I used to play dice because i thought i could make profit, stable profit from it, obviously i was wrong, you can't win in the long term, that was my only purpose of playing dice, other than that i do not find it fun or entertaining unless im winning money, i would not play dice if money was not involved, so my question is, why people still play? Im sure 90% of people know what your odds are and that strategies don't work, what is their purpose? Do you guys really have fun playing dice? Watching a number appear on the screen?
Sometimes people get addicted and just can't get enough even though they are losing their money. It's also the same with every gambling game, you really can't win against the odds.

Yea but for example with poker or blackjack you can have fun without the need of real money, i do have fun playing poker even if it is not real money.

You can answer that question to yourself OP.

In my case the reason I still play dice is just for fun. Nothing else. Smiley

Because people are addicted and like to lose money. Grin

Of course people will bust in a long term, dice aren't for that kind.
The real winner just plays not for long, with a luck and stop playing again.

It's addictive, same as asking why people bet on the horses, sports and so on.  The illusive 'big win'

People gamble for the rush of excitement, the anticipation of not knowing next one is a win or not. Some play because they want to test their strategy. In general, I believe people prefer to play dice online because it's quick and easy. It's just click, click, and click, pass some time when you are bored and then hop to the next site.

I would agree with you , for long term we can't beat the house. I lost many coins in dice, now I am playing dice not to make a profit, I am playing dice or casino to laundry my coins. If someone want to send me btc, i'll create new account in dice or another gambling site, I will play few rolls with small amount then withdraw it to my main address.

You don't really have to play. You can withdraw it even without playing anything. I don't think Dice site operators care about laundering but it is better to do it through a mixer than a dice site incase you are doing something illegal in your country.

Kind of exactly what happened with me too . I started playing dice and used to play a lot and eventually the losses started accumulating and I gave up on it . Probably most of the people who play it are new to it as well.

well you answered for yourself.
Poeple know that the odds are against them. The house edge is mathematically
unbeatable. However bitcoin dice sites have very low operating costs
and thus are able to offer low house edge, much lower than the popular
"industry standar" sites. Personally, I think that you shouldn't expect to make money.
It is just a form of entertainment.(expensive entertainment).
This is why people play dice on most cases. It is just fun.
