This is far from all, because those who are involved in cryptocurrency and understand the full value of this technology keep coins for future prospects!
people sell altcoins they certainly have a reason and I will sell my altcoins if I see the altcoin price that I hold has a high price and I have already made a profit or if I need money
Very good question juragankambing. Fear is a terrible thing as it does make us do stupid things, but yet i hope common sense would still remain with us. Selling in the dark hr means only securing your lose and make it non reversible. Besides, it also has a huge effect on that particular coin and puts a bigger impact on the market. Please consider it twice before selling.
I believe there will be many reason behind that, some people might done that because of they already got a profit at that time, and another person would have different reason, such as they got a panic attach, worrying that their coins will loosing value if they kept it for a along time.
Hey, what is the rush? Maybe the drawback of Bitcoin having a correction again is the reason why many people are selling their coins at such a rush that they will accept a net loss of their investments so that they may be able to get less loss in terms of dollars. Just hold your coins and wait and don't let us repeat ourselves. We have high hopes for cryptocurrency so we stay holding.
what I saw from what they did was by selling their tokens because most of the participants were their impatience in waiting for normal prices. aside from that, my previous experience was. because I am afraid that the price will decrease if I hold my token, so I quickly sell it. that's the reason I'm selling my tokens the first time I get a gift token.

All of us have different why we sell our altcoin but not of have a valid reason to sell altcoin like they sell their altcoin because they scared on losing money. But, if you controlled your emotion and you remain calm you will not sell your altcoin but you gonna hold it back instead of selling it out.

Hold is good strategy but I'm people has different reason depend their own rules and purposes. They have full control about their asset/ activity but market also have their own answer. In many cases hold win but in this situation " HOLD " will become your nightmare, market is really bad. Up to you and up to them, prepare for the worst and trust no one.
Because most of altcoins fastly lost in price and then for long going on flet.

Nowadays, the market share of Bitcoin is going up and the altcoins are dropping even faster than BTC. Some of the important altcoins such as Cardano and NEO have lost as much as 95% of their value from the peak price. So it makes sense to sell the alts.

Each person has different thoughts. But I think holding now will be a wrong decision. Because when you hold a long-lost portfolio you will not have the money to make money in this market. You will be passive for a long time. That's the disadvantage of the people who hold it now. The recovery time is very long and it's up to 4 years. You will miss many opportunities.

yes, it is true. selling is not the best choice now, you will lose a lots. i'm sure. So do not think about it now.
I think now it makes no sense to sell something
I have to disagree with the OP. I made the mistake of holding on to the altcoins for too long. This happened with Deep Onion, Bitsend and Byteball. Deep Onion had reached a valuation of BTC0.001 per coin back in January 2018. I didn't cashed out then. I waited till September, when I had to sell them for BTC0.00005 per coin.
In my opinion, people selling their coins is because they had a need with the money that they got from it. or perhaps someone feeling afraid that they had to sell their coins at the exact time.
