If you observe very well , some exchanges are having so few buy order for a lot of altcoins. No one is even buying thats why the low price sell order are getting filled up and the price are dumping. There is higher possibility for more exchanges to close down, more coin get delisted and more project closing down if the market continues this way. Some project has taken up courage to express there disappointment in their inability to savage the situation after a lot of hardwork.
You should be very patient to achieve success especially in the crypto space. The history has shown, that people that are holding crypto always getting rewarded for their patience and believes. I have no doubts that this will repeat again, thats why I do not see any sense in selling your tokens for peanuts at the moment.
If someone still selling means they are very late,they are not going to see any profits when they are selling their altcoins for bottom price but if their intention is to reinvest on the bitcoin or other best altcoins they their choice is right.
Altcoins that are in the top cryptocurrency at the moment should not be sold. Since all these coins are very promising stimulants of the market. The only thing that can be sold now is bitcoin. Every day its price drops lower and lower. I do not understand people who are willing to exchange a huge amount of their altcoins for bitcoin. I think it's stupid. But if there is no money for food and rent an apartment then there is no other way.

There are many reasons when they decide to sell soon. Some people feel depressed and lost belief with market, so they want to exit. Others think it will continue to fall, so they want to sell and buy again at the lower price

well to me the main objective of selling altcoin is to get reasonable profit so I think everybody has a reason for selling. You might be in need of cash and you might want to your altcoin.In short altcoin must be sold it can't be hodl forever.
This is so, in 2018 one should not have expected growth, it was just necessary to invest in the future!
I believe someday the altcoins will do the bullrun it depends how the token roadmap and have a potential to hodl.In my opinion if the ethereum and bitcoim will do bullrun this year or soon. Altcoins will be pump.

And all just people want to compensate for the losses, while taught by bitter experience of the race for big profits. Therefore, there is a profit, throw off, re-enter and continue to wait.
Some people sell their altcoins to prevent losses (dump). Some people also sell their altcoins for personal use. And some people sell their altcoins to buy other altcoins that have better prospects going forward. So I think everyone has a personal interest when they sell their altcoins.
Under normal circumstances, I invest in projects, I will not immediately sell project tokens, I will hold for a period of time, and then consider selling.
The fact that they sold it right away is because they actually spent no money. Because there is no cost, they count everything that comes. That's why they sell early and turn to another.

There are altcoins that can not be kept for a long time better to sell them at the peak of the price and do not keep it. Now all altcoins are far from their highs of course.
I still believe the market can recover so I will not sell the coins I have at this cheap price is not profitable, I better wait until the market really improves even though it takes a long time is not a problem than I have to sell losses.
People sell for different reasons. Maybe they need an emergency source of cash or they have found another reasonable investment elsewhere. So I won't blame them for selling their altcoins
I agree, selling your coins now is crazy, because when the market finally starts to grow, those who sold will begin to regret it!
if we dont believed to developtment of our token projects we should sell it immediately after its listed in market so we could avoid massive dumping and our asset value decrease.
I think most of the recent projects which successfully raised so much funds in their ICOs during the bear run of early 2018 and launched their platform or products successfully in later part of last year are now struggling with their tokens and some of those tokens are actually bleeding so much that they will need miracle to see their price get back to where they actually belong. Just look for Helbiz and World Wifi projects who are doing very well, regular developments are happening behind the scene but their token prices are absolutely destroyed in this long bear run. Well not for me, since usually the first time a coins get listed in the market, there is a big chance that the coin price will drop, so i will wait for the best chance until i got the right price to sell them.Since keeping the value of altcoin is everyone's responsibilities.
Nothing wrong about selling your coin, up to you, but i'm not sell my coin for now, just hodl until the market back to "green" if possible the price like 2017

it's up to you because it's your right and you can do it. it's better if you can wait until good market conditions might be better to wait, because the best and to avoid bad things. if you sell quickly in bad market conditions you will lose, but if that's the best for you it doesn't matter because you might not wait so you let go because the value is getting lower. ))
Sells are occurring precisely because beyond the speculative idea there is no other to not be it! One of the ways to reduce concern about price is possibly a greater utility that outweighs speculative interest! Few projects have this capability. For example, there is a huge expectation for Dapps Games and this is justifiable. It is also returning more patience to these people and questioning their own actions and reducing greed.
