When it comes to sports betting, my most preferred sports to bet on has always been football, simply because (like the op said), it's majorly the only sports I have some good knowledge of, in football, I have a better chance of winning my bets, compared to other sports like the MMA, volleyball, basketball etc.
And to be sincere, I've always wished that I had deep knowledge of all this sports, so that I could comfortably bet on them the say way I do with football, but then, my daily schedules won't allow me have the time to follow up on this other sports, apart from football.

Spending on unknown sports is kind of testing our luck in sports betting. When we place a bet on known sports, it gets connected with the skills. We analyse well about the players of the squad as well as the opponents. This lets us to make the right prediction. Even these bets fails, but it won't hurt us. When a bet placed on random choice fails, the mind have the thinking we shouldn't have done it.

If not we need to go with the odds suggested by the platform. Most of the time lower odds used to win, and not everyone wish to go with the low odds. When we do these kind of bets good is to spend little and experiment how things work and increase the bet value.

There is a difference between betting in norma; card games vs sports betting.

In normal games in the casino, there are only a few ways where you can reduce the risk of you losing. The factors that contribute to your win/loss are only a handful that you can control in order to at least turn the tide of the battle.

In sports betting, there are several factors for you to consider in order to increase your chances of winning. For example, if you have actual data of a certain team on how they are performing, then the chances of you picking the right team may contribute your chances of winning at the end. So the argument that sports betting is still a 50-50 sport cannot apply here.

certainly, it is easier to bet if you live and breath a specific sports. would you bet good amount of money to a sports you are not very familiar of? i don't think so. so the answer here is very simple, you bet on the sports you are more familiar with. and with your passion, you will be more comfortable placing your bets to the athletes or teams. and you will enjoy watching their games as you know the sports by heart.

I bold the part that where it ends up why it's easier to have a favorite sport to bet with.

We all know this is a passion to most of us and being a fan of a certain sport makes sportsbetting easier. You'll into little to big details which is applicable when you bet.

Especially in a community that you live, information is from here and there and when you attach gambling on it. Well, things will be easier for you but still not guaranteeing that every bet you make will win.

It's easy like all the rest here our reason is we have a good chance of winning if we know the game very well, you're putting in money so why not put in money on something you are very familiar with and you actually watch and follow, sports betting is not like a dice game where you just bet and roll and see if you win.

It seldom happens there are upsets but upsets are something you cannot predict accurately, it just happens and it's considered gambling betting on upsets, some sports bettors bet on it and they are aware of the risk.

Gambling should really be for fun and of course you would really be considering on betting on sports which you do really know or you do really have the idea on what it is, unlike when you do just simply place up bets

just because you do see that it is considerable or someone who do suggest then i dont see the fun or entertainment on there.If it would win then its great but you cant really feel up the thrill.
Im somewhat guilty on this because i do always stick out on whose been the favorite even on different sport but most of the time i do really
make out bets on sports which i do literally know and see it live on whose gonna win.

Where I live football is king. We eat, sleep, and talk football. Almost everyone one of childhood friends wanted to be a footballer. We could go on to banter on who was the best defender. Who is better Ronaldo or Messi? And then when sports betting began, it was easy to carry on this passion into betting. At least we should not just banter but find an indirect approach to make money off our bantering. So, there you go. There are other sports our country participate in which we can easily bet on but 95% bet on football and you just have to follow peer pressure.

Well, the very basic answer to this question which also contributes to your chances of winning is because you like that specific sport and you knew it very well generally, thus reviewing and analysing the matches won't give you much trouble and won't take you much time to determine which odd or teams will give you the best winning profit.
Basically, the outcome of the game is 50/50, despite of who the underdog is.

I guess this is pretty much easy to answer as its only wise for you to go stake on sports you are familiar with but sometimes the sport you feel you know too well doesn't yield any good outcome after putting your money there. I sometimes try other sports like basketball and baseball although I have no much experience on these sports so I just go with the lower odds provided by the bookmaker and hope on the one true base to anyone actually winning a bet which is luck.

