Well for now, it is still bitcoin being the king of crypto market. It will be hard for eth to chase up although the spec and the tech of eth is far more advance than btc, but btc have a high face value, not easy to replace. It maybe take few years for eth to replace bitcoin. But who know that at the time will have another coins that is much more advance and better to replace both bitcoin and eth.
I have not seen a coin that will become the king of crypto next year. but bitcoin cash and ethereum have great potential to become kings in the future.
Bitcoin will be always the father, the king and the leader of cryptocurrency . Bitcoin still have greatest power than altcoin or ethereum, bitcoin have power for manage how altcoin price, many altcoin price depend on how bitcoin itself price . Still bitcoin is the great influenced of all crytocurrency as of this time. 
In near future, this is not going to happen I guess.

I think that in the near future the king will remain unchanged and this will be bitcoin. Now there is no crypto currency, which could compete with bitcoin.
From now bitcoin is really a main player in this market. It would be hard for other coins to compete.

Its too early to tell, but im pretty sure it wont happen for now.
Unfortunately, Bitcoin and Ethereum are two top coins that are in top list of coins with the highest value. Maybe after 5-8 years from now. The situation might change but for now. Its impossible to topple these 2 coins.

well, I don't think it can replace Bitcoin's position in cryptocurrency, because all encryption markets rely on Bitcoin 
I don't think there will be a new king. In my opinion, bitcoin will remain the king and it will be for a long time.
In my opinion BTC remains a king in crypto in the future like gold in metal market!
I do not think any technology will replace ETH, Bitcoin. Actually everything was originally derived from Bitcoin, and more people were aware of the Cryptocurrency world when Eth, Bch or Xrp appeared ... There will not be any new kings, all sub belongs to Bitcoin.

I think no one can Replace Bitcoin on his Throne because Bitcoin is the Pillar of Cryptocurrency, even if there is a new Technology that 100x better and faster than Bitcoin, Bitcoin will become a store of value.
when we will see first workink platform in ethereum, eth will rise. possibly it will kill bitcoin. alts will rise to.
It may well happen, but I don't see any coin replacing either BTC or ETH. They have their place in the market, and I don't think they can be shaken off their niche.
definitely, bitcoin still be the king in the cryptocurrency and bitcoin still the most expensive coins that we know. the other coins cannot compete with bitcoin although they have the possibility. still, they only follow with bitcoin movements. without bitcoin, they cannot exist in the cryptocurrency and bitcoin will bring a new era for us.
Bitcoin still the king of crypto althroughout. It remains at the highest and no different coin will ever take it's place in terms important and its use. Bitcoin not like different coins will be use as a currency or cash in paying bills and on-line searching. And no different coin has done that even ethereum.
If indeed for the future there is a coin that can compete with BTC and ETH, of course coins must have better prospects than both (BTC & ETH), but I think it will be difficult for new coins to compete with BTC and ETH because there are many platforms that have worked together.
Now this is not important, important to the cryptocurrency market has started to recover and we all started making money.
As I would like to think it would be so hard to supplant the bitcoin from the best positioning right now, since when we don't see anything can defeat bitcoin, even with ethereum itself has not possessed the capacity to beat the current Bitcoin, on the grounds that I think Bitcoin is an amazing coin, and is demonstrated by numerous individuals around the globe.
