I don't think we were given a choice at all. Citizens have privileges, (ex. stay in the country for as long as they want) but at the same time, we have responsibilities and paying taxes to sustain our govt is one of them.

That is the thing the reason why people are agreeing to pay taxes. They are expecting that these taxes are required for the better good of the country. But there are some governments that are abusing the Patriotism of their people and use the money allocated for their country to themselves. It is really the worst, especially with a lot of corrupted people in the position of the government. Still if you refuse to pay taxes you can be jailed, better pay them to avoid this and let's just hope that it will be used for the good not for the worst.

Because there is nothing they can do with it. They do have have the power to stop that because it is a law. And besides it is goin back.to the people in terms of the road the establishments so people will benefit in that. But some people are selfish and corrupt and all those taxes that they collect do not distributed to the government but instead in the pocket. That is why the people wants to use bitcoins and the other cryptocurrency because ut has no taxes but today the fees are getting expensive whih is sad.
