Yes, you are right, sports betting is actually easier for people who know how to play and even know about the strength of the team or athlete we are choosing to bet on, while we can get wins easier because we can guess than playing sports, which is difficult for us to guess how to play, let alone to win. the game is also difficult to predict that's why most people prefer certain sports betting.

We believe that once we identify the sports that are no longer a 50/50 chance, we can gain an advantage, and focusing on just a few sports in sports betting increases our chances of success. The reality is, the majority of sports bettors are losing money, which is enough for sportsbooks to stay in operation for a long period. If we are one of the few who can make a living in sports, then we can live a wonderful life as a successful professional sports bettor.

Those who are serious in sports betting are dreaming of making a living in sports betting, that's my ultimate goal as well.

I guess it will be more odd if you just bet even if you don’t know the whole thing about that sport, it’s like putting yourself at its losing end even if the betting has not yet started. That’s why most of us here would only want to bet on the games that we are also familiar of, on the game that we have certain favorites that are most likely to win and manipulate the game. I have some experience in this from baseball to soccer. I know how the game is played once upon a time when were kids we were influenced to watch events in school but national or international teams is out of my league. Didn't stop me from betting the sports though.

I kinda like betting on eSports like Fifa as the games are much shorter and the odds can be much greater, however you really have to get a feel for the skills of each player and get the bet timing correct. If one player is able to get a couple goals ahead then it gives them a huge advantage (much like regular football) and the price is much better than you'd get in a real world match. Surprisingly not many sites have them and I've found that the ones that do can be a bit erratic - not always having them on a regular basis or stopping them for long periods, the logistics of these games must be difficult to manage? If you follow the teams and players outside of the betting site, sometimes you can make strong picks.

I suppose the reason esports are not being offered by casinos with the same urgency than traditional sports has to do with two main reasons.

The first one is that right now they are not as popular as their regular counterparts, but the second reason is that the game itself and the controls change with each iteration of the video game, so casinos do not really have enough information to give precise odds to those matches, meaning that even the casinos are taking a risk by offering those bets, as it could turn out they are severally underestimating some players or not giving enough weight to some of the mechanics of the game and this could cause them to lose money over the long run.

Certainly, there are specific sports that people love for their entertainment, or because they love it so much doing it at the same time, and sometimes because of popularity and some because it is easy understanding it, and sometimes there are certain aspects of sports to be likable for them to gamble in it, for me I have certain sports that I am betting on I can give certain sports and a betting style that I am doing with it

NBA - surely many are familiar with the NBA and everyone loves the sport of basketball well if you are knowledgeable about most teams in the league certainly for those teams that are entering a certain seed and for me the play-offs is a perfect opportunity for you to enter in betting in it, and right now because the teams are now set to take on familiar teams and if you have certain knowledge about the teams then this will be effective,

Esports - for this certain kind of field there are many to choose from we have Dota, Dota 2, CSGO, Counter-Strike, and many more I think this will also require certain knowledge about the game, then looking at the rankings and picking a side in this one you just have to pick certain teams that have a certain chance of winning,

Boxing - Certainly asking many people in the field about a certain fighter you can get information about it this certain sport we all know many well-known fighters which is why this is certainly the easy one to be the favorite for many gamblers they also put as much money on certain fighters that can show potential in winning,

For sure this would really be that where it does have huge fan base plus having that huge numbers of bettors considering about the popularity but somewhat it does have different

I like the last thing that you said but the only difference about religion is that some of them are strict and won't allow you to play gambling. Imagine if you are born as a Muslim, do you think you can enjoy football as whole (100%)? No, because you can't place a bet on your favourite teams however the actual sports can still be allowed so you still can enjoy it at 80 to 90% level. In south east countries , cricket is the most famous game but in other countries they also have their own favourite game. Pretty interesting, isn't it?

But like you said, we can still have an extra favourite and there are people who are not into the mainstream. Like me, basketball is famous in our country but I am not addicted to it.

I think all our choices about life are determined by psychological factors. My childhood years were spent among people who were interested in football. That's why I'm interested in football. That's why I bet on football matches. If I had had a different childhood, I would have had different tendencies and orientations. Of course, I also like to follow other sports. I agree with everyone, we like to bet on the games we enjoy. There is a big collaration between which games you watch even if you wouldn't bet on it and the games you wager on as well. I like to bet on soccer, baskeball and f1, those are my three vices and I watch all of them.

I watch soccer anytime I can when they are available, I watch NBA a lot later than that because it's after midnight here anyway, and I watch f1 when it happens which is only 23 times a year so it's not really that much of a race. All of which combined means that they do not really get on top of each other that commonly neither. Not that it never happens, but I prefer the rarer one in that case to watch so I would be able to go back and watch the highlights of the other one. I bet on them that way most of the time.

You bet on what you know. As many people are watching football and also prefer it, there are more people that prefer football betting. As for me, I personally prefer football betting because I am more exposed to football and it is what we mostly talked and argue about.

It is what you know that you will bet on. People that know much about other sport also bet on it. If you know about tennis, you will find yourself betting on it too. So is basketball too and others.

Right. You know there are high chances to win if you bet on the game you really know and the game you have high background on it. Otherwise, when you bet randomly, it’s like you only bet to lose and nothing more. But if you think you know every game in sports betting, so there’s no need to bet in a single game specifically. You can just bet in all of them, rest assured that you have your favorite player or team in every game so you can make your best bet and with luck aside, you can win on what you bet.

Exactly! why do we need to choose different sports if we are already comfortable for one. As long as we can get profit from it it doesn't matter if we need another sports. Also, it will be a waste of time we all have a work or other activity and it is better to make a bet when you know more about the team or a person you are betting with. I totally agree with that, Mahanton. I think a lot of people bet on sports for the entertainment value as well. It adds excitement to the game and makes it more engaging to watch. And if you happen to win some money along the way, that's just a bonus. Wink

And, it's not uncommon for people to make bets based solely on the team that's heavily favored, without considering the odds or potential for an upset. Especially newbies. But in reality, there's always a risk involved and that's why it's important to do proper research before placing any bets. It can definitely increase your chances.

Not only having that adding up chances or odds of winning but also it do really adds up the entertainment and enjoyment you do seek on which it would really be just sensible on having that kind of dealing instead
of doing or choosing up some sports picks which you arent that even aware on what it is. Although there are people who do really jump into other sports and make bet on it because they would be simply sticking out
to those heavily favorite and believe that they could really be able to make money or wins on high chances which its not proven out but for sure this is one of the main reasons
on why people do really love on having that crossed sports selection despite of lacking that knowledge.

The most probable reason is obviously what you described yourself, a person tends to bet on a sport that he understands pretty well, has been following for years, knows how the teams perform, who are the best players in each team, etc. That definitely makes your chances higher of winning a bet since you will probably have knowledge about both teams involved.

I think sports where a single thing can influence the whole result are based on your luck but even those sports can be mastered like boxing, I know its a sport where as you said, a single kick or a punch can change the game, but it doesn't happen all the time, and experienced boxers will probably win most of the times again novices.