Most likely has to do with their knowledge of that sport.  The more you watch and are interested in a sport gives you a slight advantage to know when you shoukd or shouldn't bet.  If you don't watch it, you have no way to know if a line is favorable or not.  I got to think that's got to be it for most people.

It's because someone who's into one sport and focuses on it has got a lot of edge due to his knowledge and understanding of that sport. Even me, if I'm aware of the sports that I'm betting on, I understand that there's a better chance to win there because I know the ins and outs of it.
I'll make myself keep updated on things related to it before I cast a bet on any particular match that I'd be interested in. Because if you know the players and people that you're placing your money and their opponents, that's an easier guess with some thoughts on how your bet can potentially win.

Little I tell you, I am a football lover. in my country, football is more popular than any sport there is. maybe if I'm not wrong, we are among the 5 countries in the world that are the most fanatical about football. so, it's only natural that we love this one sport. plus, when I was young I also played football.

Well, why do I like to bet on football. yes, one of them is because we love it. also, I studied a little with formations, systems, patterns, whatever it is, I have a little knowledge and insight about it. so every time I make a bet, the first thing I check is the team that will compete. even though we already have all the previous information, we still need the latest information, whatever it is, including who the coaches of the two teams will play and this assessment is important to me, including being considered at a later stage.

Actually, what I'm doing is quite complicated, but I'm used to it. all into consideration, and finally look at the available odds. if it's not relevant, I'll look at other options. not to forget, I also compared the results of community analysis. so in essence, if you want to minimize losses. we must involve insight, knowledge, analysis and foresight. the rest, let luck decide.
One more thing, in this process, for me it became very interesting and challenging, there was an adrenaline rush when watching the course of a match.

Passion plays a key role in my chosen sports. I will not bet on sports I don't like or am not passionate about. My gambling life is driven by the combination of entertainment and financial benefit. I will also stake in games that give me happiness or entertain me to a large extent.

I also don't just bet based on baseless speculation or hearsay. I have to analyze my games which will assist me in prediction. If this is the case,  I need to have a deep understanding of the sports I want to gamble on. So except I have an average understanding of particular sports, I will not favor them or stake in them.

Another issue again is timing. Football is my favorite because the games are usually played on weekends when I am not at work. The timing of the football game gives it an advantage over other sports.

Think the answer is yes there are some sports that are highly favoured by bettors since their can easily predict it outcome and sport like football and the rest can easily be analyzed and gamblers can win.

Also aside from that football is the most watched sport and its speculations and analyses can easily be gotten from other spectators who may want to freely discuss the team's previous performance and their chances.

This is what makes football the most speculative sport among other and so many other aspects that attract people to a particular sport.

When you have a sport that you have special interest in definitely you will earn money by gambling on it, my own preference is soccer being an ex-player as well as having a vast knowledge in few of the major leagues makes it easier for me to place a bet on few of different type of soccer betting like Btts ( Both team to score), handicap etc, I also watched many soccer matches and highligywhi help me in my analysis, however I only watch few other interesting sports like Basketball, Lawn tennis, Table tennis and Boxing but I never pick any interest in placing a bet on any of the above mentioned sports except soccer being one of the most popular and widely accepted sport.

Gamblers will bet on a specific sport most of time for different reasons, which are all connected among themselves.

It can be because it's their favorite sport, it can be because they have vast knowledge about the sport and its containing elements, it can be because the industry is more focused on this sport, so it's more profitable and interesting to focus your efforts on what is hyped by the market.

Not for nothing is soccer the most popular sport at bookies.

Recently, my favorite league and sports would be MLB and esports, I usually stay away from MLB but these past week or so I've been riding a few teams from their hot streaks with success, it won't last long though as the bookies will eventually catch up and correct their odds.

And for esports, it's simply my interest in the game because I used to play some of them so it doesn't take much time to understand when watching it at a higher level.

The idea of favoritism is enough to explain things. Would you bet in a sports you know nothing about? More likely not right? u less you will have a tip or the matched is fixed, wherein you could seek for profit rather than enjoyment. But most of the time, a gambler would bet only on sports wherein he/she enjoys watching and ofcourse making profit from. It would be a combination of profit and entertainment.
