My long-term view is selling crypto now is like selling Apple in 2001,You do it if you have to do it, you don’t do it if you don’t have to do it,once someone learns about blockchain technology, they want the entire world to use it. Rightfully so, blockchain provides transparency and decentralization, which when implemented in medical and engineering industries and electoral systems, can solve many problems
In my view, the most reasons why people sell their altcoins early:
1. They sell the altcoins to buy top altcoins or others with more potential profits.
2. They claim the altcoins have bad future, the product or MVP may be not quite promising.
3. They want to focus on collecting bitcoin or ethereum only.
4. They want to quit from crypto world and back to real life.
I don't blame those reasons, sometimes the decisions to have the reasons are smart. They can gain more profits with that way. But keeping to hold potential altcoins also good choice, some altcoins have potential to be the next top or popular coins.

Because sometimes just nothing else remains. I have a sad experience when I did not sell my coins, then I thought that the price was too low. and then the price dropped another five times. Therefore, it is better to sell, then to buy at a lower price.
I sell my altcoin because I need money. During the crisis now my saved money has been used. I really ran out of money now. Some of the altcoins that sell well in the market now I sell directly. I think this suffering is a long time ago. Only a few altcoins that I still hold. Hopefully at the beginning of the year the market price can be stable and we don't wait in uncertainty.
I guess some people like the bounty hunter will definitely sell their kin quickly. but not all bounty hunter do that. because everyone knows when early release in Exchange for sure will happen to dump, and they don't want to wait for the price back in a long time. even some of them take advantage of dump coins to buy more, so they have more assets.
Not all coins can show good results in the long run. Some are worth selling immediately. The best thing is to determine for yourself the price for how much you will be ready to sell your altcoin and then keep it until it reaches the desired price.
I have a reason why I sell my altcoin so soon, that is :

Some people sell altcoins because they bought it with credit money and must pay. Most part of people are tier from present situation at market.
There are many reasons to sell altcoins soon. It is likely that investors are concerned that the exchange rate will fall further when the market becomes unstable. Also, if you invest in ICOs, early selling is a good idea because if you do not sell early, the exchange rate will drop drastically as other investors will sell out simultaneously when Token is listed on exchange floors.
For many people it is enough to earn a small profit in altcoins and sell alts to BTC or USDT because altcoin price can fall at any time like any shitcoin or with BTC moves.
Not everyone have the plans for long term holding many have short term or limited profit range. Even many investors do coin swapping also to make profit. Many try to get the new bottom. We see every day, we found the new bottom. It's good to sell sometime to grab the opportunity. In the current situation only long term holding can be profitable.
This is not bad to sell my altcoin to spend money in my real life. I man can sell his tokens without any reason, I do not understand why people keep trying to impose something on other's decision! No one wants to sell in a huge loss but people are selling because they had to! No one can ensure what will happen at the end of this year, but I don't stay poor by holding my all money in coins.

Everyone in crypto has their own strategy. -snip-
It would be just amazing if it was true, but actually not everyone has a strategy, let's admit that most of us just make random trades, buy and sell being ruled by an impulse (or hype/media). People sell when they stop seeing headlines saying "Bitcoin Will Make You Rich, Happy And Will Also Eat Your Pussy"
I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it’s way to early to be selling your altcoins. It’s like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?
Sad fact, i know it is not about all traders, start to trade because all of hype that come from people who already successed in crypto business. But they don't have good skill to follow people who already success that i mentioned before. That is why panic buy or sell always happen in market.
People have their individual reasons for selling their coins and sometimes, it might be personal. I for one can only talk for myself.
There are some altcoins i am holding and most times, the reason is not far fetched from the fact that i believe in their potentials. Then i sell some when i feel there is no reason holding them, because i do not believe in them. So, i might convert them to another altcoin in believe in or i convert to btc.

of course it's done to get profits quickly, especially if altcoin is obtained from the bounty, listing prices are sometimes better than waiting so long

So many people are not willing to sell but I think it's because of how people want to dump the coins on the market that's why people also sell their altcoins.
I just like you, the author does not understand why people sell their coins at lower levels because the price will definitely increase in the future and will cost much higher than it is now
i think humans have dream for be quickly rich. and they buy hearing all coins when expensive. and that coins dumped they are selling. and they are losting them all money.
