoshi is gone? I can guess it's to make Bitcoin totally decentralize, and until today there is no project greater than Bitcoin. Many people call theirself decentralize but actually don't, What a shame!
I think nobody will ever be able to replace bitcoin and ethereum too much and have lots of users, new coins will be very difficult to grow and compete with them
Bitcoin was forever a king among the crypto currency. I believe that this coin can bring us a good profit. No alternative coin will replace BTC.
Bitcoin has always been and will be the best coin of all ! For him the future and thanks to him opened new technologies !
I don't think there is a substitute for the main coin BITCOIN. If there is, it will take a long time. Even though there are some big coin names like ETH, BCH and other altcoin. But BTC remains the king of altcoin.
for the King I think will remain on bitcoin. Another altcoin I think there will be no could be the new King. Perhaps there will only be a high enough increase of some altcoin that does have potential as EOS, ripple, and the ethereum. but the increase will not be able to be the replacement as the new King.
