King will remain unchanged for the near-medium future: btc. Usually when btc goes down the value of most of the time other coins follows, because the majority of the exchange pairs are with btc. It is unlikely to profit with altcoins in these cases. It's not impossible if you wisely invest and you are sure about it. But for now the best option is still btc.
Why does everyone think that cryptocurrencies compete with each other...Yes, individual coins have a similar product and they compete.Only in synergy and partnership can cryptocurrency try to take its place as a new digital financial instrument.

It is hard to beat the bitcoin until now seems the price go down i am still believe that bitcoin was still the king of crypto currency industry, bitcoin has a great platform and blockchain technology here in crypto currency.
of course, there's no way other coins can beat bitcoin (for now).we cannot guess what will happen in the future. maybe there will be a coin that can replace it, but i think it will be very difficult and almost impossible to get a bitcoin position.
To be able to become a king from crypto is not easy and requires an instant process. Bitcoin itself is a coin that is very strong in maintaining its position and title. So that it is increasingly difficult for other coins to defeat him. Other coins or preferred altcoins and focus on being the king of altcoin, or replacing ETH, it might be easier or more logical to conquer it right.

There will be no surprise for me if Bitcoin remains the leader among the cryptocurrencies, to be honest, I don’t even imagine that any other cryptocurrency could take this place. Ethereum is now also not at all in the best position for this.

I think that none of the coins that we can see on the cryptocurrency market today will be able to replace Bitcoin. It is possible that within the next two years will create a new level of coin, which can really create a competition Bitcoin.

If bitcoin is ever dethroned i just hope it won't be ripple that does it. Rather than those bankers getting in and taking over crypto let us support ethereum and hope that at least it will become number 2 again

forever will be BTC. BTC will be king forever. The number of BTC is very small and precious. BTC is the mother coin and it controls the price of all altcoin and controls the whole of the crypto market.
Even if a million Cryptocurrencies with better technology are to emerge, let's not forget the important fact that bitcoin was the first to emerge and it would hold it's place at the top spot, atleast that is my opinion.
Well before we start asking about who would be the next king let's know which coin would survive this bear market situation and bounce back to what it use to and possibly surpass it
