Because of the inequality, discrimination and poor governance of a country. This is not only for a women. As we observed men is also force to do prostitution.  Many of them wants to find a new line of job but there's no opportunity. I also believe that they' re doing it because they can earn easy money but not knowing compromising their health and future.

I think most of the people in prostitution are there because of poverty or they do not have much option left. Many girls are actually forced into it and some maybe choose to be in it. Like some opened their own prostitution business because they believe it is one of the most earning business. I mostly think if everyone is well educated then it will help people to avoid such poor decisions like prostitution or other harmful stuffs. I never saw an educated  girl to face this much problems that she gets into prostitution.

It still boils down to economics. If you have no education, no skills and no money, it's one of the easier ways to start earning. If you're a gal you can even just fake your orgasm and your customer would know no better.

Though it's not always about being totally destitute. I remember reading a book were they interviewed a woman who was taking her master's I believe. Working as an escort meant she can earn money for far less the time her colleagues need to work regular jobs, meaning more time left for her studies and other project. She could have gotten her degree flipping burgers but she figured out that her time was more valuable.

Having masters degree wont do much for her in hell. what people don't understand is that whatever they have in this world will be gone soon, so what good could come out from a few years living by prostitution? they only ruin their own lives by doing this.

Haven't it occurred to you that she probably don't believe in any of that? As long as she use protection so as to not spread disease around, fine. It's her call, she can do whatever she wants with her life but she'll have to deal with any consequences.

By that same logic, all her customers are going to hell too, even if they've only hooked up with a prostitute once in their lives.

Because people lack faith in God, they are afraid of poverty and they simply don't believe that God is the only one who'd provide for them, therefore they would go into prostitution. just a bunch of lost sheeps if you ask me.

If you go to countries such as Thailand and Cambodia, you can find that most of the prostitutes are religious Buddhists. So lack of faith is not the reason for prostitution. And one of the emerging hubs for sex tourism in Asia is the Philippines, which happens to be a deeply religious Catholic country.

Prayers can't soothe a grumbling stomach. Can't say about those first two countries but it's definitely illegal in PH but people do it anyway to support their family. There was a push here to decriminalize it to an extent though. Many human traffickers threaten their captives that they'd go to jail for prostitution should they escape and notify the authorities.

various problems can plunge a person into a prostitute, among all it is social status, poverty and broken home, also the problem of juvenile delinquency and lifestyle, and the necessities of life, the compulsion is done because there is no other job that can accept it, the tendency to obtain quick funds without having to work hard is also the reason why people enter the world of prostitution

I so glad there are people who don't just look at situations for their apparent situation and make simplistic conclusions. To actually do justice to a situation or issue it is imperative to digest all possible causes and angles to it.
The situation of Prostitution for one is one that need not be limited to only as cause of poverty but exploring other possible causes which could stem from various factors aside poverty. They could include: Nymphomania, proving a point, satisfaction of unfulfilled love from family or lover, affection, peer pressures among others

There is no justifiable reason for prostitution. However, some see poverty and hardship as a major reason for prostitution, but this is a fallacy, because I've seen manifold poor persons who have nothing and still do not prostitute. Additionally, a lot of people venture into prostitution due to envy and jealousy. They are always unhappy with themselves thinking they are not as successful as others and wishing to be like others which may result to venturing into the unknown and going extra mile by doing anything within their means to be like others.   Roll Eyes

I think people enter prostitution for two main reasons.
The first reason being to combat poverty, fend for themselves and be financially independent. Secondly, to gain pleasure or to satisfy their sexual desires. But other reasons would include influence from friends and trying to get back at people for wrongs done to them

I agree that money or the lack of it is one of the reasons why people go into prostitution. But if you look deeper into it, you will see that most of those who use this as a reason have issues with self-worth, or are living in a situation wherein they are very desperate for money and no longer see any glimpse of hope to get out of their position.

Because they are also source of money especially for those women who are uneducated and doesn't have the right educational background. But I hope prostitution can be lessened in the next years.

I think the most common reason people get into prostitution is because of
money. A lot of developing and 3rd world countries are still suffering and
generally struggling with poverty, prostitution is the one of the oldest
professions in the world. It all boils down to the lack of financial sources
or income.

Yes, the biggest factor would still be money. When one is desperate and needs fast income, prostitution becomes a quick fix. But overall, resorting to prostitution will also involve low self-esteem, lack of support system and having lack of clear goals.

Everyone has their own bitterness. Perhaps they have difficulties. Perhaps they are self-inflicted, but don't stand high on moral high points!
Proactive prostitution should be someone who is extremely eager for money and does not want to pay too much.

Mostly because they need money really badly. I guess a minority do it because of trauma suffered and some because they are addicted to sex. But mostly its a simple financial decision - need money badly for drugs, family etc. Some are trafficked too and forced into it.

Many people involve in prostitution because of poverty but most of them who are involves in this practice is due to drugs. They want to earn money through prostitution for them to buy drugs.

I have been wondering the reason people go into prostitution, some people will say it is because of poverty,  well am not quoting them wrong but I think there are other things that can actually lead people to prostitution aside poverty. I have come to discover that rejection can actually lead people prostitution, some people have never felt loved accepted even by their own parents, no one have ever hug them or even clean their tears, they show love but are not loved back. This can lead them to prostitution. What do you think is the reason

I think the reason why people lead in prostitution is that they need money to sustain there family or they siblings. She/He is the only person work for their family and maybe She/He does'nt have an opportunity to go in school and learn to has a good work and future. So that, they use their body to earn money.

People go into prostitution for various reasons. For instance some may go in for financial gain, others too for their own sexual desires. Most people use prostitution as a source of income.
