i think many players are addicted not only to dice but also other gambling games as they think they could make a "profit" out of them which is not possible as long as there is a house edge

Everyone lose in the long term all the time - That is a reason why I played it for fun and just putting small investment to play. I learned from my mistake in the past thinking dice game and any other gambling game can give me some profits in the future. Play for fun , if win then much better , if lose , no worries.

You are right that gamblers will lose in the long term in dice, but the same applies to nearly all games (unless you are a top expect in poker or sports bet). At least dice has a relatively lower house edge and is fast and simple to play.

EV stands for expected value, which will always be negative as long as the house edge is positive.
You could get a profit if you are lucky, and vice versa, but that is not your EV.

I still tinker with dice games because it's still fun. It's fun to experiment with various mathematical formulas and random chaotic iterations of mathematics to see how I can make my luck. It's fascinating that you can lose in a very specific way and so I keep looking at it as I have new ideas about a different strategy to try.

Honestly, i don't know why people play dices. From my point of view, first it's not fun, it's uncontrollable situation and last but not least in the end you always lose in a long way. So, i really cant tell why people play, unless they cheat somehow. Unless they have personal issues with their sanity.
