Simple and elegant. If you're lucky, you might just walk away with a nice payout. But long term gambling carries a significant risk of ruin. The math always catches up

Yes I think most of us are correct. Its the simplest form of gambling and people like to keep it simple.

In real world casinos most tourists do slots because they are simple and you don't need to learn how to play them.

+1 , but playing dice is the best choice if people are looking for pure gambling games
it's -EV but it has the lowest house edge if we compare it with other pure gambling games like roulette and slots
some people are lazy to follow sports or to learn how to play poker , so dice would be a good option for them if they want to gamble and throw away some money

That depends! There's a gigantic variety of gambling websites in the Bitcoin economy right now. Something as simple as a coin flipping website with a small house rake from each bet of say 0.2% would still have a smaller house edge than almost all dice sites in Bitcoin right now. "Pure gambling games" is ambiguous. I don't consider dice to be a traditional gambling game.

What do you consider to be a traditional gambling game then? Dice games have been around for a very long time. And they have always been associated with gambling. And yes, house edges could be lower like you say but would they be able to run and maintain the site with it? And still have some profit of course?

I used to play dice because i thought i could make profit, stable profit from it, obviously i was wrong, you can't win in the long term, that was my only purpose of playing dice, other than that i do not find it fun or entertaining unless im winning money, i would not play dice if money was not involved, so my question is, why people still play? Im sure 90% of people know what your odds are and that strategies don't work, what is their purpose? Do you guys really have fun playing dice? Watching a number appear on the screen?

People play dice for several reasons. Mainly because hope to win. But the most of them play dice for the same reason gamble. Then have problems in their mind. Playing dice or gambling is like the drug. If you are dependent from those it is impossible to stop. And for this part of people I am speaking. Most of those are dependent from playing. They cannot stop. They must see a good doctor and then, after his cures, they can stop playing.

Don't think most people that play dice or gamble do it because they're addicted. Many play for fun. It's a form of entertainment. And if they win even better.

Yes, most of them will start playing dice or gamble for fun initially but after some time if not all but most of them will slowly addict to these games. That's why we have so many gambling places.

I think everyone has the same objective as you do. I, for one, played some dice on primedice and well... I lost in an instant. Just looking for some experience though.

And that means one thing, you don't know the odds. It's important that you realize you don't win - house wins, and because of that you can't win in gambling.
You can win some games  but you can't win in the long run. You will probably lose more or be break even in the best case.

they playing dice because on dice there a % to be played...

from 0.01 till 98%,, so there is more chance to get profit...if only they know that % really not important

This is another reason why people play dice.
You can choose the odds to play. Someone people just want to try for a big jackpot by using very high odds with a small percentage.

Entrepreneurs are risk takers, willing to roll the dice with their money or reputation on the line in support of an idea or enterprise. They willingly assume responsibility for the success or failure of a venture and are answerable for all its facets.

Entrepreneurs are risk takers, yes, I agree. However, I don't see any link between entrepreneurs and gamblers Wink. I know a l ot of entrepreneurs that don't have anything to do with gamblers. I may be an entrepreneur soon or later too.

Yes, their future is unsure (and so is your dice game), but as entrepreneur you can actually do something about your probability to success. That's not the fact for gamblers / people that play dice games.

If your are tired of dice, come down and play some plinko!   Check my sig for the link.   We offer a house edge as low as .9%

It's a lot more exciting than dice and there are a lot more payout options.

Checked out the site, interesting game. Definately beats just playing dice. Is there any reason why the max bets are so small though? 7000 bits is a really small max bet size.
